You should probably just do a possessed conversion for the rest of the cult legions.
Emperors children, world eaters and thousand sons.
In all fairness, I would just say to do possessed conversions for all legions in general. Make em all look unique!

@@Zekrom249 What would Iron Warriors ones look like? They're known for not being big into chaos, so maybe they could instead have some robot shit, maybe taking stuff from the Kataphron Battle Servitors.

Probably for the best, since the generic possessed are supposed to be Black Legion already and the Word Bearers have the Gal Vorbak from 30k. Beyond that the Iron Warriors, Alpha Legion, and Night Lords aren’t known for their vast hordes of possessed marines seeing as how the Iron Warriors only work with chaos begrudgingly, the Night Lords hate chaos, and the Alpha Legion... well we don’t know.
Nice, I would have added backpacks as well.
I did consider this but I didn't have any spare Plague Marine packs. I had the MK3 ones but they just didn't look quite the same as the Death Guard ones. Maybe for the next lot that I do!
@@PeteTheWargamer Try Devastator or Havoc backpacks' gives them a bit more added mass and room to add things like extra mutations, banners or stray Nurglings
Could also modify the MK3 backpacks with spare tanks, old pieces of exhausts, even any extra heads or limbs from your bitz box. I can imagine a possessed whose powerpack exhausts (the knobby things on the side; I have no idea what they're called) mutated into 2 more 'living' plaguebearer heads, or a pair of arms reaching over the plague marines shoulder with dirty, gore encrusted claws.
@@SH-qs7ee I was thinking the same with the exhausts, the spider legs would probably fit that spot quite well

Nice idea! Some Green Strands between the legs would look like tattered membranes.
@@PeteTheWargamer or some hot glue, i think Black Magic Craft showed this technique in on of his videos.
@@Mad.player I've used hot glue to make a fleshy texture on some of my scratchbuilt creatures.

A kitbash i think would be good is a mix of admech and imperial guard infantry, to make a more militaristic cyborg army

This is a good starting point. I wanted to add some possessed to my Death Guard and was going to use the Plaguebearer belly as a starting point with scraps of armour. The old large chaos backpack from early and mid 90s for that thick industrial look.
These are amazing, those sickly skin folds were great.
Have you thought about doing chaos spawn?
I did two Khorne styled Spawn for my World Eaters army adding helmets, weapons and other Worldeater bits. They looked awesome just like your possessed and it was an extremely fun conversion.

Alternately, you can cut the excess foam that shot out when you filled that gap in your wall, attach a suitable deathguardy head and paint in your army scheme.

I really love this idea. I’m in the middle of making a brotherhood of plague terminators using the dark angel terminator knights. You should does some Nurgle spawn or Alternative Nurgle beasts.

Thanks! The spider kit is great, the closest thing that GW does is the goblin one but those legs don't have the possibilities of the WGA kit

Hey Pete, how about a Soul Drinkers kitbash? Quite a big history and books based around them. Many mutated slightly after a corruption from a higher being they viewed somewhat as the Emperor. Chapter Master Sarpedon grew spider legs. One grew many eyes. Another grew a strong mutant arm. Another grew almost scythe like swords for arms. These are some of the mutations if I remember rightly. There were many more. Despite this they stood loyal to the Emperor, killing traitors on the way. Might be something interesting for you and a nice creative freedom

As a suggestion, you could try a skitarii conversion based around one of the forgeworlds maybe? It'd be interesting to see your take on Stygies VIII or Graia Skitarii and I dont think many folks consider how different forgeworlds would make said skitarii

This really solved a big issue for me. I hate the possessed models for DG. I have a PBK box and was going to use it to make terminator but it was entirely too much effort for me.
The only thing I would do myself is swap all of the fantasy boots out and add backpack as some others have already said.
I would very much like to see Deathguard Nurgle Chaos spawn from you. Too many folks really go out of their way to gross out the army but I appreciate you staying with the range.

eBay Miniature Rescues did some great conversions of Death Guard with Blightkings just recently. Worth checking out. I really like the bug legs. That's a cool addition.

The struggle of possessed nurgle is nurgle tends to already be mutated alot
I agree, the regular base Plague Marines are quite mutated which is what prompted me to go with the Blightkings.
I think that you should still paint up that first one you showed with the bug head, as it looks great. My own possessed are going to be a mixture of converted blightkings and plague marine models mixed with parts from the possessed kit.
Amazing! Now please do a possessed for every chaos god...or for every traitor legion.

A suggestion: Primaris Cypher. I would use the multi-part Bladeguard coming out combined with the official Cypher kit. Two pistols, Lion Sword, fancy cloak, the works.
Could be pretty fun!
Played a fun game yesterday, it was a 2 v 1, 1000pts death gaurd and 1000pts 1000 sons vs 2000pts new tau. 1000 sons teleported in and tied them up while term est moved up, took objectives, and killed everything in their path. Poxwalkers killed a unit of crisis suits and fire warriors, plague marines and blightlords killed the rest of the of the troops, and daemon prince and tallyman took down a riptide (tallyman delivered the fatal blow with his plasma pistol lol.) Only lost the poxwalkers, it was a redeeming game for me. So basically term est is great and I intend to run it more frequently and can't wait to pack possessed into the list. Rotwind from the plague caster, rotten constitution, and supporating plate made daemon prince into a brick wall and him using accelerated entropy was brutal. I was saving his -4ap shots on 2 :) highly recommended that combo.
My problem (Not really a "problem") is that the Death Guard models are so unique I feel its a same to convert the plague marines at all. Between Dark Imperium, the Plague Marine Box Set, The heroes series and the Easy Paint kit you easily have two full squads of unique models. What might be a fun challenge is to Convert a marine to Death Guard without using anything from the Death Guard kits.

Sorry to bother you, but I've been using your tutorials for Bolt Action and they've been excellent, thank you, but, I'm looking to expand into Black Seas and Black Powder, but nobody else has tutorials as good as you do, so I was wondering, would you consider doing a tutorial on Continental Army Infantry for the American War of Independence for Black Powder? And also a tutorial for Black Seas with US Navy brigs and/or Frigates? Using The Army Painter paints ofc. Just, I really need help in both these areas and your tutorials for Bolt Action have helped me so much I was wondering if you could help me with Black Powder and Black Seas too? Thanks so much ✌️

How would you convert up Mutilators?
Their models are sooooo old and hideous, the new start collecting chaos space marines brought the obliterators up to date, but mutilators have been left behind.
They are cheap deepstriking bruisers with a small footprint so great for just dropping onto an unguarded objective, or if you are night lords, landing in a ruin and charging someone with from the shadows.
Have you considered plastic vespids? Maybe make them look like they could actually fly

Why not try just taking normal possed but then adding in some plauge marine bits but I don't think unless u add wings they will always just look like deathagurd
