Ordered a '22 Ranger Tremor! I have a '19 Ranger XLT FX4. Been a phenomenal truck but need more off rding capability. Anyone says the gen2 2.3L Ecoboost needs more power hasn't driven this truck! It rips! Smoooth power thru powerband w/10spd making use of every HP. Build quality is top notch. The truck feels like it will last a long time esp w/good basic maintenance. F150 stout. I initially traded a '16 Taco TRD on my '19 Ranger. No goin bk . Ford is king of trucks for a reason!

That was a most excellent and detailed review which helped me decide to purchase that same vehicle in cactus grey and I love it. I agree with pretty much everything you said but I am curious about the technology score. This is by far the most advanced truck I've ever owned and now I'm wondering what is it missing lol. There is some irony in my purchase though...waited until I was in my fifties before purchasing the 4x4 my younger self always lusted for but couldn't justify owning in Los Angeles. Now I finally have it and nowhere on the vehicle does it say 4x4!! A guy at a gas station was admiring it and when I said it was four wheel drive I swear he glanced at the Tremor logo and replied "Oh it is?"

I ordered one myself 42.5k out the door. I didn't get the number pad on the door it looks tacky plus you can just use the Ford pass app. I can't wait to get it. Latest it will be delivered is August though

Torque climbs from 310 pound-feet to 370. What's more, the usable power is moved lower in the rpm range, with the EcoBoost's power peak arriving 1000 rpm sooner and its torque peak 500 rpm lower. You will need to use premium fuel, 91 octane or higher, to unlock that extra boost. NOTE that all turbocharged engines should use premium. This is a nice lil rig.

The best Ford Ranger I seen, it has similarity with those Pick ups made in Asia, like Toyotas Hilux, Mutsibishi L200 sportero, I just wish Ford Ranger options like Disiel, 4x4 and manual transmission.
Thank you for this well done review. I think some of the ratings were overly generous. I'lll explain. Please remember that what I am about to say is my opinion based on my desires for what I want in a pick-up. I own a 2019 Ranger Lariat FX 4 and I like this truck. And this is very disappointing to me because I would simply love this truck had Ford paid as much attention to comfort as they did to performance. That may reflect Fords marketing target. However when the price of a midsize truck starts approaching $50,000. one expects more comfort options. The Lariat trim on my 2019 is where I take issue with giving this truck high ratings in certain areas. The storage available in the truck is not up with competition, or my desires. A split folding rear seat gives so much more flexibility and the bed with its flopping tail gate also has missing power outlets, and storage compartments. Ford also seems to think that a warm butt is more important than warm hands. Old arthritic hands like a heated steering wheel. I am pleased that Ford upgraded the power seats, however still missing is the memory seat function. There is one thing that really really annoys me about what Ford left out, the rear window is not powered. If you are alone in the truck it is useless. I have had trucks with a power rear slider and they help with a quiet supply of cool fresh air. All things considered I still bought the truck and I still like it. Ford has a real winner in the Ranger, I'd go as far to say that this is a unique vehicle. Why settle for a triple when you can have a home run? I wonder is it because of competition with Fords other products? Thanks again.
Ford is king of trucks an the Ranger is best on class! I have a '19 an its been bulletproof. These T6 frame trucks are well built an stronger than all other midsize trucks.
Wish they would've painted the hooks red to match the grill. Or even matched the emblems with some red details in it. I was looking at the Ranger decals for the back that go into the stamped metal. Found some nice black ones with red trim too.
I have a 2020 Ranger Lariat FX4. I am thinking maybe I should have got this instead. I will say I am coming from a Tacoma and my Ranger is so much better in really every way. Mostly the comfort. I am 6'3 and I could never get comfortable in the Tacoma and I felt claustrophobic in the cab. The one great part is a when I did sell it I was able to sell it for an amazing price.

Maybe I'm behind the times, but how does the electronic differential work? Can you engage the different modes on the fly, or do you have to be completely stopped before selecting another mode?
It’s a sharpe looking truck one thing I don’t like is that coded door but that’s just my preference and I think those steps shouldn’t be on an off-road truck I would do away with them

i have a 2020 ranger xlt SuperCrew fx4!my ranger gets about 17-19mpg and for those that don't know.. 270hp and 310torque is at the crank not the wheels did they fix the injector pump sound and the 3-4 second throttle delay?
@@ddnmd i dive highway 65-70 it has about 13,000 but i us the like using the hp and torque getting up to speed for the most part that is the biggest reason mpg is were it is but i have never seen 25mpg from mine maybe 22mpg? it is hard for me to drive slow with this truck still not used to new trucks! i had a 96 f150 before this 1had to press gas petal harder! it got about 9-11mpg
@@matthew197735 yeah that would do it. When you fill up, reset the mpg . My 08 tundra did the same thing, if you always drove it hard it would learn how you drive. So reset the computer and it goes back up. Buy a tuner for it, makes it even more torque.

My son just purchased the 2021 ranger stx and the tremor is just not worth $50k+ the dealer is wanting. Not enough added from the stx model to justify that kind of cost especially with no other engine combos to choose from.

You might want to state up front that this is the Lariat edition Ranger and not an XLT. Big price difference.

17-19 mpg? I have the 2019 fx4 with 45,000 miles and I get 24-25 driving to work doing 55-60 mph.
