The hair growth results took that time because of the duration of the hair follicle cycle. It probably started on the follicles that were in the hang on stage. Creating a better environment for the hair itself. So when it fell, the new hair had a better environment and was therefore stronger. It probably also worked positively on the hair follicle environments that had slowed and the ones that had stopped producing hairs, causing them to grow faster or start growing again... which takes time to stimulate that environment enough to make that happen

They never had to study for medical but they used to perform succesful surgeries and deliveries, they used surgical instruments made of bamboo with more precision than what we today have. People in the ancient times were way ahead in everything from technology to quality of life and philosophy. even women in the villages and backward areas today work better than midwifes you tend to have and guess what with no c-section no ultrasound and no stay in the hospital. This shows skills and knowledge do not come from degrees. Those women can even estimate the date. I was suffering from hair loss. My derm told me to take pronatal vitamins. Now my hair is lovely and thick. The pregnancy vitamins ( I am not pregnant) made a huge difference to my hair loss after only three months.

    • @secretlybees
      @secretlybees 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

Prenatals usually include a lot of B vitamins, especially folic acid which is why they're helpful for hair loss. B vitamins play a big part in supporting hair and skin health, and low B12 particularly can cause hair loss. A lot of prenatals include biotin, which is known to help hair as well. Other nutritional deficiencies that cause hair loss like iron are sometimes in prenatals as well as vitamin A - retinol. Your reason for hair loss plays a big role in the treatment, but prenatals are often a really great way to get a lot of vitamins hair and skin need, and are relatively safe to try.

sorry, but one of my biggest pet peeves of the hair loss sphere online is when people bring up the comparative study of 2% minoxidil vs rosemary. it's an awful study from the beginning to the end. it doesnt prove anything at all. an even bigger pet peeve of mine is when medical doctor influencers talk about it, highlighting how incompetent they are despite their degrees.
problem 1: in this study, both 2% minoxidil and rosemary only increased total hair count by 2%, that's it. the study also didn't have a control group so we dont even know if this increase in hair count was due to chance or the actual treatments.
problem 2: in the clinical trials of 2% minoxidil, it consistently increased hair count by more than 20%, not 2%. this begs the question of why it unperformed so heavily in this comparative study. we also have no idea where the treatments were applied or how much of each.
problem 3: equal results in one study means absolutely nothing without context of all other literature that shows completely different results. yes, minoxidil and rosemary performed equally in this particular study, but rosemary has never, in no way, performed even close to as good as minoxidil does in literally any other study.
regardless of your stance is, this study should and really can't be used to argue for either side. it has so many flaws and should be disregarded completely. friendly reminder to read more than just the headlines and try to understand scientific literature in a more broad context!

I tried that rosemary oil from the brand you kept showing thru this video (something with an M) and man it had my scalp SO oily! So I’d end up just using it as a hair masque before showering.. I have a lot of thinning hair right at the front of my scalp so having that constantly looking oily was a no go for me.. it’s hard to find an oil that absorbs and doesn’t always stay goopy looking lol
I’m currently using vegamour and have been for like 13 months and it’s been okay.. I see growth in the back of my head and my hair doesn’t fall out as much however I only see a teeny bit of growth towards the front of my head so I def wanna try something else as I’ve givien this brand a solid shot and spent lots of money on it lol

Cruelty free and vegan are different. The first means a product is not tested in animals. The second means it has no ingredient that comes from an animal. A product that is vegan is cruelty free as it doesn't make sense not to use animal ingredients and then test on them.

    • @NT-gq1pv

Sure I'm very happy if I can help ^^. So first of all you seperate the oil and rosemary water from the routine. Don't use both at the same day, it might be too much for your scalp and pores. I just let the rosemarywater sit on my hair for a while...depens on how flexible you are, between 30 minutes and 3 hours. Then I just rins it off with normal shampoo and conditioner. The oil is more aggressive...so I just use it one or two times a week, you massage it gently in and leave it for min 30minutes and max 90min. on your scalp....I also leave the rosemary water in the fridge and look at its colour. If its orange...then make new one but as long it is somehow redish its stable and should not cause any harm to your hair. I hope that helps a bit....the minoxidil I just use at the hairline before I go to bed.@@vivianestudando

There'a potential risk of rosemary oil (that you may not know about)
It's an essential oil, and many essential oils can trigger seizures in some people with epilepsy. Rosemary is known especially for that. I wanted to try it, but thankfully, I was warned.

