The Knights of Gold are so so good. Definitely one of the most entertaining homebrew chapters I've seen, especially their interactions with the Orks. I can almost imagine the Orks listening in to the ceremony and accolades, and picking which marines they want to scrap with when the battle starts.
The ork warboss points to the lieutenant like one would shop for a new set of towels. "I wan dat one." Multiple orks begin to whine and throw their arms up, having to settle for sergeants and the least boring Tacmarine squad members 😂
i was actually blown away that they were just made for this one of video because the concept and idea behind them is so good im almost tempted to make an army of them myself
@@TheLichsLaboratory Get some Mk6 horus heresy marines. Not only for bits for future kitbash. But you also mentioned something about their armor being ancient. Mayhaps assembling a kill team? Idk I'm rambling.
The amount of times I have come back to this video and had it get me reenergized to paint my DA army boarders on crazy. Honestly thank you for this video.
That means a ton, thank you! Being able to inspire people to work on their own stuff, whatever it may be, is one of the best things about making vids! 😁
i love when you make thesse kind of videos, when i am building or kitbashing models there are times i get stuck thinking how should i glue or cut a bit or what can go in a certain place, and it's in those moments that i focus on your conversions and how you make and explain the lore of why they look a certain way, nd it's like it fuels my thinking juicies and i can go on with my thing, you've helped me lots dude
The lab original chapters are all amazing and incredible examples of homebrew chapters and incredibly inspiring, the Vigilators and Nights of Gold probably being my favorite, but all of them are amazing. Your videos are awesome and have helped rekindle my passion for the hobby, so keep doing what your doing.
Dude, I had to subscribe. The amount of work you put into this video is commendable. Just a big WOW. I watched it in 2 parts wile walking my dog by the ocean here in Portugal were I live now. Great work man, I'm a fan.
Oh hey the Marines Exemplar, I remember hearing their chapter monastery was mentioned in Priests of Mars. So its cool to see you painting this really obscure Chapter from a book series I love. As well as the Night watch!!!!! I remember doing a drawing of one of their marines months ago.
@@TheLichsLaboratory You most certainly did, as well as the Crimson Scythes. Since you mentioned the Fall of Sotha, I read the book that battle was from and the way you wrote the story could easily fit in as a passing mention from the acting Chapter master of the Scythes of the Emperor; Mansirius Thracian, I guess these guys were lucky to not want to waste their time trying to reclaim Sotha, thanks to them cutting ties with them. So its really cool to see the Belisarius Cawl book also mentioned in this.
Would be funny to think that the knights of gold might be so exorbitantly rich that maybe they have tapped into a source of auramite (probably an alloy of some part ceramite, some strengthener, and gold, based on its name and the chemical symbol and prefix for gold being Au Auric) that would be bound for holy terra and the custodes if not for the exorbitant wealth of the noble families (perhaps even rogue trader dynasties?) bankrolling the chapter. Also would've been fun to add the planet being discovered by the space wolves during the great crusade, or something. Oh as for the somnus root you spoke of, that helps the vigilators sleep, I think you should look up the ghost plant, or indian pipe for inspiration of what that plant might look like. One of the rare parasitic plants that grows without sunlight at the forest floor. Also happens to be a great pain killer. Hopefully the opening of the great rift hasn't tainted their homeworld's soils...
excellent video, and well worth the wait! I had an idea for making csm more dynamic; you could use the khorne beserker bodies and shave off any god-specific paraphernalia.
You fool, you fell for my trap. You'll fall asleep on the second watch, then the third, then the forth, and so on. Stuck in an infinite watching loop, forced to listen to me waffle on for eternity 😈
You absolute legend 😁 3 hours of obscure lore: absolutely unbeatable and wickedly impressive. Will edit this comment once I’ve finished watching, but I’m sure this will be good. Amazing work mate, really well done.
