You know, I don’t (fully) understand the Tingle hate in the west. Yes, he WAS horrible in WW but in MM and OoA, he’s a kooky but friendly guy. I’d honestly like to see him return to the main series (outside of references)

Wario may be a money-obsessed jackass, but he often shows the bare minimum of a nicer side in the WarioWare games. Tingle's entire thing is that he's obsessed with fairies. He rarely has a personality outside of "talks about fairies" and he's just offputting. He's like Zelda's version of a Furry but for fairies instead of animals

The first game's about wealth, and the second's about love. I guess that means the third would've been about death, so maybe Tingle lucked out by it being canceled. Now, he can live forever.

I remember reading something that claimed that a Zelda art book had commentary regarding Purlo, and this commentary basically said "Purlo is an interpretation of Tingle in the art style of Twilight Princess". I'm not sure if that claim was true though. E: I looked it up, it was said in Hyrule Historia.

Baloon Trip of Love is seriously one of my favorite games from my childhood and I'm glad you made a video about it! This game deserves more love. The amount of unique sprites and funny details are quite insane. And the main characters are really likable.
AntDude is a guy who I sometimes wish would post videos more often. I'm always checking on the channel to see if there's something new, but, more often than not, there isn't. On the other hand, though, it is great, cause every single video becomes meaningful. I love it!

Nintendo of America in the Wii/DS era was really hesitant about releasing more niche titles, even if they already released in Europe: Tingle‘s Rosy Rupeeland, Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (the sequel to Hotel Dusk), Another Code R (which now luckily gets a North American release via the Switch remake) and Disaster: Day of Crisis all were localised for Europe but had no release in NA. And additionally you had to protest to get a North American release for Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story and Pandora‘s Tower while here in Europe they were localised and announced to release without thinking twice…
Must have been payback for all the SNES RPGs that skipped a European release. Secret of Mana was the exception. But hey, at least we still got Terranigma.

I remember watching Vinny Vinesauce play Balloon Trip of Love and I had never seen a game I wanted to play so badly before. Like I watched his whole playthrough and still wanted to experience the game myself, but instead of doing the normal thing and downloading the fan translation, I picked up a copy at Anime Expo last year alongside Chibi-Robo Clean Sweep and decided I'll just do it this way.
Unfortunately, the whole mechanic of collecting Rupees in Freshly Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland is what inspired the whole abundance and gameplay of Coins in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and it seems intentional since Vanpool codeveloped the game.

It has been fan translated along with Moon and UFO. -Vanpool's first game was Endonesia and it might be weirder then the two tingle games and Colorball 2002 which sounds like a sports game, but I assure you thats not the case. These were the only ps2 games prior to them working on the minigames for super star saga. Also they have co-developed every switch kirby game. -Punchline has two games. One of which is rule of rose. A rare and rather popular horror game for the ps2. Its the more well known of these games. Its also known for being super expensive.

They should have gave Zelda or Kirby should have got new reps because after Ganondorf we just got two clones of link which is disappointing because in my humble opinion they should have pick Skull Kid, Midna or heck even I would even take Tingle because these three characters have so much unique and interesting move set potential and yet in Utilmate they were reduced down to assist trophy and Kirby has 3 good reps but why add Bandanna Waddle Dee or Susie for new reps Kirby series but Utilmate finished its DLC in 2021 so sadly this will never but I guess it’s still cool to think about.

Tingle getting four DS games is easily explainable: he was an EXTREMELY popular character in Japan but was widely hated in America, so that explains why the games were only released in Japan and Europe.
I watched Hammy play Rupeeland and Balloon Trip and I was honestly blown away by them. I don't think I would've enjoyed playing them so much myself, but watching them was super fun.

The weirdest game I own is Tingle's Balloon Fight, specifically a Japanese copy of it. Only reason I think I care about it is because of how weird it is. Definitely a conversation starter I probably should use more often

Tingle getting four DS games is easily explainable: he was an EXTREMELY popular character in Japan but was widely hated in America, so that explains why the games were only released in Japan and Europe.
