The trend to wash your hair once a week is not for MOST people. I would do a trial run and see where your scalp is most comfortable with. I was losing more hair when I washed my hair less frequently and found that every other day was perfect for my scalp. You should never need to scratch or feel unclean. If you use hair products often to style hair, you should be washing that out as that can irritate your scalp.
Agree. I have hair loss due to a medical condition. But when I got into the bad habit of washing my hair only every 3-4 days during the height of Covid, my hair loss worsened. Usually, by the third day my hair starts to get visibly oily & flat. By the fourth day my scalp starts itching & gunk will get under my nails when I scratch. There will also be obvious white flakes appearing on the top of my head, which is really not a good look. In the shower, my hair will tangle easily & fall out in chunks & chunks. I reverted to washing my hair every day but bad habits die hard so these days I wash every alternate day. I still have a lot of hair fall during the day (I visibly shed everywhere) & a chunk will still fall out in the shower but at least it’s now just a chunk & not what seems like endless chunks. Two other things that I’ve added to my hair cleaning routine: 1. Using a scalp shampoo about once a week & 2. Going for a hair detox spa session every 6 months, which I would probably stretch to once a year cos a session is not cheap & I’ve already seen improvement. My scalp feels so much cleaner now (& you can actually see the difference on the analyser at the salon), I no longer have itchy scalp & though my hair loss issue has not been resolved at least it’s now back to how it was before I started washing my hair only every 4 days.
I’ve suffered a lot of hair loss the past couple of years. From thick hair, it became very thin and I lose a ton of hair everytime I wash my hair. My dandruff was up to my edges of my forehead. It improved this past month-had good amount of vit D, using a silicone scalp brush, washing my hair more regularly and finally, stopped scratching my scalp. I brush my hair more often especially before showering. I no longer lose a ton of hair everytime I shower, after suffering years of terrible hair loss.
I did the scalp massage method too. But I did other things as a routine to get the best results in growth and thickness as I lost a lot of hair due to trauma and genetics (doctors diagnosis): 1. Scalp massage the method you showed scalp over skull. 2. Fragrance free shampoo: korean cosemetic industry already knows this, and advertise this as standard, without giving a reason why - as its understood fragrance, natural or otherwise, will damage hair and skin. 3. Taoist soap for hair growth 2x a week: this helped me the most in new growth as well as speed of growth. Just use of 2 times a week, apply only on scalp not hair itself. 4. Nettle Tea 2x a day to detox hormone residue in the liver. 5. Collagen powder 2x a day. Get the bovine hydrolyzed one which gave the best results (marine can also work, but its not the best). This helped even my older brother who had genetic hair thinning, and now has more hair amongst all his friends. What can i say, just try and see. my 2 cents anyway.
That is fantastic info - is Taoist soap available in the UK (where I am)? And which fragrance free shampoo do you use? I have tried Necessaire which is good but so expensive and also a Beauty Pie one for fine hair but that one has an unpleasant smell!
@@IYeleven I have just found a previous video where she gives her hair washing routine + products. One of them is Necessaire The Shampoo (Which I have used and like but it is expensive - £30 UK money) Here are the details of her video - hope this is useful 😊 COMPLETE HAIR CARE ROUTINE for hair loss + volume! 🙌 Beauty Within 187,060 views Premiered on 4 May 2023
Thank you for providing such valuable insights in this video. I find it fascinating how few people actually use natural products for hair growth because they are really effective and have no side effects. They changed my life and saved my hair. Trust mee, people, turn to natural formulas, Norlest has it all, and they are actually the only legitimate ones on the market.
I can’t scrub my oily scalp hard enough with my hands, so I use a silicone scrub brush made for washing hair. It’s such a game changer, and so cheap to find anywhere. I also massage with oil, have increased water and protein and have definitely noticed a difference.
i had the flu recently and lost so much hair despite already having thin hair to begin with so i've been stressed and insecure about it... this video really came at the perfect timing, thank you beauty within
1. Scientific hair combing 2. No oil on the scalp 3. Diluted green tea half tea half water on alopecia area for 30 minutes before washing. 4. Deep conditioning for 30 minutes after every wash day. 5. Almond oil on hair ends and in moderation on the hair 2-3 times per week to prevent breakage. This has prevented and reversed hair loss for my natural hair along with good eating habits.