Interesting thing about the Native American inspirations, there's some truly ancient fluff about the Dark Angels and one of their recruitment worlds called Plains World. The story is basically a myth about the founding of the Deathwing and why they wear bone white armor, as it honors an ancient tradition of Plains World. It's still technically canon in the sense that Plains World was just referenced in their latest Codex supplement, but the story itself is basically an universe legend they tell to new recruits into the Chapter. It's also why Deathwing usually have little feather totem bits on them. It's pretty neat, and I honestly want to try my hand at a homebrew DA successor with a Native American theme. Also gotta say as someone from the South I absolutely love that the Knights of Gold are literally just Mardi Gras Marines. Really creative color scheme and fluff.
Interesting! I never actually knew the bone white color had a significance. Learnin' something new every day 😅 And I'm glad you like them! The Knights were a pretty well-received chapter so I'm definitely looking to expand upon them a little more in the future
I must be the other guy in the world that painted a Night Watch marine (although mine is in Deathwatch) and he happens to also be an infiltrator with the communication array. So either's its a chapter specialty or yout guy ended up in Deathwatch service. ^^ Great job with you videos by the way ! I love your approach of the hobby ! :)
Thank you for making them! I'm happy to give some credit in the pinned comment 😁 If you have any kind of social media or handle to plug, I'd be glad to add it there as well for more visibility. Just let me know!
@@TheLichsLaboratory Not really. Made them on /tg/ a long long time ago. Got a pile of these. Space Marines and primarch generators are ones that crop up most often, there's one to also simulate abhumans, a fallen chapter and and Imperial Guard
i've been struggling for a long time about coming up for a backstory for the Sisters of Chaos (battle) army im working on, and after watching this i have come to the conclusion that they turned heretic after being forced to fight a massive battle against demons alone while the Knights of Gold stood on a hill for a full day reading off their own accolades. which is a long way of saying that the Knights of Gold are so dumb and are probably the most fun & my favourite space marine chapter i've ever seen, i love them.
A couple questions for you, boss… which legion was your favorite to build? (model wise.) and also which Legion was your favorite color scheme? Do you have me really wanting to an army of tomahawks bro! That was my favorite legion that you did in this video. 🎉
Thank you chief! I'm glad you liked the minis! Personally I liked making the Iron Talon marine and painting the Viper Legion was pretty fun! I'm hoping to do a Kill Team project for each of the original chapters one day but I've got a few projects I need to knock out first before I go down that rabbit hole 😅
@@TheLichsLaboratory Awesome! I can’t wait! You’re my favorite custom mini channel by far. I love imagining new chapters, learning through your lore research, etc! Can’t wait to submit my “your dudes” chapters! 💪🏼
I 100% believe you bro, but I'm telling you I'm a new breed of idiot. When audiobooks turn on my brain smooths overs and I completely tune out. I've been meaning to listen to some Conan the Barbarian audiobooks but I can't even get through one 😭
1:42:30 There's actually another Penance in Marvel, in the X-Men's circles. She's dark red, mute and spiky, and her form was originally a kind of prison for Monet St Croix (M), and then her younger twin sisters (who'd combined to take _her_ form while she was missing) swapped places with her. It's all very convoluted, and has probably become even moreso since those bits happened over 20 years ago. 😜 1:47:00 I don't know if you've tried it, but superglue and baking soda make for a fantastic filler (among other uses)... 1:51:00 I do like the brown, but maybe a dark bronze might work too..? Something like old-school Tin Bitz. 2:18:00 For a second, I swore you'd painted him with a load of cannabis leaves... 2:20:40 He _does_ look really cool... I bet it'd be "fun" to paint an army of 'em... 😜 2:21:30 That... actually sounds a lot like my homebrew chapter, the Shadow Serpents... 😂 Dark blue with green trim, stealth specialists, jungle deathworld home planet, kill a giant snake as their final initiation (there are plenty of sneks to go round; it ain't a deathworld for nothin'). The main difference is ma lads have a bad habit carried over from their native culture where some of them inject themselves with small amounts of shadow serpent venom, and it gives them these frothing-loony religious visions... these lads tend to be drafted into assault squads for some reason, and dropped into the middle of enemy ranks. 😏 2:46:20 I am _loving_ this Tomahawk design. My only suggestion would be to push the breechcloth a little darker and maybe a touch more saturated (old Snakebite Leather kinda thing) to contrast more with the armour; I feel like the final wash ties the colours together a bit _too_ much... 3:02:20 Have they considered ways of mass-farming the somnus? (I know they prabably haven't because you made 'em up out of whole cloth, but you know what I mean... 😜) 3:03:15 I feel that; those old open-grip arms were great. As well as not having to have moulded hands on your guns, it meant you could paint the model with the arms glued on, then just drop the gun in place at the end. I liked that aspect of the old Catachans for the same reason, and it annoyed me that when they _finally_ brought out the Cadian set, they weren't designed to be easily interchangeable.
