I love that this lists all keys around the knob. The Roland only lists the major keys and you kinda have to figure out on your own what the accompanying / relative minor key is. Being a vocalist and not a musician, the Zoom is really helpful listing all the keys.
Good job , that it a the coolest Vocal effects unit I have seen . I'm using a TC Helicon unit and this has many more options and the harmony function is very cool

I could disagree. I got a zoom multi effects processor for a guitar and it had such a weak/ flat tone that I gave it to my niece. She eventually left it here with me nearly unused a couple years later.
Great demo. I found the added harmonies to be robotic. Tc helicon and the ve-8 have more natural sounding harmonies to my ear. I tried all of them over the years. Guitar center lets u take it home for 29 days. Really try it. Things sound different after a couple weeks. Try em soft, loud, feedback limit testing if ur thinking live. Happy hunting. Get that sound.

the delay/reverb is very usable for a vocalist. not much in the way of options but I combine this unit with my desk anyway. ive been getting some great feedback doing Phil Collins using the delay/reverb on the unit. Ive been using the harmonies on Eagles tracks. Took some experimentation but very happy. I do wish I had got the V6 though. Serves me right for being cheap.

Thanks for great demo.I have a ve20 which is I use live with backing trax and is OK. I mostly use double for the song choruses because other harmony setting s are not really usable. Would I need to set a key on the Zoom to each song because I play sax(s) flute fiddle so enough to think about.
I must have seen a dozen demo videos on this piece of equipment and no one ever demo'ed the Harmony feature like you just did. Mostly because none of those other clowns can sing. How can you demonstrate a Harmonizer if you don't sing into it? Thank you for a real demo. I don't need any of those other sounds, but other than a plug-in into a DAW, this is the best harmonizer I have heard. My studio is Old School.. I use a 30 year old, stand-alone sequencer with my keyboard, and a Tascam DP-32 Portastudio. So I need a Harmonizer I can hold in my hands. I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on this one

That's typically usually controlled by the amount of effect (harmonizer) that you put on. I usually have my harmonizer effect amount around 35-45% anymore is too much.
I'm really looking at this one and the Roland VT-4 to have between a dbx 286s and a mixer or interface, so not use the USB sound card functionality. For me, this will be about 2/3 of the Roland VT-4 price, so I'm kind of leaning towards this one, cause it looks very useful.
@@ThePedalGuy One of the things the Roland VT-4 has over the Zoom V3 is that it can use Pitch and Formant at the same time, but for my use, that's about it, but the Zoom V3 has a lot more effects and is fast to use. I don't really think 50% more for the Roland is worth it.

I was deciding between the roland vt 4 and this zoom v3. I think I'll go for this one since the vt4 is more for people that sings with too many autotune or vocoder. I want a processor mainly for chorus, delay, reverb and the telephone effect. But i would like to also get echo and flanger/phaser effects. What do you recommend?
Is there a way to control the Zoom V3 effects from another footswitch or pedalboard? I want to activate chorus effects only during the choruses, but it’s inconvenient to switch effects manually while playing. Any advice?

It’s so loud, the voice monitor feature I mean. I have my voice monitor set so low but yet islets so loud and if I want to turn it up my ears would bleed. Is the only way to truly fix this, by getting a mixer? Would I be able to connect my goXLR and zoom V3 together?
@@ThePedalGuy I found a on my mic last night that was switched to the on position that increased the decibels by 20, upon switching that to the off position fixed the monitor loudness along with the backfeed

hi, one question: looking at the key selector knob, there's no option for sharp and flat tone key. if someone wants to sing, let's say in F#, or Eb, how to select the harmony for that pitch?
That's a very, very good question! There are flat and sharp keys in grey below the major keys but I can't find out how to switch to them. For example, just below C is Am but I don't know how to choose Am instead of C.
I just got this device. I wanted to ask this: im using a bm900 USB condenser microphone. It does not need phantom power, only usb. If I use Zoom V3 and turn phantom on, will it make my sound quality better?
@@ThePedalGuy yes , but you can plug a xlr cable (regular mic cable) to the zoom v3 and turn phantom and it works . Thing is, while being a mic that can be powered by usb only, will phantom power of the zoom make it sound better? I red a guy that said that it would make it better . Its a bm900 usb mic
Just got 1 nice I had to use 1/4 to 1/4 unbalanced cable to my karaoke cd usa machine model gf920 to make it work. The balance cable did not work why ? Maybe you know why ?

My tc helicon was great at first but then it would lose harmony tracking. Tried two of them.

Not sure honestly.
Its design remember the (classic) TC Helicon's voice Live Touch (1 & 2) . But I think they forget the in mic stands.

Of course. It's a 1/4" output to your PA system. Should work fine.

During in the air tonight the song is in minor but harms sounded major. Is that a catch of this pedal?
hi, one question: looking at the key selector knob, there's no option for sharp and flat tone key. if someone wants to sing, let's say in F#, or Eb, how to select the harmony for that pitch?
That's a very, very good question!
There are flat and sharp keys in grey below the major keys but I can't find out how to switch to them. For example, just below C is Am but I don't know how to choose Am instead of C.

I just got this device. I wanted to ask this: im using a bm900 USB condenser microphone. It does not need phantom power, only usb. If I use Zoom V3 and turn phantom on, will it make my sound quality better?
The question is confusing. Does this mic have a XLR output and a usb output?
@@ThePedalGuy yes , but you can plug a xlr cable (regular mic cable) to the zoom v3 and turn phantom and it works . Thing is, while being a mic that can be powered by usb only, will phantom power of the zoom make it sound better? I red a guy that said that it would make it better . Its a bm900 usb mic
@@dopeod1 Ok, the phantom power on the V3 is pretty decent. It varies from mic to mic though so keep this in mind when using it.

Yes. The reverb, delay and compression operate separately from the other effects. They can be used on their own.
How to set F# minor?
Just got 1 nice I had to use 1/4 to 1/4 unbalanced cable to my karaoke cd usa machine model gf920 to make it work. The balance cable did not work why ? Maybe you know why ?