Wash hair daily is healthy. However, i suggest if you have hair loss problem, avoid tying your hair to avoid tension( pulling )- so I go for shorter hair instead. Take NEOCELL ( purchase on line) with 200 g of salmon daily. Hair loss can be due to lack of nutrients- Hence, Salmon helps Collagen and strengthen hair follicles. Tackle the body constitutions first - if you need to dye your grey hair, I suggest you go for organic hair products.
I see a dermatologist every 6 months and she told me I needed to wear a UPF (sun protection) hat and NOT a visor! She has 2 patients that walked a lot like me and wore visors and then got skin cancer on their scalp! I bought a hiking hat (it actually keeps my head cool in the hot weather!) and have learned to see it as my scalp spf! I have an autoimmune condition that will cause me to shed more hair when I’m stressed, have a high fever and i no longer stress more about. If I’m stressed I’ll listen to 5 min meditations. When I first got sick in the 90’s I slowly worked towards washing my hair once a week, I started hair, skin, nails vitamins (my nails show stress or sickness first! Plus they’re the first to show improvement!). I also take collagen. I had covid in September and of course my hair started shedding about 3 to 4 weeks later so I’ve started massaging rosemary oil into my scalp then I use my big paddle brush that’s half boar bristles to work it into my ends (I first completely detangle my hair at the start of this process). I haven’t been doing it long enough to know if it’s working. I also use the Ordinary (tho I stopped when I got covid and haven’t reintroduced it yet!!). Great video!
I appreciate the part about keeping our scalps dry. With the humidity we're experiencing in Sydney I'm finding my hair is constantly damp. My daughter has thick hair and doesn't dry it enough when she's washed it, and we have noticed a lot of dandruff inspite using quality shampoos. We're going to see how drying the roots works for her!!!
Wow thank you. It’s been so emotional for me lately, your video was light a breath of fresh hair and hope. I don’t feel as scared and out of control anymore.
I have been stressing so much because of my hairloss this past year. Thank you for the little reminder at the end I really needed to hear that. I feel less alone. ❤
i know this is the last thing someone with hair loss/stagnant hair growth wants to hear, but check your iron and vitamin b12 levels! and aid iron absorption with follic acid. you need those nutrients for nails hair and skin! I first had to fix my iron, it was hellishly low, and once it was at ok levels I had to start taking b12. I saw an immediate difference in how quick my nails started to grow and how in three months I saw hair growth that I normally wouldn't see in six-eight months! also in the same year I dyed my hair and I hadn't dyed it since before the pandemic, so I was very surprised. to be fair, I have limited heat damage but I still blowdry my hair abt twice a week so I haven't completely cut it out! moral of the story is, be gentle with your hair and see what your body tells you and fix it!
I totally agree! I also had few issues about my hair health and it turned that out my iron levels were pretty low. I have been taking iron pills with folic acid and vitamin c as my doctor advised and i am pretty happy right now ❤
Wow, these are fantastic tips you don't hear everyday. Thank you for sharing your wonderful wisdom in such a beautiful and fun way. That deserves a tip for your tips. 🙂 Blessings from Germany. 💛🙏
Things that have helped me with my hair loss this year: consistently eating a few eggs a week, vitamin D, cutting out most soda, and as for products, the only brand that is giving me an actual result is Mediceuticals. I also use TO's hair serum and Kerastase genesis serum but these I felt did not do a ton.
Ive had a lot of success with these extra care tips, but also using a rosemary oil while doing scalp massage, called Mielle (Amazon, Walmart etc.) Essentially its stimulating the hair follicles along with the massage, to help bring that hair back. My head is full of tiny baby hairs, because its growing back stronger after having fallen off. I cant wait for a full year to pass to see all my hair be evenly one length.
I were told not to use hair dryer after shampooing, let the hair dry naturally. Thank for the your tip I can use hair dryer especially when the weather is too cold and damp.