The sheer audacity of this proposal wraps around to being incomprehensibly hilarious to me 🤔 Soon people will be saying "Oh my God another FUCKING Subjugator??? That's like his 9th one" 😂
its crazy that primaris models look sooo much better without those knee guard lips and different helmet . the primaris helmet dosent work at all . literally any other helmet looks so much better
Funnily enough my main problem with the Primaris armor is those big bulbs on the side of the ankles. The helmet is pretty okay to me (the new BT models and Bladeguard helmets are way better though) and the knee guards can at least be cut off easily enough. But man, those bulb things are just too much trouble to remove smoothly. The knee guard are just like, snip snip sand sand Bob's your uncle at least
I don't know if it's just a me problem, but while I love your videos the audio always seems so quiet, to the point that after watching a video of yours I have to remember to put the volume down A LOT when putting on something else, or risk permanent ear-damage. Just some constructive criticism. Again, love the videos, keep em up!
Thank you very much! And yeah, my audio is a little on the low end. I've been slowly experimenting with some volume levels but I may have to probe the waters for some more feedback from the general audience again. Last time I did was a few months ago, maybe a year.
It's a separate container from HobbyLobby. I bought a tube of separated green stuff sticks and crammed them into this little container. Helps me keep the components separately and is a bit easier to store on my desk
Thank you! And I definitely do need a sub. I'll take a footlong Italian herb and cheese with steak and cheese. Toast it and throw on bell peppers, banana peppers, and some of that Baja Chipotle if you would be so kind 😁 ...this stupid joke has made me hungry 😓
@@TheLichsLaboratory you had to create lore for what, 7 chapters? 8? Then their color schemes, loadouts, and poses. That stuff takes time man, of course we're fine waiting for cool videos like this. I only hope that you'll give some love to the alpha legion soon, since they have a bunch of warbands in Harrowmaster that seem like they'd be fun to paint, from the actual, no memes, truly loyalist 'Penitent Sons' to the full-blown Khornate 'First Strike'.
little push up note on the deathwatch: they will literally take a chump from a squad and return him to just be a chump in that squad- this has been canonically done during the era of "blood angels vs tyranids" and the siege of bahl, there is a story of a normal marine being taken from his squad to face the black rage alone, and being returned to his squad as an outsider, he wasnt even returned to said squad as a sergeant, veteran, or an ancient, and even if he was he still took the role of a normal ass chump- so your conversion works perfectly for anyone (:
Damn, imagine being a Kill Team veteran and being returned to your chapter to just be a Tac squad chump again 😮💨 But that's great to know man, thank you! 😁
@@TheLichsLaboratory Pretty sure that's what happens to most of them, of course given their added experience and prowess they likely find a promotion pretty quickly and given they were picked for the deathwatch initially someone probably had an eye on them for something at some point anyway.
