Yes, but you would have to programme the unit to harmonise to the key and scale that your song is using. Another option for using this kind of product in your studio could also be the voice works plus. Works the same, same quality but without the pedals for live control. Hope that helps!
I picked one of these up off ebay for £1.70 spares or repair and my mate just messaged me to say he's fixed it for me.. Woohoo, can't wait to get it back and have a play :O)
It doesn't do anything to make your voice stay in tune. It's primarily meant for harmonies and back up vocals. For people that have to work a lone, this is great.
It's been set a bit low, but it does sound a bit better if the gap isn't so big. You see it modulates your voice to get the backing voice so it's all relative.
I plan on ordering one within the next couple weeks. Looks like programming through the device interface is cumbersome. They have free software on their site that makes programming much easier.
Hey Laura, you got my money tonight and I even went to World Music since they sponsored your video. You sure made it look easy,I only wish you could deliver it and show me how to use it. Wish me luck, it's on it's way.
guys, it's a cool product, it reads the chords, maybe you can get someone to help with the clicks, if you find it difficult. Hey but sure beats have to choose your singing notes carefully. The male/female tonality of the voice sounds good too. I would get a TC ELECTRONIC if I was doing a solo set.
The best guitar player I have seen on this freaking channel so far... She can freaking sing great too. Whammy sucks... sorry- he does. Poor guy wasn't even in tune in one of his schecter videos.
I do a lot of John Denver, Jim Croce etc. So I obviously do a lot of finger-style guitar work. Will this work with finger-style accompaniment ? The harmonizer I work with is strictly chord driven and doesn't work well with finger-style accompaniment.
A clear distinction should be made between effects and correction. While e.g. reverb and delay add space but don't change your voice in any way, pitch correction and processing DO change your voice (enhance it, or better said - correct your mistakes) so it SHOULD be considered cheating. A paralel with guitar could go like this: while distortion pedal is not cheating, an autotune pedal (if such exists) is.
@nickeeboy this product is 5 years old now... check out the voicelive 2 and voicelive touch these track guitar chords or midi playing, no programming required and is amazing in comparison to this for everything else too! :)
While there are a lot of features common to VoiceLive and VoiceLive 2, there's a lot of great new stuff on the new unit - check out the TC-Helicon site...
When I played on stage with my TC. My mic would pick up my guitar a send out garbage through the mains. I loved the way my vocals sounded but I had to run my guitar amp at a very low volume to fix the problem, then I couldn't hear my guitar over the drums, our drummer is super loud.
THis is a good point. I gonna demo'd this at a gig, Duo, bass acoustic guitar, to see if it will fly. It can go 2 ways: Either they think the bass player is singing great harmonies, or they'll realise and may not believe a word I sing. But then again, its a pub... I'll let ya know, but I reckon the people MOST effected by the songs, will feel a bit weird hearing something not real.
@CDAFishboy not really dude, you actually have to have good sense of pitch to be able to use these fx. If you have bad ears, bad pitch control...you're screwed.
wow the harmonizer is so good, compare to some vocal shit i have used on software or on the new boss roland gadget, digitech do also good job but this is very good.
well with all of this tech you can make things that you can't possibly make in a band. you'd need 10 drummers/percussionists to make an extremely fast/complex beat. you can make electronic music with an acoustic guitar for example. and while it may require less skill, it requires lots of creativity.
I know this is a great piece of equipment, but I own and love the Digitech Vocalist Live 4. A lot less footwork and the harmonies are perfect! A friend of mine told me to get the helicon said I couldn't go wrong. Got the Digitech and couldn't have gotten any better!
with the hamony holder, can you hold a tone that is not your harmony, but your real voice and still ceep singing?? it doesn't have to be the harmony that is holding??
I've heard this thing in the real world. The engineer hadn't really ventured deep enough into its ability but it sounded slick enough. I consider that to be due to the fact that this is both an acoustic demo and 99% wet in the mix. If this was set at a decent mix level and put into a gig setting, i would have more faith. Also you must consider the degradation of a youtube upload compared to real sound. As a FoH Engineer i wouldn't throw my toys at being asked to implement this into a show.
There is noticeable delay in the male harmony signal. This box is probably the best vocal processor for the money, but this demo isn't all that good. The last demo I saw for this box had me salivating for the thing.
HELO . Question about the Hrmoniizr , what happens if the tone is not entirely deliberate, whether it gives an accurate third sound (whether the device is fixed on a precise adjustment) or get along with forgery of sound and gives third sound remains intentional ?
Ok Ok I admit it, I program MIDI sequencing, do live to 2track rec mixes and do post production stuff. You must be quite a tech type person to use this box, but it makes you sound good if you know what you're doing. The players in the bands I jam with just want to plug in the power, play and sing and expect to sound like the Eagles or Beach Boys. Not going to happen, unless someone plays MIDI harmony notes into that MIDI In port on the back of the unit.
Its interesting how some folks in the comments below seem to think this device is somehow "cheating". Generally, those people have decided some equipment is not cheating (multitrack recording for example) and some is (the voicelive). They've drawn that line in a totally arbitrary manner.
A "step" in the right direction, but you really need to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time here. There seems to be so much to remember and process mentally as you play; and in a live situation this would leave me out in left field as I went through the 20 or so songs in my set. I would need a crib sheet on my forearm like quarterbacks do to keep it all in line. =)
i can agree with you emeto, but i do hate how not musically inclined people see these things, people absolutely hate when a singer cant hit their high notes on stage like in the recordings, i really think if singers cant sell it on stage they shouldnt record it as such but if they have this they can be a sham on stage and in recording
well i am still wiating to hear from any one that knows where i could buy this product !!!! i checked on amazon and this site but cant find anything like that
hello laura are Italian boy, I saw your video of the live voice. I would like to know if you can have it in my language. I bought too, but the voice 'I think it will not be easy endeavor, you can help me? hello and thank you!
@CyysVideos because jesus christ have you ever tasted the magic feeling of working harmonies for real with a real band of signer? its simply amazing, to be 2-3-4 people and sing together, you feel the emotion and you connect with the singers, more than ever... And its a lota work, but at the end of the process when everything is finally in place, and you start signing, its magical... but then you got this women saying "look! zus pluge yoo miic in heere an yu gut all the job donne duuh"....
Can anyone help, I have this effects pedal for voice, months ago I could not use it again because on the "MIX" appears to me this does not allow me to set right the other options, flash and their values change alone, is completely misconfigured, really do not like that the word "MIX" can not continue to appear and continue using it as before. thanks to who can help me.
Hey man! I bought this too, and I live in norway. Do you have any what kind of charge adapter (how many watts) this thing needs? I threw away all the stuff that came with it, because I thought I had all the adapters needed..
DAMN, She sold this to me in August of 2021!! Great job.
Talk about a demo. She's really sold this thing. I actually want one now. Good job.
No box has ever been created that actually WRITES a hit song.
A great song trancends the style, the medium and the equipment required to deliver it.
Hi, I'm from the future. We now have AI.
@joninio6542 Hi, I am from your future's future. Worship your AI Overlords.