Hair follicles have three distinctive phases: anagen, catagen, and telogen phase.
Anagen is the growth phase and *approximately 85% of all hairs are in the growing phase at any one time.* Melanin is made in the hair bulb throughout this phase.
Catagen is the transition phase and the hair stops growing and becomes detached from the base of the follicle. The hair bulb begins to break down, resulting in the follicle becoming shorter. On average, 1% of follicles are in the catagen stage.
Telogen is the resting phase and during this phase the hair does not grow but stays attached to the follicle. Approximately 10-15% of all hair is in this phase at any one time. At the end of the telogen phase, the hair follicle reenters the Anagen phase and a new hair begins to form.

While it's interesting that Rosemary oil had a comparable effect to Minoxidil, I have to wonder why they used the 2% Minoxidil but not far more standard (and more effective) 5%. And thankfully Minoxidil is now far less expensive, it's no longer $50 a month since generics are now available... I can easily get 3 months for $18. I've personally had great success with the 2% for my chronic telogen effluvium and with how cheap it is now I have used it for years. I am considering adding Rosemary oil now, as well.

May I ask what brand minoxidil you use? I just started minoxidil and the cheapest I found so far was a brand on Amazon called, Sunyoo. It’s a 2 month supply for $21, but I was kinda iffy about the brand so I’m hoping it works. I also bought some rosemary oil and was thinking I can use minoxidil in the morning and rosemary at night. How long have you been using Minoxidil? I really, really hope it works for me. It’s seems most people I have seen that use it have great results.

I have androgenetic alopecia and sure, using all kinds of products to help with baldness, thinning hair, or all kinds of products and ways to give volume to the already existing hair are great, anyone willing to use them should, great - but can we also simply be ok with alopecia of all kinds??? The pressure is sooo huge and so demoralising, and I'm basically sick of it. I'm sick of topper wigs, I'm sick of trying products, I'm sick of hairdressers telling me to style my hair this way or that to make it look more voluminous, all these trends, all these techniques ... CAN'T I JUST BE ME???? Some people are short, some people are tall, some people have a lot of hair, some people don't???

I strongly advise using essential oils.( you can mix it up with other oils like castor oil, lavender or peppermint) Don't be afraid of having oily hair because it's absorbed rapidly by the scalp. Try a little roll-on dispenser, this way you can easily apply it to the scalp while massaging it. Eating at least 3 eggs a week can help as well.

I tried the water and nothing, so I tried mixing with jojoba oil with permint, clove, tea tree and rosemary essential oil and worked for me, my ages didn’t grow at years, and just now I see the results, I massage my scalp with it once a week , also I wash my scalp every day with luckewarm water and once a week with a shampoo with sulfate, I put a lot of essential oil on the mix and works for me, but I will stop one day

I collect rosemary branches from the bush that grows near my home. I read somewhere that you can put them in the jar, pour alcohol over it (I use vodka) and wait 6 weeks. After that time you can put in on your scalp and it is suppose do help. My scalp is not sensitive and it tolerates alcohol without any problems. I am trying this, together with other things (mainly minoxidil, scalp massage, scalp exfoliator, hair and scalp oils, and other scalp products), for my hairline that became uneven. I don't know if I see results (after about two years), as I don't know if the small hairs that grow there are baby hair or old hair that are broken. But I definitely see that my hair is not falling out as much as it used to.

Alopecia due to stress can be reversed if you treat the underlying condition/cause that is your mental health. Struggling with that myself and I’m a hairdresser, retired due to work injuries and being burnt out as a survivor of trauma. Other things such as inflammation (diabetes and Rosacea), as well as vitamin deficiencies is also important factors, all of which I suffer from besides depression and anxiety aka mental stress. Tho most think hair loss is hereditary even hairdressers, but different types of hair loss. And it’s different to have thinning/bald spots than to have no hair growing at all. My hair grows like weed, always has, but I have bold spots and thinning. And started in my late 20’s, and I’m Asian, and always had super thick hair. And as much as I have abused it thanks to bleach, dye and heat, it doesn’t cause hair loss. My hair was my whole identity, pride and joy, and especially as a hairdresser it’s even more shameful to go bald. And people mock you for it, saying how can someone be a hairdresser yet have no hair? I feel lost, ugly and stuck without it. I’m famous for my many hair styles and colors. I’m desperate, but don’t have the money to get all sorts of treatments.

Just been concious about hair thinning or loss. Start to make a change. Because there are people that don't take care of their hair at all. Treat it badly. Like something that it's just there, and they have to deal when showering. And once they start loosing hair. They suddenly start using better product, dedicating the time to massage the scalp, let the hair breath, change diet or take a vitamin or supplement.