Praying to Khorne that you cover The Cholercaust Blood Crusade eventually, "The Pilgrim" is one of the most badass names for a Khorne demon prince leading a horde of berserkers I've ever heard. Also "The Cleaved" are neat, possibly khorne worshipping plague marines who appear from pools of black ooze in an almost demonic fashion.
During my research I found out how big the Cholercaust Blood Crusade really was and it really got the creative juices flowing. I've definitely got my eye on it now 👀
'please dont watch this all in one sitting' dawg i've a free day and the dark angles combat patrol (+asmodai) to get throught this WILL be one sitting 4 hours, and one glue induced headache later, man this was awesome to watch in a semi-one sitting! might honestly come back to watch this video multiple times as its just a bunch of fun things to hear about while making warhammer! (unfortunately only got one gravis captain and a blade guard done, but hey at least i have a chapter master now!)
Thanks for watching man! Glad I could be your ambience of choice 😁 Glad to hear the Dark Angels are coming along nicely as well. Slow and steady wins the race 😎👍
Dang, this scythe hate is wild. Yeah they may be impractical, but they’re pretty cool looking. Maybe I’m just saying that as a death guard player. Awesome conversions and paint jobs all around, never thought I’d see the day of a 3 hour long “ Lich’s laboratory video but here we are!
Hey man, it's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it. Can't have you scythe likers thinking you have good taste yknow 😏 Nah for real bro, I'm glad you liked the vid! I always appreciate your support here on the channel and I hope you've been well 😁
This makes me unreasonably happy. I had a Knights Unyielding army as a kid, with loads of homebrew lore of questionable quality that I wrote for them. Seeing them mentioned in a video like this brought me back to being 13 again.
1. "I'm bad at weathering" and then does the best weathering ever, again, TWICE. 2. Every single one of the homebrew chapters is AMAZING. I can't decide my favorite between Tomahawks, Knights of Gold or the Vigilators. Hell, giving the Iron Guard the shield is something I love too, not to mention Khimaera Legion's name being far more literal than I expected!
Dude, the fact that you don’t have more views is criminal! Your explorations of the lore is great, your work is explained well and the final results always look cool
Thank you for the kindness friend 🥰 Hopefully the algorithm is kind to me but at the very least, I'm glad to be able to entertain the folks I've got here so far 😁
2:51:06 🤜🤛 You're welcome! Also great video, Knights of Gold are definietly my favourite in terms of lore and paint scheme, with Viper Legion in close second in terms of their funky colors.
For the Tomahawks Chapter, you could also look into Puppetswar Native American heads and scale them up to Primaris size to 3d print. Could help complete the motif.
2:04:00 For the Knights Unyielding, I think I'm actually gonna use them for my custom Death Guard loyalists. The name, lore, and (scant) official design just fits perfect. On my end, they'd have bright green armor, bone-tan pauldrons/robes, and brown panel wash. Further customizations include dark red armor trim (3rd company) and dark blue basing.
Sons of malice are still canon. they are referenced during the the current fall of cadia story AND the battle fleat gothic game. they are still relevant. looks good btw and will diffently use something similar when I do mine
"Disclaimer: Don't Watch in one sitting" My fellow painter, you highly underestimate how thoroughly entertaining your content is, as well as informative in the ways of chapter building. I am very much in need of such a delightful evening of education as I am just getting back to 40k after a long break, and putting together a chapter of marines myself based on the legion of the damned. So yes, this video is my entire evening, and there is nothing you can do to stop me! * Throws head back and cackles like an insomniac musketeer while twirling curly mustache *
I will be honest here, new watcher, but I can already tell i'm going to be watching a good number of your videos. I would love to see a series from you where you tackle wacky and fun non-cannon stuff in 40k. Such as creating like... 5 - 10 conversions, paint schemes, and mini-lore blurbs for space skaven, or something else silly. Maybe tackle some Dornian/Roubouteian/Lion heresy for fun? The more the merrier, and it could give you a welcome break from trying to figure out obscure marine chapters/warbands. : P
Hello friend! Welcome to the channel. 😁 I've had a few people ask for Dornian Heresy and some groups even contacted me about some offshoot Heresy content but I'm trying to stick to a rough schedule for the next few months. It's been a while since I've done something video game related which are normally my palette cleansers but those vids usually aren't very popular and I was focused on getting to 10k subs for the milestone events we had planned. I do hope to do something non-40k soon just to have a break but the YOUR DUDES 2 event I'm currently doing is a nice change of pace at least
They look great. Really like the knights of gold. Something about the Orks watching them while they announce all their achievements is just so entertaining to me. The knights get to be regal and the orks get hype for the fight. It's almost charming in a way.
