The moderator lacks full knowledge about the subject but takes biased views. Sri Sai Deepak is always putting his side with logic and reason. The other guy was quoting USA as if it is a standard of developed society. Bharat and some Asian countries had women Prime Ministers whereas USA had none. There are people who eat only vegetables like those who eat meat and there are vegan also. In future if some group wants to eat human flesh can we allow it or go to court to claim it as a fundamental right???. There cannot be only rights and no responsibility. Hope the so called liberals understand and respect rights of others also.

In the end sai deepak ji has nailed it to her properly, she was getting impatient and tried to act like a girl and fetch sympathy to move on, but sai being sai did not budge he just made his point which was the most logical and therefore unacceptable to Shoma. If she was mature all she had to say was I disagree with that but let’s move on. No she cannot say that because that’s accepting defeat right?

Why at all have a concept of marriage at all then? The same privileges of marriage can be extended to any two entities man and woman, man and man, woman and woman, man and animal/ living being/ material. That marriage in itself isa social-legal creation.
As Sai mentioned in the last segment, there are laws that protect women's rights during and after marriage. Without a concept of marriage, those laws safeguarding women's rights will lose their significance. Rather than extending, we probably need to formulate better laws specifically protecting the rights of same-sex couples.

Sai Deepak has always been correct and to the point. The anchor (anchors) should learn to put the questions in strait forward and not make it a big paragraph which irritates the listener. Apparently she is lost in her own points.

kerala law exist even inspite of hindu dharmashastra stand on marriage is because that dharmashastra clarify varieties of sources of law /hindu law and custom is viewed as one of sources and manytime it act primary source and even dharmshastras/arthashastra suggest dont to disrespect customs .we dont much believe in top down approach like king make law which just eradicate all custom or dharmashastra .this is approach of concept of secular state and state make law and that all.whats J sai deepak is refering to that SC has no power nor expertize is actually that SC law is like top down appraoch 5 judge sit and decide on issue where custom has to say
Marrying niece is not practiced in kerala but tamil nadu.I think this inbreeding is one reason that tamil nadu has lot of transgender population.In kerala there still exist practice of marrying cousins. In north rural areas there are still cases of brothers sharing wife.Not to hurt anyone's feeling guys.
I believe that the same sex couples should be allowed to marry via a court marriage but to actually hold a religious one they must have to file a form of request in front of their respective religious community and only allowed when that perticular community is okay to let them hold religious gathering.
This way no religious sentiments will be hurt and no individual rights will be hurt either.
And as for society (at least sanatan dharm) it will still take some considerable amount of time before a same sex marriage will be accepted but we have always continued to evolve our ways hopefully we will find our own answers to these complex questions as well.

What I don’t understand is, why do gay men/woman want to fall into a hetero normative institution called marriage? Ask for taxation and inheritance rights. You don’t need an approval from the government in the name of marriage. If you want to get a separation, you don’t have to go through the laborious process of a divorce. Pick and choose the best from a marriage institution that goes with your life and ask for a Civil Union to include the ones you choose.
Marriage as an institution is outdated and ruins your life if you want to get out of it. Don’t make your life hell. Just get the rights that are necessary to live a good life.
