You build an awesome setup right there. You could put a box above the filament, which is printing right now to protect it from dust an humidity

I appreciate the feedback! I was pondering early on protecting the filament up there, but I found in my 3 years of printing and 80ish rolls of filament that dust is never an issue and fortunately where I live humidity is not that bad either. Filament is typically only on top of that printer while I'm printing and then it goes back in the dry box with the dehumidifier units.

Thanks for sharing your build and the thingiverse collection. This is very helpful and looking like the setup I plan to build. I just have to figure out if I can vent through dryer vent in my basement or if that will be a problem here in frigid Minnesota. I will either vent to outside or have a HEPA and carbon filter. Is the limited weatherstripping you added and the fan power enough to create negative pressure? I guess these enclosures don't need to be completely sealed along all the plexiglass edges in order to create negative pressure with the fan?

In my case it worked out well. I can light incense in there and while the fan is running none of it gets out into my room. That was a pleasant way to test instead of trying to smell printing vapors. 🙂 Even when the fan is running at a lower speed, it still creates a negative pressure in there.

NIce setup. What temps are you shooting for internally in the enclosure for printing ABS, PETG

Not sure actually... just however it ends up. :) It does hold in some heat but I'm sure the exhaust cools it a little. Better than fully exposed however.

Thank you for the video. Could you be so kind as to give me the internal measurements of the printer enclosure. I want to see if my new printer will fit.

The table surfaces are 55cm x 55cm x 5cm. The leg pieces are 40cm x 5cm x 5cm. Some LACK enclosure printed parts have height extensions designed into them as well if you need more height.

@@jurassic7313 Thank you for the fast response. Your mod is exactly what I was looking for in an enclosure. I will measure the printer after setup but it doesn't look like the lack tables are big enough.

How's the tabletop when you drilled a hole for the exhaust? The tabletop seems to be not completely solid.

The table is hollow core with a cardboard honeycomb. So essentially you're cutting through maybe four to five millimeters of board and then it's hollow for 2 in and then you have another sheet cutting through. I used a jigsaw and Icut each side separately.

Awesome setup. Thanks for sharing. Do you remember the cost of this setup?

Thanks! $200 to $300 depending on which Raspberry PI, power strips, fans, leds, etc you purchase.

There should be a link for the power relay in the thingiverse item.

@@hanslain9729 hmm I may be bling because I don't see it. I see a status monitor but that's all.