@@TheLichsLaboratory Watching this again because why not. Had a thought: The Knights Unyielding being loyalist Emperor's Children that were allowed to live to help bolster the wrecked numbers of Astartes after the heresy and, because they're Emperor's Children, they worked so hard to get the funk of daddy Fulgrim off of them that some higher up in the imperium made the files regarding their true lineage just kinda....go away. Thing is their geneflaw or whatever that makes EC's strive for perfection was what helped them get they redemption on, but now they're starting to slip into the old "yeah we're too good for this" mentality and might need a reminder of what that lead to last time they and their siblings started thinking that. Sorry for this ramble, had the idea and needed to commit it to memory/paper and this seemed like as good a place as any.
I do sort of feel like you layed it on a bit too thick with the weathering on the Excoriator. It looks less like his armor is damaged and more like he got it repainted while mud was still stuck to it. Otherwise great conversions though.

Viper Legion might have been gorgeous with gold and jade... But very NOT stealthy. Knights of Gold seem to be primed to fall to Slaanesh. Also Guilliman meeting the Knights of Gold...
Gold and jade sounds pretty sexy in general. And yeah, the Knights of Gold are pretty well positioned to either fall into Chaos or give Guilliman a heart attack 😂
What a titanic work! It seems many liked Knights of Gold, and 40k Bretonnians are a cool idea, but Vigilators honestly feel very true to the spirit of pre-Indomitus 40k where every loyalist piece of lore promised something to explode, like, tomorrow and was really trying to be as grimdark as possible. Fire 🔥🔥
This video inspired me to get back to work on my ridiculous dream of building an entire army of 1/18 scale primaris marine action figures customized and painted in Relictors colors. That deserves a sub if nothing else.
Now Im just imagining this video killing people from being so long. Then people are gonna say it's cursed like The Ring or some shit 😂 If the video kills you please haunt this url, Im begging you 🙏
If you ever end up revisiting the Knights of Gold for a lieutenant or something I’d love to see you incorporate the helmet from Calgar’s Honor Guard. It has that perfect mix of ornate and menacing and I feel like it’s a super underrated part.
2:05:25 Aluminium is correctly pronounced the British way, note the 'i' in the 'ium' that changes the pronunciation to Ah lou min ee um, as opposed to Ah loo minum which would be for the word Aluminum.
Apparently aluminum is just a US thing whereas the rest of the world says aluminium. I'm normally all for global conformity here but I absolutely love taking oddly patriotic stances on minor issues that don't matter at all so This is British propaganda, you won't TRICK me with your LIES USA USA USA USA
@TheLichsLaboratory It's not the regional variation that bothers me, it's the inconsistency. Why only "aluminum"? What about "helum", "uranum" or any of the other elements?!
