Nice, battery boxes are surprisingly expensive and you can get a cheap plastic toolbox for less than a tenner and pack that out with high density foam for a cheap option.

Hey mate, think I heard you say you use it for your outboard motor? What VariCore Capacity do you normally use when out trolling on the water?

I was using the 100ah cells. I actually have two video's on this on my channel. Range test and a general video. I am also about to do a marine lithium battery review from SOK. 206ah 12v IP rated battery which would be good in a small boat.

I have a Bison R-68 motor but only used it twice last year due to covid uncertainty and when my leadacid died after 30mins so it was a case of row, row, row your boat gently down the stream for an hour (river) back. I would love a LiFePO4 battery for this year and been looking on AliExpress. Pleased I found your channel.

How much do they cost?? Can you do anything with car/leisure batteries. Power wall maybe

@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris the set ups you've done what is the costs. Could you make a Power wall with a couple of car/leisure batteries and a solar panel.

@@md2320 the power wall I've not added up. I know the black case was £185, everything in. For a LiFePO4 battery is good. I would not use car batteries, this is because of the thickness of the lead plates, the cells sulfur up. There designed for fast high amps for engine cranking. Leisure batteries and deep cycle have thicker cells. They can be discharged deeper, but cannot push amps like a car battery. More on this if you google it. Lead batteries are large and heavy and energy density is not great like LiFePO4. Lead is old tech. Hence why I use these batteries in these builds.
