General distrust and prejudice against anything related to China, I think. Unfortunately, people are missing out on the wealth of information Dr Heyne gives

It’s because they silence medical practice that doesn’t align with western practice. I THINK they tweak the algorithm

Super helpful. I am the first and my partner the second with a wee bit of overlap. That explains my love for meat and warm food and he wants more bread and salad.

Hi. What if you’re a mix? High anxiety, larger body type, sensitive to stimulants and cinnamon, can’t be too hot and loves the cold, acne, bad digestion…..

I genuinely feel like I'm a mixed both, used to eat a lot before, but now I can barely eat much as I'm always bloated, but I have always suffered from sinus issues, weak knees, cracking joints however.
I had a slow metabolism however.

    Hi Alex,
I recently watched another video of yours and found this very helpful so I continue to look through your channel and I found this video.
I found myself in one category and my wife in another which I am very happy because and I can start to help her with many of these problems that she’s been experiencing and you were pointing out that they are diet related.
Thanks again for the expertise, I work at Kamalaya where we practice Chinese medicine, although I am in the fitness department I am now more eager to talk to the TCM doctors to learn more about this.
    Thanks again Alex

I'm a hot one! But I am super sensitive to coffee. I always feel better when I eat more veggies so thank you for the reminder. I love your channel!

I'm Taiyin type, like what you said in the video I'm very sensitive to coffee. Despite coffee and tea are both caffeine drinks, I find that coffee suites me better than tea, tea is considered colder than coffee (in TCM perspective). I also have sinus issues, whenever I drink too much green tea my nose got worse. Coffee somewhat can clear dampness (with the right amount) and support my digestive system. Would love to hear your opinion about coffee and tea from the TCM perspective in future videos.

Great video. Please diagnose other body type constitution in future video.
Also can ones body Constitution change over time? For example if I'm the taiyiin type and I start eating warm food and avoiding cold foods for a long period, will my body become warm constitution?

My constitution is Yin. However I find that what’s missing in this video is achieving balance. TCM was born out of the Ancient Indian wisdom of Ayurveda. I religiously followed by Ayurvedic body type (Yin) to the point I had too much heat in my body - resulting in a dry and fissured tongue. I think it will be useful to see a video on everyday diet vs seasons, because clearly one extreme doesn’t work!

super helpful vid but a im a little confused bc I lean towards the warm constitution in size, apetite, and sleep but im definitely a sensitive person in ways and I never overheat physically just emotionally, physically I'm always cold? and I live in a desert! i'm guessing I should eat mostly cooked vegetables and grains with warming herbs but as for the meat and cold dairys im not sure... thinking I should just decrease my intake of them and see how I feel?

Wow the cold constitution described me perfectly...also when I tried doing the green smoothies everyday I felt awful. But I feel great eating stews and hot spicy food! Is intermittent fasting bad for this constitution?

I'm the first to like yipee 😂 I'm the cold damp body type, love dairy so am.not giving that up, don't drink celery juice as am allergic to celery, never have issues with my sinuses or a stuffy nose, used to be prone to catching colds, but haven't had a cold in over 13 years never get the flu and don't get the flu jab, just happen to be drinking a warming herbal tea with ginger cinnamon and cardamom, its hot 🔥 and spicy

Sooooo what do I do if I am exactly both but definitely not neither? Slim but also strong, 'damp' symptoms but need raw foods and meat but not too much, run cold but sweat, lose weight when stressed and prone to anxiety AND overeating????? Highly sensitive, weak digestive system but prone to excess.... What does this mean?

Maybe...well I'm the first type.. sensitive to caffeine, leaner side usually..😅 i was Told I'm a *"Pancreatonia and my tummy inside runs hot so I must drink a cold drink first thing in AM and avoid Chicken, Sweet potatoes- atleast for now🤪😭, and no onions for now. My pancreas is too strong weakening my uterus and kidneys..he said. But I'm confused because im not supposed to have ginger, or ginseng or hot spicy things. 😂 Maybe I'm a mix. Haha. I'll 😅have to come see you!

Smoothies and cold icy drinks are in general not good for the guts no matter what. The smoothies trend is damaging. It's also less beneficial to drink the fruit's juice rather than eat the whole fruit, and use our teeth to do so.

This is confusing I have all the cold damp , however I’m not thin , not big but just a little chubby… I also cannot eat meat it doesn’t digest it causes extreme pain ! Going vegan changed my life for the better. That being said I can’t do all raw I do often have a smoothie for breakfast , but warming foods with my other meals I add hot steamed veggies on my salads which I love bc it warms it all up but still the greens keep the nutrients. Anyways very interesting oh and also I was a hot type as a child into my teens but especially after having kids I switched to cold , I am always cold too and I get angry when it’s cold not hot lol I love being in Florida for that reason I love sitting in the hot sun !

If you eat the same foods, you become prone to food intolerance. We are creatures of habit, so of course you are going to tell me to eat foods I dont eat much and avoid foods I do eat. Just trying to understand how TCM works???

  • @hcure4003

So true, why do us cold damp ones wish to be vegetarian so bad when it's so bad for us :( i don't like meat very much but i had to start eating it because of health issues. It's now one of the only foods i tolerate well. We've always been so sensitive, so of course we're sensitive to the idea of eating meat and to how strange nature is (everything and everyone eating each other constantly lmao)

    • @hcure4003
      @hcure4003 ปีที่แล้ว

I do hope that as I balance out more, that I can tolerate other foods again later on.... some things have changed about me, like, I eat more than I use to, and I don't stress as easily now. Hope to continue balancing

  • @winterinbloom

Oh yay, my least favorite advice, lol! I don't know what to make of this part of Chinese medicine. I don't exactly fit properly into any category, and thanks to previous experience I'm super reluctant to change the way I eat again. For years I fully believed that diet would be the cure for my illness so I tried several that were supposed to be the end all be all, and usually ended up with some issue that sent me to the emergency room or made me almost sick enough to have to go.
Over the years I developed my own set of rules for eating that help me maintain a lesser level of sick and miserable and that's about the best I can do. I eat enough calories to maintain my weight where it is at, because over eating will make me have digestive issues and under eating will make me gain weight like crazy. The only way I have lost any weight in the last 12 years was to cut calories down to 500 and do intense exercise until I blacked out or came close. That diet and exercise plan means 24/7 splitting headaches and hair loss no matter how many vitamins you take, so I was only dumb enough to try it once.