For everyone losing hair here, I will tell what I noticed to reduce the hair loss. I stopped washing with liquid shampoo and switched to shampoo soap. I was first using Ethique company solid shampoos, they are great but expensive. I then found better alternative. I switched to handmade 100% organic olive oil base soap that can be used on any part of your body. My hair loved it. I cut sugar and coffee at the same time, taking iron pill supplements that come with vitamin C. Also, I dye my hair at home with henna, 100% natural. I add hot strong coffee to make it darker, leave it overnight. I noticed after I started dying with henna, it stopped falling. After henna, when I was washing my hair in the shower, I didn’t see a single hair falling. My hair is very long. It became thick, healthy and shiny after henna dye. Just get brown or black, depending on your hair color. Never buy liquid shampoos. I also started massaging with castor oil, we will see what wonders will it make.
I take iron, biotin, zinc and b12 tablets. I use good hair products and have tried hair oiling. I have extremely thin hair and still lose huge amounts. I just wana shave it off atp. I wish i was rich enough to get a good wig. Ive been to hair experts and my scalp was healthy
Great tips!! I've been doing most for a while but I also learned a lot. You've got a new subscriber here!!❤ I wash my hair once to twice a week. Of course you lose more hair if you go longer because it's hair that's fallen out and waiting to be washed or brushed off
Truthfully the less I wash my hair the more hair loss I have. So I MUST wash my hair 3 times a week. But I definitely agree and practice the massage thing, keep my scalp dry, and put a hair oil on it. It really works
exercise harder, eat lean protein for 30 days, dont take sugar, carbs and fat, just eat lean red meat and leafy steamed greens (not raw) for 30 days - watch how it all improves.
I love your videos so much! Do you have a video on texture on your face that isn't really acne just like.. tiny bumps? I've tried exfoliating but it doesn't really work.
Tiny bumps over the face could be a sign of damaged skin barrier, especially if exfoliating didn’t work. You should search for that and take a look, if you show the other signs of barrier problems. If yes, you should focus on hydration etc and not exfoliating 😊
Did you try rosemary oil? If so, could you tell us about your experience please pleaseee? 😻😻 If not, would you try it? I'm also losing so much hair I'm concerned.
As a guy with short to medium hair I've always been religious with some of the things mentioned here in this video but the one thing that's the most difficult is to brush/comb hair from bottom to top. I feel not only us guys but women with short to medium hair might feel the same way.
I think it’s all come done to your health. I say don’t consume too much sugar. I’m diabetic and I noticed that as my sugar level stays high for too long my hair is thinning. They did say that sugar can cause inflammation
The ordinary multi peptide hair serum for hair density has helped a ton for me!! I have thinning, straight, thin hair and it is getting to a point where the top of my head is balding slightly.. I have applied this serum every night, saw tiny baby hairs after a month and after three months the balding is completely gone and I can see SO MANY new hairs. It is my lifesaver and will buy this for the rest of my life
I'm glad to hear it worked for you, I just bought it and am hoping it works for me too. I suffer from trichotillomania due to emotional issues and am desperate to stop and get my hair growing again 😔
I’ve been losing a ton of hair since I had Covid. It’s been depressing. My Seborrheic dermatitis got terrible after losing hair (maybe there was less hair to absorb the oil??) and ketoconazle shampoo provided instant relief for me. It’s only been a week since I started that shampoo so I hope it helps with my hair loss as my scalp is now less inflamed
If I may ask, when did you have covid? I had it it Nov. 2020 and noticed my hair shedding a ton (especially in shower despite brushing before entering). After a while, I chocked it up to me being in my 30s, but I still think covid was a catalyst.
To people : You should change pillows to satin or silk pillowcases , satin cap , take test blood - check if you have Thyroid hormones or others hormones , illness, anemia , don't shower with hot water only warm water , dont brush rough or change hairbrush( like Olivia garden) just different shape, if you straighten your hair every day - TRY do less , use hair growth lotion , hairband to SATIN or SILK hairband , don't tie hair too tight. Of course it may be of water that you keep losing also take vitamins and vitamin A, E and B vitamins: biotin (B7), zinc , iron magnesium. Also it can be your medicine - that you keep losing. I hope I helped you:)
Try van elkan hair oil, shampoo and conditioner, natural no nastys doesn’t strip hair, I have so much less shedding, since I found this I don’t use anything else.
