i showed my dad the final model, and without him seeing anything but the fully painted colossus, he was able to name every kit that you bought and used.

Crazy idea for you. Combine a Mega-Gargant and a Chaos Knight to make some sort of chaos ab-human knight for 40k. Have cannons strapped under his arms, a massive chainsword or power fist. A big steampunky backpack to power everything with extra weapons stuck on. Armour plates strapped to his limbs and a knight type helmet. Cables weaving in and out of its skin! Just an idea!
Thats not really the exact cost though. There is a large amount of spare parts left over to either keep or sell. So on the surface it looks expensive, but you can recover a fair bit of it. Ironically it is also still cheaper than a mega gargant to build.

As someone else mentioned, it also involved green stuff made by mixing the blue and yellow halves and leaving the middle part alone to avoid a gritty texture 😉
I would love to see Tomb Kings constructs being converted, there are some many you can choose from Tomb Scorpion, Bone Giants, Ushabtis, Hierotitan, Necrosphinx etc!

I think it was the scale of it that overwhelmed me. I've never converted anything so big and as extensively. But, I too am glad that I finished it off!

Depth Guard are one of my favorite units aesthetically in TW:W and I'd love to see them on the tabletop. Beyond that seeing you tackle creating some Legendary Lords would be really cool, Like Malekith, Allarielle, and Imrik.

The painting is jaw dropping and so is all the kitbashing, I’d have angled the shoulders just a little bit that’s literally the only critique I can think of

Just one point of well-intended criticism/idea: You could've angled the bell on the mast a bit in order to create an illusion of it swinging back and forth while the colossus takes its rather clumsy steps. Would make it more dynamic and give it a real "ship in a storm"-y feel

I'd argue that this is a better model than the one in game. The deck is really cool, and I figure some pirates could use it as a platform to shoot from.
Another totally unique moment in model making by the master of scalping drilling gluing and painting thanks to games workshop your imagination in creating the finished piece of eye candy ! What ever you make I hope you carry on for the foreseeable future making original creatures including space marines Orks TAU and how about a true scale space marine imperial guard diorama called in the trenches!

That's a lot of work for something you can't even use on the tabletop....and I am 100% here for it. You did an amazing job on the conversion.
I kept things in scale with the mega gargant to use it as a proxy. I think most people would be happy to accept that rule set for it.
This model basically IS dead bits + pinned parts. Truly a peak of Pete the Wargamer's conversions.

I would agree, if I'd have tackled it again I would have put the arms at a slight outward taper, away from the shoulders.
