- I'm finally back with a video for Daphne games on the Miyoo Mini. It's not really what I wanted, but at least it works for some games! This isn't really a guide or tutorial, but does contain instructions.

Finally here's your Daphne video. Thanks a lot. Also for the countless hours you put into testing.
I collected roms from many different sources (including the one you recommend) and will start my testings with them soon. If I find something that goes further than what you figured out according to your gitlab page, I'll drop a comment here.

Your video really helped. I had to re-watch it because I rushed because of excitement but I got some of the games to work!
In "Space Ace" I discovered that by pushing "A", "B" or "R" while hearing the beeps immediately after inserting the 2 tokens to play (2 times "select" in the Miyoo), you can choose the difficulty, thus changing the game scenes. Button "R" = Hard = "Space Ace", "B" = Medium = "Captain", "A" = Easy = "Cadet".

Interesting format and emulation i wasn't aware of thanks. If you could do a guide on pc engine with respect to the cd and super cd differentials as watching videos on TH-cam there are tons of amazing games on this system particularly shooters

Oooh yeah I've already scripted a large portion of the X86K tutorial! Such an incredible system. Absolutely love that sound chip, and SpinDizzy II! Its one of the few systems with freely available BIOS and OS Images!

How about Mini Plus with Onion 4.2, i cant start any Laser Disc Game, needs Onion 4.2 new Framefiles ? Ive start DL1, there comes 2sec "Loading..." then comes a Black Screen for 2sec and then its jump back to the daphne Games menu.
Sorry, Daphne is a total nightmare overall and I haven't looked into it since making this video. I've heard mixed reports of different romsets working or not. My recommendation is to find the games on a different platform (like Sega CD) if possible.
Are there any significant files in the folders: framefile, pics, ram, roms, sound when copied from Daphene Emulator + American Laser Games to the SD card? Can those folders be created manually on the SD card without having to copy them? The zip file from that website is corrupted.
Every single file in those folders is essential. I just tried the archive and it works fine.
@@RetroBreezeYT Thanks for checking. I am able to open the zip file, but when I try to transfer those files out of the zip files is when windows tell me it’s corrupt. No luck with the Miyoo for me.
I got Dragons Lair and Space Ace to work on the Anbernic 280v. Cliff Hanger will launch, but displays a green screen instead of regular video.
Very good tutorial for an incredible cartoon/laser game (Don Bluth is a king in animation !) on a so good console ! ;)
But with your files, for me on myoo mini + (with Onion 4.23) the daphne icon is empty and i must navigate in folders to launch roms so i'd modify your "config.json" file like this :

Edit :
For me : Astron Belt, Badlands, Dragon's Lair, Galaxy Ranger, Road blaster and Space Ace are OK.
But Bega's Battle, Thayers's Quest and Us vs. Them can't launch at all.
And all others roms (like Cliff Hanger...) launch but select and start keys don't work sot it 's impossible to insert coins and play...
Dude if I could buy you a beer I would. Spent ages fiddling with this config file but yours made it all work!

Oh snap. I was able to get it to work on the RG 353P. I tested Cliffhanger, Dragon’s Lair, and Space Ace. Not sure how to choose from Ace, Captain, and Cadet yet.
Nice job getting it to work. I don't want to touch Daphne ever again after this to be honest!
Can you create a way to download psp on the miyoo mini I heard you can add it on there but there is no tutorial
There was once a ppsspp port made as a concept but there were no playable games. MM is simply not powerful enough to play PSP.
is the "ram" folder supposed to be empty?
On my Miyoo mini plus it doesn't show the Onion Installer app not even in the app section
It's now called the Package Manager!
Got it working but no controls. Not even DL or SA. One thing to check is your sound files. There's around 70 or so of them. I don't know if they come with the archive mentioned in the video. I tried so many different combinations that I may have deleted them. They are all most as hard to find as the roms but they should be on a archive site on your first Google search page if you search as the video instructs. Also and this may not matter but I added a / to the text file point to the frame file. So ./ace.daphne/ I don't think it matters but it's what I worked. Finally if your having issues take your sd card and put it in the pc and go to your Daphne folder and look for the .log file. That will show you what is going on. Mine said failed to load sound file. That's when I checked the sound folder and found it empty. As far as controls I can't get it working. I went into retroarch and messed around but got nowhere. One clue maybe the controller type. It's default is dingux game pad. I tried every option and got nothing. I'm wondering if there is a text file somewhere like with retropie although everything in retroarch is set correctly. Thanks for all your work its still cool you can get it them to launch. I'll keep looking into the controls.

I'd similarly gotten it working on my Anbernic RG351MP a couple years ago.
I sank many many quarters into this game in the early 1980, and while I appreciate the demo, something's not quite right. I'm wondering if someone knows something about the following:
The start of the game on both my RG351MP and my Miyoo Mini plus appear to be an abbreviated, rapid version of the game, that doesn't start always with crossing the drawbridge that the game ALWAYS started with back in 1983. (As seen in the first 20 seconds of this walkthrough video: th-cam.com/video/4abnaV1SM5U/w-d-xo.html )
Is this a configuration issue, or is this scene simply missing from the rom file? I *do* see the scenes inside the lair.m2v file, which is making me think there's a config issue of some kind.

make game to work better is to make each game run bat file for example run dragons lair
lair.daphne.bat dubble click on the bat file and the game are reddy to play