10:45 Same!! My day feels incomplete without eggs lol. I really want to add egg to whatever I'm eating like if it tastes bland and all but my mom doesn't allow it 😭
Yes me too. Love doing hair/head massages but it scares me when it feels and looks like half my hair is falling out. Even if the massage is doing good in the long run, it's sort of off putting seeing the amount of hair loss 😭
I got a really bad scalp sun burn in SF and have learned my lesson and try to wear hats or find ways to limit my scalp exposure to the sun 😢😂. It was so gross and flaky
Hi, I'm new to your channel...I've had problems 😔 with my hair for quite some time. Ques: how many times a week do you shampoo your hair and do you do any scalp oil treatments?
Your video dropped into my feed at just the right time! I have tried silk pillow cases and silk hair turbans for sleeping in and to dry hair. Also tried rosemary oil - nothing has helped. You gave some great tips which I will try asap. I am going to have my scalp looked at tomorrow at Boots in the UK in the hope that I will be given some useful info as my GP was no help. I may have seborrheic dermatitis. Have been under immense stress for two years and suspect that has a lot to do with it too. Someone below asked you which unfragranced shampoo you use but I noticed there was no reply. That would be so helpful and especially to those of us in e.g. the UK if it is a brand available to all. Thanks for a fantastic video.
I find it fascinating that when she was talking about good sources of protein she only mentioned eggs as an animal protein and not actual meat 🤔 It’s my first time on this channel so perhaps she is a vegetarian 🥗 since she only included vegetables as protein…Anyway, great tips otherwise! 🙌
My hair has started thinning a lot..my lengths are also getting frizzier and dryer...my hair was not like this... it's used to be thick, soft...but since 1-2 years it has changed a lot... I've incorporated oil in my routine....but it's enhancing my hairfall....what should I do guys??🤧🥺..help me out guyss🤧💔
you should get blood work first to screen for any hormonal/vitamin deficiency ( I'm a endocrinology resident who's also struggling with hair issues 😬 ) if anything is abnormal you should get treated / supplement if not than try to change your hair routine avoiding anything that damages hair ( heat / bleach / dye/ humidity .... )
Most hair loss is hormonal. Women snd men end up with too much DHT on their scalp. That needs to be washed off. Really depends on how quick that builds up on your scalp
Diet is definitely important. I suggest everybody go watch Dr. Berg's latest video on hair loss. He dives somewhat deep about nutrients needed for hair and offers other tips as well.
for the brush i always did this, i saw girls going from the top but it must hurt and i saw all the hair going off (after natation, i did never brush my hair when wet, my hair are super long so i really take care of them)
5 yrs ago i used treatment cream on my scalp and put it for 20 min and then on my hair loss is crazy still.not recovering. Drandruff like thing is on my scalp all seasons even in summer . 😢😢i don't know what to do . Tried everything but none worked for me.
I have to wash daily. I work and my hair will get gross and i can't wear a hat to work. It baffles me those that can go more than two days without washing.
So you’re saying g/kg is the same measurement ? How much protein for someone like me who probably has early stage CKD and weighs 106 pounds ? Per day ? How do I know how much protein a chicken breast contains since they vary in size and most of us don’t carry around a food scale with us ?
@@SleeplessinOC one gram per kg body weight per day I'm not saying to measure but only approximately it should be You can find on Google about the common foods you eat.you don't have to measure🤗 It shouldn't be in excess keep it around one gram per kg body weight of yours If you have early CKD you should consult a doctor and ask about the exact dietary requirements .
It’s 1 gram for every pound, not kg. Source: dietitian. If you are 70 kgs, you need more or less 130-140 grams of protein. Looking after your muscle mass will not damage your kidneys.
Eu tenho uma história parecida, recomecei o projeto Rapunzel duas vezes, a segunda porque estava com queda capilar devido a anemia, foi muito difícil aceitar isso. Mas estou aqui a prosseguir forte, no quarto ano deste projeto.
