Can anybody help me with key-remaps for DOS games on Miyoo Mini Onion OS - PureDosBOX core. (remapping x,y to keyboard keys, remapping the dpad to numpad keys, .... etc...)

@@RetroBreezeYT If You are willing to do a quick write-up, ill be grateful.
This is far from ideal but my current basic setup is:
1. Bring up RetroArch menu
2. Go to controls
3. Port 1 controls
4. Change device type to "mouse with left analog stick"
5. Map d-pad up to "Mouse Vertical -", d-pad left to "Mouse horizontal -" and the rest accordingly
6. Map the clicks
7. Save game overrides
That should at least get you started.

You are awesome fam you was a big help, through your tutorial video on how to install the Onion OS firmware I managed to set up my Miyoo mini with ease, Very well explained clear & concise. I love Neo bomberman so many dope games on NeoGeo, also I love the Breakers port for Neo-CD (fighting game) works perfectly on the Miyoo.
I put in a new speaker from a Xiaomi phone it's perfect, not too loud, too bassy or too over the top on the highs, nice balanced sound with good clarity.
I have the DMG grey colour but I put in my colourful buttons from my transparent black Miyoo to give it a unique look, I also changed the light grey colour D pad, function button, start & select buttons to the dark black ones from the black Miyoo, these ones are even darker than the black colour from the white model.

Thanks! Awesome video. I didn't know there was a difference between AES & Arcade mode. And the uni-bios has a built-in cheat database is really handy. I have always played Neogeo thru Mama2003Plus because the only way to cheat that I know is thru the Mame in-grame menu. I really appreciate you going into these details that pretty much no one else talks about.

Thanks, I was having issues to load the ROMS, but seems that copying the bios to the rom folder did the trick!
NeoGeo also has a highly-regarded golf game worth playing: Neo Turf Masters.
Yes it is so good! But for me, the Neo Geo Pocket Colour version is my favourite!

2:47 Button mapping can also be changed in retroarch settings, best layout (I'm guessing) would be A = Y, B = B, C = A and D = X (NeoGeo and Miyoo respectively). There's also LOT more settings you can change in retroach.

Hey RetroBreeze! Loving the content! My brother and I used to play PGA golf in 1990. I'm trying to get it up and running via the DOS emulator and I have run into a cursor problem... any chance you know how to map the cursor to the dpad It isn't required in game just in the menu screen. I've googled it a million times but can't find a solution anywhere?! Help! 😁🙏

New to retro gaming. I have the Miyoo Mini Plus with Onion v4. I followed your instructions and the games still wont load. My NeoGeo game folder says empty even after downloading games. Please help!

When I change to unibios, save core overrides and then restart content it says fatal error occured and closes the game no matter which game I try this with. Any ideas?
I am trying to get this to work on KoF 98 my favorite fighting game I want to practice on my mini but I am using the arcade version how do I switch it over? My retroarch settings seem different than yours. I am also on onionos newest update. I am having to go in and remap the controls every time too pretty frustrating any suggestions?
If you don't have the unibios option, you may need to find a new bios file.
For saving your control remapping, go to retro arch menu > controls > manage remap files > save [game, content directory, core] remap file. From now on your remap will save for whichever you chose (core for all games on the system).

I don't think so. I had a look on the github but it looks like the '95 bug was never fixed in fb alpha 2012 :(

When I start my “pulstar” game my Miyoo mini starts loading but after a while goes back to menu, the game doesn’t start. Do I have the wrong game file or what is wrong? Any idea?
Thanks for watching! Pulstar works perfectly for me. I'm guessing it's a bad ROM. Try deleting any saves and states you may have.

Yeah I will probably do an OpenBOR video pretty soon! Not sure about MUGEN but I will look into it!
it seems like you are using 64gb micro sdcard, is it enough or should i buy 128gb for miyoo mini?
If you want to focus on CD-based systems like PS1, Neo Geo CD, etc, then a larger card might be better. I personally enjoy a curated collection on the mini, so for me 64GB is more than enough.

That message indicates that no settings have been changed. What settings are you trying to change?

Powkiddy v90 can play some java but not very well. Your absolute best option EVER for java gaming is the Qin F21 Pro/Plus

The only problem I’ve had is the insane amount of time it takes to load metal slug 3.
Yeah unfortunately the load times leave much to be desired.
All neogeo games work except the metal slug games.

The roms unzipped turn into multiple media files
Abd the genesis games all have an audio lag with the default pico emulator, but I can't disable it or delete it so that the other emulator becomes the default one