1:07:11 Nah, some Sons of Ferrus are just like that. There was that one rogue Iron Hand group who raided a friendly Astartes vessel just to rip someone out of their Dreadnought and throw their own guy in. Or that time when the Sons of Medusa showed up to the Badab War and the first thing they did was join a planetary invasion unannounced and sent the majority of their forces to the capital where they ransacked the place for anything valuable for like a month. Blood Ravens steal without being seen like cat burglars, Ferrus’ kids steal like a SWAT force busting down the door with a search and seizure warrant they wrote themselves
FOOL. I watch stuff like this for my hours long painting sessions, so I don't have to stop to swap videos in the background. Watched in one session. Also going to be that guy, but for the Excoriators and battle damaged marine armour in general... mk x armour isnt made of metal (most power armour isnt, outside of some of the patchwork parts used in mk 5 and 6) its made of a ceramic based alloy that is a flat grey in colour. I know, i know, rule of cool blah blah. And exposed grey could look like exposed plastic, but lorewise it would be the correct colour for damaged armour plates
That was the idea! One big vid to drone on in the background while you do your own hobbying 😁 And that's good to know! Now my Excoriator weathering is even worse in retrospect! 😅 Ah well, they can't all be bangers lmao
@TheLichsLaboratory its a weirdly obscured detail that isnt brought up much. Btw, I loved the finished product of Viper legion and Ironguard. Those two may be my favourites of the video. Cheers!
@@UnkleKlumsy1353 Probably just easier to imagine it as metal because it makes sense for "giant hulking space man" yknow? Plus silver may just be easier to see as battle damage on the table. And thank you!
Hey man just wanted to say i absolutely love the second born sons. Honesty i wasn't sure about them at the beginning but the more lore i heard (especially the orks listening to the battle honor before the fight begins) and the paint scheme looks amazing. Would love to see a killteam of these lads. 👑
Looking forward to seeing how this comes out when I have the time to watch this monstor of a video! Tho once again, I do thing the channel would do alot better in the algorythem (with more regular videos) and serch results (for kitbasing individual chapters) if these where cut down into multiple videos or parts ;w;
I definitely could've milked the system by doing a video per chapter but the audience majority as well as myself preferred having it all in one spot. I have cut out sections of these videos and reuploaded them as Shorts which do have a pretty good rate of bringing new eyes to the channel, but I like making content I'd personally watch and having them all in one video just makes for easier watching for folks who are usually painting or sculpting while watching. It's definitely food for thought though, there's always room for improvement
@@TheLichsLaboratory I'd say a few per shorter video, so 10-15 mins each?. Can have all the chapters in the video title and serge suggestions. Thinking more if you searched "how to convert X chapter", I'm not to sure this video would come up or be easily findable is all ;w; Shorts works, tho the limits on their length kind of has the opposite problem And then you have the longer video when the series is finished for people who want the longform stuff :) Will watch either myself ofcourse
@@AshleyBlackwater I've chopped up older videos into shorts in the past just as you described to funnel Shorts viewers into the main videos. It has made a noticeable effect on traffic but I probably will experiment with shorter videos sometime soon. It's a little easier on the workload and minimizes downtime so there definitely is merit there
hey man, I really love these vids, and I would love for you to cover other factions like eldar, citys of sigmar, stormcast woth your apporache, you manage to find obsucre subfactions and it's cool
Thank you very much friend! I don't reslly have any plans for AoS or WHFB but I'm not against it. I've just got a lot of 40k to catch up on and I'm like 2 years late on Mordheim content too 😅 Coupled with some other systems and my video game inspired stuff, I've a little stuffed! I am keeping my eye on the incoming edition of AoS though so maybe something will pop up
I got a radnom recommendation for your video and just clicked and started on a project. I was mildly surprised when you said "dont watch it in one sitting, please", looked at the length and went "well then, lets get going" :D
I absolutely love the idea of the Vigilators. When I eventually started making imperium space marines I thought I'd go with the Carcharodons, but now I'm not so sure lol. I think I'd probably change up the color scheme though. Not that there's anything wrong with yours,, I just don't think I'd personally like them being mainly purple.

Oh hey the Marines Exemplar, I remember hearing their chapter monastery was mentioned in Priests of Mars. So its cool to see you painting this really obscure Chapter from a book series I love. As well as the Night watch!!!!! I remember doing a drawing of one of their marines months ago.
