    Thank you! I wish there was an actual tool to do this perfectly but this is still pretty good. In any case it's still a lot better than trying to make a straight line freehand.

  • @thorjohansen5125
    @thorjohansen5125 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Still not perfectly straight. There's slight offsets on each layer of the seam. Mind boggling that a straight line seam tool isn't available yet.

      And it would be the easiest thing in the world to add unless someone is dumbfounded about how vectors work :)

    Nope, none of the methods mentioned work for me (2.7.1).

    • @lucase764
      @lucase764 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try this instead: 1. Select paint seam. 2. Left click where you want the seam to start and hold down your left mouse button. 3. Press escape (while holding down the left mouse button. 4. Select paint seam again. 5. Click where you want the seam to end.

    thanks, i will definatly try this, i find it weird that prusaslicer dont have any good raft settings still. simplify3d creates amazing rafts right out of the box, but not everyone can afford it offcourse.

    Do the hex files provided by GitHub apply equally to the left and right? Do I need to put a different hex file for the left and right keyboards? Please let me know

      I don't have any idea to be honest. Sorry. You might check printables or thingiverse for many upgrades.

    This looks perfect and I think I can print it at my public library. By any chance, did you make another file for the two smaller buttons on the same blender to release the blender stick from the motor stick?

      Glad this will come in use. I did not yet design button covers for the stick release buttons.

    You build an awesome setup right there. You could put a box above the filament, which is printing right now to protect it from dust an humidity

    • @hanslain9729
      @hanslain9729 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the feedback! I was pondering early on protecting the filament up there, but I found in my 3 years of printing and 80ish rolls of filament that dust is never an issue and fortunately where I live humidity is not that bad either. Filament is typically only on top of that printer while I'm printing and then it goes back in the dry box with the dehumidifier units.

    Just a FYI, there is a remix of that tensioner that only uses two screws in the middle. A bit easier to adjust.

      Thanks for the heads up! I saw that version but I prefer the four screw version.

    How's the tabletop when you drilled a hole for the exhaust? The tabletop seems to be not completely solid.

    • @hanslain9729
      @hanslain9729 ปีที่แล้ว

      The table is hollow core with a cardboard honeycomb. So essentially you're cutting through maybe four to five millimeters of board and then it's hollow for 2 in and then you have another sheet cutting through. I used a jigsaw and Icut each side separately.

  • @ultrazep

    Thanks for sharing your build and the thingiverse collection. This is very helpful and looking like the setup I plan to build. I just have to figure out if I can vent through dryer vent in my basement or if that will be a problem here in frigid Minnesota. I will either vent to outside or have a HEPA and carbon filter. Is the limited weatherstripping you added and the fan power enough to create negative pressure? I guess these enclosures don't need to be completely sealed along all the plexiglass edges in order to create negative pressure with the fan?

    • @hanslain9729
      @hanslain9729 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my case it worked out well. I can light incense in there and while the fan is running none of it gets out into my room. That was a pleasant way to test instead of trying to smell printing vapors. 🙂 Even when the fan is running at a lower speed, it still creates a negative pressure in there.

    I am absolutely pumped to make this keyboard. Thank you so much for your super thorough Git and videos! I ordered all the parts I didn't already have today and I'm going to get started printing the parts. I can't type on a regular keyboard anymore, ergo is the way to go. The one I'm using now is enormous though, it takes up so much of my desk's working space. I'm excited to be able to move the parts around and have a more efficient workspace once my new split89 is good to go. Thanks again!!

    • @jurassic7313
      @jurassic7313 ปีที่แล้ว

      The table surfaces are 55cm x 55cm x 5cm. The leg pieces are 40cm x 5cm x 5cm. Some LACK enclosure printed parts have height extensions designed into them as well if you need more height.

    • @idmnstr
      @idmnstr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jurassic7313 Thank you for the fast response. Your mod is exactly what I was looking for in an enclosure. I will measure the printer after setup but it doesn't look like the lack tables are big enough.