Your scalp is sensitive. So it easy to have problem when you dont care for it. I think you should invest in light therapy hermet to stimulate hair growth and also care and soothing for scalp. You also should use oiling before shampoo and after shampoo use serum and oil.
SOMEBODY HELP ME!! I was on birth control for about 8 years, and towards the end I started noticing hair loss and thinning. I got off birth control (for my mental health as well) and its been almost a year since I've been off it, but its still thinning and im still losing hair! I've been taking vitamins and its been helping my nails grow strong, but I'm not sure about my hair. Anybody got any tips? I don't even use shampoo that has sulfate either 😢😢❤
The fact that nobody talks about hair growth recipes on Norlest is so insanee

Tiny bumps over the face could be a sign of damaged skin barrier, especially if exfoliating didn’t work. You should search for that and take a look, if you show the other signs of barrier problems. If yes, you should focus on hydration etc and not exfoliating 😊
GIRLLLL USE nizoral!! Its amazing for those bumps. Research about fungal acne
Over exfoliating could be the problem
Such an amazing Video! Thank you!❤
"Put a bag on it." 😂😂 Great video, I loved the advice and explanation as to why these things are beneficial. Thank you.
When does she say this?
Thank you so much for the tips💌i will try it🙌🏽🙌🏽
The ordinary multi peptide hair serum for hair density has helped a ton for me!!
Hey! Can you please tell me how much that serum cost you?
I also bought this one but gave it to my cousin as because whatever I put on my scalp like serum or oil I get migraine attack! 😢
But what if I stop after 3 months will the new hair fall out?
Great advice! Hair loss is a concern. I went to a dermatologist to get evaluated for hair loss.
I’ve been losing a ton of hair since I had Covid. It’s been depressing. My Seborrheic dermatitis got terrible after losing hair (maybe there was less hair to absorb the oil??) and ketoconazle shampoo provided instant relief for me. It’s only been a week since I started that shampoo so I hope it helps with my hair loss as my scalp is now less inflamed
hey what's the name of your shampoo ?
If I may ask, when did you have covid? I had it it Nov. 2020 and noticed my hair shedding a ton (especially in shower despite brushing before entering). After a while, I chocked it up to me being in my 30s, but I still think covid was a catalyst.
@@Arputatatattata it has no brand name, it’s a generic prescription shampoo from the Dr.
@@Arputatatattata I had Covid late august- early September, then the shedding started end of October
@@mmwoodcockart100% i.e. from Covid there videos all about it
I think this is auch a Good Video with great tips! Like a holy grail. It Makes me want to share with my best friends and gate keep from my enemies
Low vitamin D is huge hair loss too.
Just discovered your video and thank you for your helpful information! 💕
Low iron levels can cause hair loss and thinning also
Thank youu this is helpful as a uni student
Loved your tips and information. How long should we do the scalp pressure and neck messages for?
Good tips. Thanks 🙌
This video is so wholesome 🥰
Loved this! ❤
Is there a hairbrush you recommend to reduce breakage?
Good ideas, I got to try a lot of these
Try van elkan hair oil, shampoo and conditioner, natural no nastys doesn’t strip hair, I have so much less shedding, since I found this I don’t use anything else.
What do you think of essential oils such as rosemary??
This was so helpful!
I also use manukah every day 😊

Same!! My day feels incomplete without eggs lol. I really want to add egg to whatever I'm eating like if it tastes bland and all but my mom doesn't allow it 😭
Why do I lose so much more hair when I am massaging my hair? Love this video ❤❤
Yes me too. Love doing hair/head massages but it scares me when it feels and looks like half my hair is falling out. Even if the massage is doing good in the long run, it's sort of off putting seeing the amount of hair loss 😭
Your hair looks amazing. P.S. Hate celery as well.

Hijab supremacy lol
What about natural curly hair that you can’t really brush after it’s dried…, this is why we brush our curly hair while wet
Can you do a video on waxy hair, for example from Seborrheic dermatitis?