You sold me on this unit with that fantastic demo! You have a killer set of pipes sweety awesome chick. That Arnold effect was pretty cool.
Thank you Laura, this is very well presented
Ah great! It's wonderful to hear some feedback on how people are getting on with our products out on their gigs! Best wishes, Joey

I have to buy one of these now, if only for that song.
or my god, how much fun can you have with this thing!
I plan on ordering one within the next couple weeks. Looks like programming through the device interface is cumbersome. They have free software on their site that makes programming much easier.

@BuckPlayer3000 Agreed. It's simply another tool to use in creating your art.
Hey Laura, you got my money tonight and I even went to World Music since they sponsored your video. You sure made it look easy,I only wish you could deliver it and show me how to use it. Wish me luck, it's on it's way.
No. You can just use it with a mic.
I have heard this with a male singer and its pretty awesome.
She is beatiful so much!
AWSOME!
@omgutt222 the hold button holds your harmony, is up to you if that harmony is multiple or just a double of your voice (same note),
Cool device bro.

This box makes me, as a backing singer, obsolete... serious though; great video!
GENIUS THING!
This is truly nice and helpful toy ;)
Amazing
OH MY GOD I WANT IT!
@CDAFishboy not really dude, you actually have to have good sense of pitch to be able to use these fx. If you have bad ears, bad pitch control...you're screwed.

yeah it does.
thank you. do you have one of these? i think i wanna get one but i first wanna make sure that i'm getting the right thing
that's crazy awesome! but before i get too excited, i want to hear the price.

Buenisimo, con esto se acabaron mis problemas! jajaja
Pretty cool.

as a vocalist who doesn't play an instrument, do i need an instrument (guitar / keyboard) to use this?
Great !
There is noticeable delay in the male harmony signal.
This box is probably the best vocal processor for the money, but this demo isn't all that good. The last demo I saw for this box had me salivating for the thing.
man i've gotta get me one of those
dammmmmmm she can sing to me all night. great singer, great presenter
HELO . Question about the Hrmoniizr , what happens if the tone is not entirely deliberate, whether it gives an accurate third sound (whether the device is fixed on a precise adjustment) or get along with forgery of sound and gives third sound remains intentional ?
very true

I have the Boss BR-1200, can I plug it into my multi-track recorder and record with it? That is what I want to know.
....i want one......can i do screaming harmonys?
wow...some real talent. T Pain my behnd
This product doesn't follow the guitar, but rather the "Harmony G does that". This one requires pre-programming, or follows MIDI (keyboard)
nice guiatr!..can someone tell me what guitar this is?!?
can you hook this up to a keyboard to follow the keyboards chords etc?
Its interesting how some folks in the comments below seem to think this device is somehow "cheating". Generally, those people have decided some equipment is not cheating (multitrack recording for example) and some is (the voicelive). They've drawn that line in a totally arbitrary manner.
1 preset short of me considering it worth buying.
Wow!!

Is this woman an actual singer? Does she have records out, I want to listen!
tem pra vende no brasil
Very cool effect, but think it leaves a bit to much text-to-speech/robotic sound hanging tho.
wow
what guitar is that...??