I hope I did them justice in your eyes 😁
@@TheLichsLaboratory You most certainly did, as well as the Crimson Scythes. Since you mentioned the Fall of Sotha, I read the book that battle was from and the way you wrote the story could easily fit in as a passing mention from the acting Chapter master of the Scythes of the Emperor; Mansirius Thracian, I guess these guys were lucky to not want to waste their time trying to reclaim Sotha, thanks to them cutting ties with them. So its really cool to see the Belisarius Cawl book also mentioned in this.

Thanks! I hope I did them justice 😅
Never heard of you before, but this was right up my alley! Subscribed.
It's funny you say that since as part of the extended lore, I did have them involved with auramite in some way lol. Great minds think alike 😁
excellent video, and well worth the wait! I had an idea for making csm more dynamic; you could use the khorne beserker bodies and shave off any god-specific paraphernalia.
I had actually planned to pick up a box of them for the next Brother's Paradox project, although I don't know what I'd use them for. Chosen maybe? 🤔

Yooo that Viper is sick, kinda like Salamanders: Jungle book edition. Nothing wrong with taking potshots at minotaurs.
Maybe Sergeant Augustine was trying to tell us something 😏
Learnin' something new every day 😅
And I'm glad you like them!

i've been struggling for a long time about coming up for a backstory for the Sisters of Chaos (battle) army im working on, and after watching this i have come to the conclusion that they turned heretic after being forced to fight a massive battle against demons alone while the Knights of Gold stood on a hill for a full day reading off their own accolades.
which is a long way of saying that the Knights of Gold are so dumb and are probably the most fun & my favourite space marine chapter i've ever seen, i love them.

1:47:00 I don't know if you've tried it, but superglue and baking soda make for a fantastic filler (among other uses)...
2:21:30 That... actually sounds a lot like my homebrew chapter, the Shadow Serpents... 😏
2:46:20 I am _loving_ this Tomahawk design.
3:03:15 I feel that; those old open-grip arms were great. As well as not having to have moulded hands on your guns, it meant you could paint the model with the arms glued on, then just drop the gun in place at the end. I liked that aspect of the old Catachans for the same reason, and it annoyed me that when they _finally_ brought out the Cadian set, they weren't designed to be easily interchangeable.
would you consider painting up a Celebrant, they really don't have much lore but they have a really cool paint scheme

its crazy that primaris models look sooo much better without those knee guard lips and different helmet . the primaris helmet dosent work at all . literally any other helmet looks so much better
The knee guard are just like, snip snip sand sand Bob's your uncle at least

little push up note on the deathwatch:
they will literally take a chump from a squad and return him to just be a chump in that squad- this has been canonically done during the era of "blood angels vs tyranids" and the siege of bahl, there is a story of a normal marine being taken from his squad to face the black rage alone, and being returned to his squad as an outsider, he wasnt even returned to said squad as a sergeant, veteran, or an ancient, and even if he was he still took the role of a normal ass chump- so your conversion works perfectly for anyone (:
Damn, imagine being a Kill Team veteran and being returned to your chapter to just be a Tac squad chump again 😮💨
But that's great to know man, thank you! 😁
@@TheLichsLaboratory Pretty sure that's what happens to most of them, of course given their added experience and prowess they likely find a promotion pretty quickly and given they were picked for the deathwatch initially someone probably had an eye on them for something at some point anyway.

All the crowed felt was a burst of heat like the hot sun when driving through the desert of Tyrol Prime! as the indoor was brighter than outsides sun behind black smoke for one second.
Great video! You should absoulutly try out the Joytoy Action Figures line.