Super helpful tips! Thank you. Love all hair care videos!!
I got a really bad scalp sun burn in SF and have learned my lesson and try to wear hats or find ways to limit my scalp exposure to the sun 😢😂. It was so gross and flaky
Can you please link the research on Manuka honey ?🥰
Hi, I'm new to your channel...I've had problems 😔 with my hair for quite some time. Ques: how many times a week do you shampoo your hair and do you do any scalp oil treatments?
I literally apply sunscreen at my part for my scalp in the summer. Otherwise, it sun burns bad....
You should check your hormones with a functional medicine doctor and get some labs. They go way more in dept with testing.
Your hair burn and everything you explained happened to me too, it was a long time ago but still !!!!Thank you for the tips 💜💜💜
Great advise- thank you❤
Great video! Thank you! Could you do a video on first grey hair and how to revert and/or prevent increase? 🥰
Great tips! Thanks. 😊
I use umbrella in stead of cap. Asian wisdom does have its reason 😂
I recently had to cut my hair to my neck length cuz of hairfall😭😭
Such a useful little collection of tips!
Great video!
I've incorporated oil in my routine....but it's enhancing my hairfall....what should I do guys??🤧🥺..help me out guyss🤧💔
you should get blood work first to screen for any hormonal/vitamin deficiency ( I'm a endocrinology resident who's also struggling with hair issues 😬 ) if anything is abnormal you should get treated / supplement if not than try to change your hair routine avoiding anything that damages hair ( heat / bleach / dye/ humidity .... )
Is the background song in the beginning Frere Jacques the nursery rhyme?!
Do you have hair growth serum to recommend please?
amazing tips! thank you xoxo
Amazing video. Thank you
does regular raw honey work? i dont have manuka n its too expensive :(
Love the intro XD
❤maybe next paycheck I'll buy some shampoo and conditioner and sunscreen again, and body wash. 💖
Great video thanks ❤❤❤
Hi felicia what hair tool did you use to curl your hair? Love the way it looks in this video❤
I think she said she got a “digital perm” in the previous video 😊
for the brush i always did this, i saw girls going from the top but it must hurt and i saw all the hair going off (after natation, i did never brush my hair when wet, my hair are super long so i really take care of them)
Would these methods work for someone who has a problem with their thyroid or not?
I feel like going bald so that I can see my scalp
5 yrs ago i used treatment cream on my scalp and put it for 20 min and then on my hair loss is crazy still.not recovering. Drandruff like thing is on my scalp all seasons even in summer . 😢😢i don't know what to do . Tried everything but none worked for me.
Novosone lotion?
I have to wash daily. I work and my hair will get gross and i can't wear a hat to work. It baffles me those that can go more than two days without washing.
Can anyone tell me where is her black crop top and the pants are from
Have protein but only 1 g per kg body weight protein is needed per day .Excess can be taxing on the kidneys and affect kidney health.😊
So you’re saying g/kg is the same measurement ? How much protein for someone like me who probably has early stage CKD and weighs 106 pounds ? Per day ? How do I know how much protein a chicken breast contains since they vary in size and most of us don’t carry around a food scale with us ?
@@SleeplessinOC one gram per kg body weight per day
I'm not saying to measure but only approximately it should be
You can find on Google about the common foods you eat.you don't have to measure🤗
It shouldn't be in excess keep it around one gram per kg body weight of yours
If you have early CKD you should consult a doctor and ask about the exact dietary requirements .
@@SleeplessinOC in CKD low protein diet of 0.6-0.8 g per kg per day is required
You should consult a doctor for all the dietary requirements
It’s 1 gram for every pound, not kg. Source: dietitian. If you are 70 kgs, you need more or less 130-140 grams of protein. Looking after your muscle mass will not damage your kidneys.

I'm a doctor in India and it's g per kg body weight over here.
Eu tenho uma história parecida, recomecei o projeto Rapunzel duas vezes, a segunda porque estava com queda capilar devido a anemia, foi muito difícil aceitar isso. Mas estou aqui a prosseguir forte, no quarto ano deste projeto.
Thankssssssss🔥🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
