@5:50 this issue extended to Gas cars as well, it wasnt just EV cars in china, Before all these Chinese car giants got big 30-40 years ago it used to be the same thing, in order to get government subsidies to show growth they would pump them out by the millions and at the time chinese citizens didnt have tons of money to blow on cars but having that rapid growth allowed the manufactures to scale quickly and 20-30 years later they became megagiants
I have been watching their videos for 6-8 years. This IS information from someone who actually lived and worked in China for well over a decade. His wife is Chinese and her family still lives in China. He and a friend made hundreds of videos riding their motorcycles all over rural China from the South China Sea to Russia. Two of the most interesting videos from both of then are how they managed to escape the Chinese security services when they were told the police were going to arrest them. Many friends they made seem to be still getting current videos to them across the internet bans. If you can check the major ports of Europe there are tens of thousands of new EV sitting in parking lots.
just a friendly reminder, might need to be careful of clips and information taken out of context if your only source are youtube channels. Serpentza and Laowhy86 often do this with their videos; if you'd like some examples I'd be happy to share
@@realtissaye AND CCP shills like you have to lick Xi shoes to keep working. At least Serpentza & Laowhy 86 have a VERY LONG proven career of producing accurate videos from their living there for more than a decade each.
Not just in China. Here in the UK there are thousands of imported and unsold BYD electric cars sitting in compounds and dockyards on the south coast. Probably the same in europe.
SSomething that i've been super sus about is that China keeps talking about how many EVs they're selling and adopting but when you go to china you realize that nobody owns an EV and if the think the Charging network situation is bad in the US its even worse in china, yet nobody ever talks about coverage of the chinese Charging networks. So until someone does a video showing chinese charging networks I'm going to continue to be sus about chinese EV markets. Glad your watching an OG discover china youtuber like SerpentZA.
Did you ever think that the reason they are sitting there is because of stupid laws like American tariffs? All the claims about Ev's being worse for the environment than gas cars are baseless or cherry picked by using the most stupid luxury behemoths possible. Most Ev's break even with the extra energy used to make them at under 50,000km, given some packs last for over 200,000km with million km batteries already in production you can see where Im going with this. Also they have the potential to run purely on sunlight which is kind of a big deal. I drive old toyotas exclusively also, until they start making sensible Ev's for mere mortal wallets....Which they could already be doing if the fossil fuel gravy train wasn't being protected.
Probably not. It sounds like a lot of work. I wish they were though. I don't know too much about battery recycling, but I would feel a lot better knowing that a battery didn't just go to a landfill at the end of its service life.
I am not condoning what has been done here but, to be honest, there are only two such lots depicted here. Also, I would not have that much faith in the media to cover "crimes" such as this here in the West. We have no shortage of secrecy, deception, and cover-ups here. Still driving my 1999 Astro. 400,000kms and sounds like new, burns less gas than my 2015 Dodge Caravan on eco-mode.
That's the best thing we can do for the enviroment in my opinion. Use what we have to it's fullest instead of using consumerism to virtue signal how we're saving the world. Also, if you look at the pinned comment, this video I reacted to doesn't seem to tell the whole story. Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe!
You need to remember that consumer electronics still use more batteries than the car industry. So by your logic to stop the pollution we need to stop buying electronics also that use batteries. Because they are smaller you feel like It's less of an impact, but people change their phones, laptops etc, etc almost every 1 to 2 years and the old one goes to the landfill to pollute more. So we just need to get more serious about our waste. a car battery is much larger, but its used at least 5 to 10 years, and if we actually recycle, we can be much cleaner at the end of the day. Also, burning gas pollutes the air that we breathe.
Schadenfreude just oozes out of the video. Communist China's economic rise to become the world's second largest economy (25Tn US, 18Tn China) triggers cognitive dissonance in many Western critics. These critics have been raised to believe Communion can not work so they can not believe China success is real so they constantly dig for problems in its economy. I see no big difference in China's economic difficulties from the typical business cycle of booms and busts in Capitalist systems. for example, US car prices have declined for many models with months if not years worth of new cars on dealers lots as well.
When you sold a EV you will get subsidy That's the big why.🤣 many of them is low price EV . if the real cost is $5000 but I use the market price to get the subsidy. That's No.1, No.2 is about these shared EV companys to lure the investment
Isn't this guy just some anti-China basher. Any topic he can pick up on, he will try to knock China. Picking up on some story and putting it out to get some views
For the sake of argument let's ignore photoshopped or AI generated content. Even then, many 'real' clips can be taken out of context and spun into a new truth. Having critical thinking online is a necessity nowadays no matter your political leaning. Isn't it perfectly reasonable to question what one sees?
It looks like anybody that watches this guy's videos doesn't actually think for themselves. Whether they like him or hate him, everybody that watches him and comes here to comment seems to be eating lead paint chips.
@@TheTH-camMechanic Actually, the ones not thinking for themselves are the ones who make such claims. I strongly doubt the anti-China TH-camrs would take the risks of having the Chinese government (which operates illegal "police stations" in foreign countries to deal with wanted nationals and other "enemies of China") as their enemy. The fact that China also does a lot of stupid things to "save face" is also known. 80% of the world's plastic in oceans comes from 2 rivers, one of them is in China. They don't give a damn about the environment, Beijing often has smog to the point of needing gas masks to walk outside. My brother lived there, I know what I'm talking about.