Thank you! I've been eyeing them for a kittbash but it's hard to justify buying two or three to chop up for a single project 😓
@@TheLichsLaboratory Preferably both. :)
Fire 🔥🔥
Thank you! I'm a big fan of "Yeah, we're totally fucked big time m8" chapters as well 😁
This video inspired me to get back to work on my ridiculous dream of building an entire army of 1/18 scale primaris marine action figures customized and painted in Relictors colors. That deserves a sub if nothing else.
Thank you boss! And good luck on that endeavor 😅
Tells us to not watch the whole video in one sitting. To that I say. No. I think I will watch it on one sitting.
Now Im just imagining this video killing people from being so long. Then people are gonna say it's cursed like The Ring or some shit 😂
If the video kills you please haunt this url, Im begging you 🙏
Im watching it in one sitting. You cant stop me. Its background noise for work LMAO
RIP 🙏
I wasnt kidding LMAO
If you ever end up revisiting the Knights of Gold for a lieutenant or something I’d love to see you incorporate the helmet from Calgar’s Honor Guard. It has that perfect mix of ornate and menacing and I feel like it’s a super underrated part.
I LOVE THAT STUPID FUCKING HELMET SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
@@TheLichsLaboratory see what I’m talking about? It would be perfect for a Knights of Gold Lieutenant or Captain.
I am a fan of the angels eradicant The iron talons the marines Exemplars the subjugators and i like the heraldry of those chapters
I love the Iron Talons after this project! 😁
i'm sorry wtf. what have we done do deserve a 3-hour lich video? i had plans this evening............
Change of plans 😈
thanks for the Sons of Malice love, just got major inspiration to paint them
Go forth and make Malal proud! 😎
I'm normally all for global conformity here but I absolutely love taking oddly patriotic stances on minor issues that don't matter at all so
This is British propaganda, you won't TRICK me with your LIES
USA USA USA USA
One big vid to drone on in the background while you do your own hobbying 😁
And that's good to know! Now my Excoriator weathering is even worse in retrospect! 😅
Ah well, they can't all be bangers lmao
Hey thanks! I'm glad you like them. I'd love to expand all of my original chapters into Kill Teams one day, just gotta find the time lol
“Don’t watch it in one sitting”
Yeah sure bud, a 3 hour kitbash long cut, I’m gonna watch all day at work.
You also got a new subscriber.
Thank you for the sub, now-recently-dead-by-longass-videos-man 🙏
Looking forward to seeing how this comes out when I have the time to watch this monstor of a video!
Tho once again, I do thing the channel would do alot better in the algorythem (with more regular videos) and serch results (for kitbasing individual chapters) if these where cut down into multiple videos or parts ;w;
Thinking more if you searched "how to convert X chapter", I'm not to sure this video would come up or be easily findable is all ;w;
Shorts works, tho the limits on their length kind of has the opposite problem
And then you have the longer video when the series is finished for people who want the longform stuff :)
Will watch either myself ofcourse
I am keeping my eye on the incoming edition of AoS though so maybe something will pop up
@@TheLichsLaboratory yea man no worries, all your vids are fun to watch so keep up with your work, it really is a breath of fresh air
@@typhon1640 Thank you chief! Glad to have you here 😁
Barely 8 minutes in and already subbed I can tell this is gonna be a banger
Thank you friend! Glad to have you on board 😎
I got a radnom recommendation for your video and just clicked and started on a project. I was mildly surprised when you said "dont watch it in one sitting, please", looked at the length and went "well then, lets get going" :D
I tried to tell people not to but people seemed insistent on doing the opposite lmao
I had to struggle tooth and nail to not paint the fucking armor black so I feel you😅
@TheLichsLaboratory I could never paint black armor, I'd just simply die. No idea what color I'd go with that isn't purple though.
@@chaoticrevenge7950Maybe navy as a primary color? Blue is a sleepy color and making it darker could kind of imply their doomed nature
@TheLichsLaboratory yeah something like that could definitely work. I kinda want orange space marines but that wouldn't really fit the theme imo
The casual hint that this man has actually played Car Lesbians.
I'm built different bro 😎
