Does 3.65 volts mean 100% charge and 3.4 volts will charge the cell to 80%?
Or are 3.65, 3.5, or 3.4 volts the charging speed of the cell?

Brilliant videos. I've bookmarked and subscribed to your videos. You've got the clearest explanations about how to do things. I watched your video about adding a BMS to the batteries. I'm pretty confident I could do that first time now. What I don't understand is my BMS appears to have a C- wire too.. i'm in the process of creating a wiring diagram and now i'm stuck! I don't know if you have one of those kind, but it would be great to see a video of you setting up the batteries to charge AC > DC with a shunt! that would be ace.

Thanks for your kind words Andy, I am really trying to be clear as possible, getting to the point and not to woffle to much. I'm glad its coming across. My older videos I want to remake, as I feel I've found my grove and learned a lot in creating video's. On your BMS have you got 3 large cables? (Ignoring the balance cables) As I think I know what you have. In my video my BMS has 2

@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris Hi Chris. Apologies, I put the equipment down for a while. It was getting stressful. You certainly don't waffle too much. I have 3 large wires. C- B- P- . The added complexity is trying to work out which my shunt connects to. On my diagram, I have my shunt on my P- cable, which then goes to my load. My C- cable goes directly to a bus bar. But equally, it could go on the C- cable right?

Hello and thanks for watching, they can take 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered.. I know it seems a long time. But it soon goes. Same as all the big manufacturers, they can take a while for them too.

Absolutely love this. You’ve explained everything so well. Which BMS did you use? There are multiple available from that link. Thanks. Love the channel 😀

Thank you for the feedback. I try and be as clear and quick without woffling on as possible! Thank you for watching.

Very informative video, thanks. I'm in the process of upgrading Lifepo4 cells(24v) from 130ah to 305ah. My question is though, can I use both batteries in parallel? Obviously they have separate BMS's. Or not advisable?

It's not advisable.. but I know people that do it! I have a video on this.. I follow the two BMS's while discharging the two batteries. 100ah and 200ah. Video is called mixing capacities. I have been known to do this a little in the winter to help a smaller battery on solar. Lithium.. This is pulling small amps I may add. Running my IP security camera's.
