Best solution for both minorities and majority feel secure is to abolish minority status, uphold the principle of Equality before Law and Equal Treatment under Law. When law is equally available to all many of the evils will cease to exist.

Both the judge and the sardar are wish-washy and not addressing the real issue... excuse they have, that we are not on Sabarimalai issue now.. They did not do justice to Nupur’s Voice , whichindeed!is People/ majority voice which has been ignored for2000+ years.. garbage arguments , after genocide after genocides of Hindus consistently..

Sardarji & ex-judge both fail to understand female panelist's point. She's right to criticize judiciary specifically on faith issues. Courts are comfortable & quick to issue Anti- Hindu or attack/ban Hindu traditions but never dare to touch ant other religion....
But both Sardar & Judge just fail to get this point & generalize the judiciary verdicts & blame their failures on system & virtue-signal by telling the women to stop dividing the nation on religion.!!! Its the judiciary that's doing it idiots.

The gentleman who asked why the judges don't consult hindi version of the constitution where the terms are used from our tradition should have known the milords are all english educated and can't read, write or speak in hindi or any other INDIAN languages. Don't put too much pressure on the milords that they should have ability to read the constitution in INDIAN language. They may pass judgement like judges are persecuted in INDIA, so democracy is in danger.

It seems to me that ours is the ONLY democracy in the world in which the word "majoritarianism" is brandied about by a significant number of citizens with a negative connotation. Does this mean that a significant number of Indian Citizens do not understand the meaning of "Democracy" itself or based on the effective closure of MAJORITY participation (or reflection on majority of sentiments) by Indian Jurisprudence since 1947, the word "majoritarianism" acquired an almost UNLAWFUL meaning in the minds of illiterate citizens.

    Indian judiciary is colonial.
It runs in English and hence outcasts Indians by expecting them to rely on a foreign langauge for their legal issues.
It is based on English common law which has nothing to do with India, Asia or any other non-White or North Western European society. So it is entirely slavish and made by house slaves of English.
Common law system enforces future judgments to follow past judgements instead of applying law specifically for each case and derive judgement from laws.

Fine discussion on various challenges before our judiciary and its (biased) functioning over a long time. Though the session was an hour long, I felt it should have been extended to let panelists make their points and counterpoints freely, besides taking few more questions from the audience at the venue. The purpose of such sessions is to educate the general public too on various contentious points being discussed by SMEs at such sessions. Of course, such sessions should address issues and not individuals or stakeholders of a system venting their anger against other stakeholders, or to settle personal scores. Overall this was a very insightful session though.

For one faith (Islam) court is deciding based on religious text(Koran) and for other(Hinduism) it is deciding based on "cold" constitutional interpretation driven by imposed colonial morality

Mr judge, the Constitution is not at all, as the Framers would have wanted it to be..it was verbatim, Government of India Act , as promulgated by the British ..wholly and solely ..with Britain’s nefarious, selfish goals in mind.. The People of India had no say in the matter.. Secondly, 100s of one party , one dynasty biased reforms have been introduced surreptitiously .. Don{t beat around the bush and blame the Framers..

In Mahabharata there were seven successive generations of widows Starting from Satyavati to the wife of Parikshit. Some of the widowsvbecame mothers- Ambika, a widow, was the mother of Dhritsrashtra and Ambalika , another widow, was the mother of Panduraju. Then Uttara, a widow, gave birth to Parikshit. The lies told by Ramamohan Roy are there to be seen. You don't need rocket science to expose the lies of Brahmosamaj.

      Absolutely.
Also, if sati was a truly indian practice, why kaushalya, sumitra and kaikayi were not set on fire?
These leftist chrislamocommies are bloody bastards!!

I am from Bengal and Sati was real. It was just not as prevalent as our the leftist historians claim. But it did happen. It wasnt a lie and many many literature talks about the practice. Its well documented. It wasnt a Hindu practice. But a social evil in certain regions like Bengal. From what I know it started happening after British changed inheritence laws for Hindus while Muslims as always had their own law.

First of all decolonize the Indian Laws, Courts and police system. These white Christian laws should go. Dharma should be the basis of Law. We have Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas, Smritis and other books that expounded Laws. Rama uttered the sloka "Jananee Janmabhoomischa Swargadapi Gareeyasi"- who said better any time and anywhere? For example Narada in Sabha Parvam, Nahusha in Aranya Parvam, Yama in Aranya Parvam, Bheeshma in Shnati Parvam, Dhritarashtra in Ashramavasa Parvam and Krishna throughout the book of Mahabharata explain how laws should be. Then we have Artha sastra of Chanakaya (Kautilya) that is in no way inferior to any European law books. In England, laws were made to favour the Peers, Lords, Ladies and the Royalty. And we adopted this for India- which is wrong. In any given law of Europe, you have loop holes purposely written to continue the oppression and suppression of the poor and oblige the rich. For example, in any European Law, the 4th clause contradicts 10th clause that contradicts 12th clause. That reminds us of the Bible where Peter contradicts Paul, Paul contradicts Jesus and Jesus contradicts both Peter and Paul. This confusion is needed to exploit the lower classes. A good lawyer and a corrupt Judge will invariably work for upper classes who feed them. Get rid of the present Constitution (it is anti Hindu anyway) and frame a new one. Then elaborate and promulgate fair laws that are conducive to the betterment of all classes of the society. In my humble opinion, Sai Deepak is not the last word either on Law or on Constitution.Just like Ranganthan, Abhijit Ayer, Prakash Singh are not last words in their half baked theories on history and society.

Judiciary can't say, "here we are, to order/direct the executive/legislature since they failed in their basic duty".
If that were to be the "reason" for the judiciary to order/direct the other two pillars of our democracy, and to justify what clearly was judicial overreach, which other authority should order/direct the judiciary on their horrible record at their basic duty of dispensing justice to the common man (and more importantly, in reasonable time) that the judiciary failed so miserably at?
Under which provision of our constitution can judiciary place themselves superior to the executive/legislature?
Further, the conduct of our higher judiciary is ludicrous to say the least. Highly questionable too. What of the Midnight hearings? Midnight sanction of bails?? Courts sitting beyond working hours in certain high-profile cases???
More than ridiculous was when some four judges put forth their grievances in what they said, wasthe people's court?!!
Sad that there didn't exist an authority that could outrightly dismiss those justices for this highly unacceptable conduct.
Biased..corrupt..incompetent...arrogant..whimsical..lazy..is the public perception of our judiciary today.
I really shiver at the thought..what happens to our nation and democracy if people take law into their hands on account of the inordinate delay in the dispensation of justice? or if people resort to physical violence and attack judges, exasperated at the kind of judgements they pass in matters of faith.
Time for a thorough overhaul of our judicial system and to create a mechanism to make judges accountable for their work turnout and dismiss the incompetent ones when their decrees get upturned often enough in higher courts etc.
Read somewhere, that a justice who didn't pass a single judgement during his whole tenure at high court got elevated to the supreme court!
Our judicial system is in shambles. Common man has almost lost his faith in our judiciary. That is a very dangerous scenario.
Wish the eminent of this country lent their minds, gave a deep thought on this very important organ for our democracy to flourish.
