Genuinely really sad he didn't have a good time with Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. That was the one I grew up with and it's got a bit of nostalgia factor for me. Also fun fact: if you let Squidward win in that race, you get some special dialogue.

Oh God the original PC version was actually the only Spongebob game I had as a kid. I kinda liked it back then, even tho it was weird (probably cause I didnt know any actual good games) but when I think back it was a total fever dream I actually forgot about it until I saw it here
Boating bash is really good imo, the story mode gets you to play all the modes, the story is pretty unique, the soundtrack slaps harder then a tug boat at full speed. The characters audio that weren’t reused, they sound like they are having fun. Which I can see why, I constantly have to force myself to stop playing it. I would like a reydration version of boating bash and some others on the list

Light camera pants on pc was another point and click, somehow less minigames. Kinda confused me as a kid, I thought if I made the best movie I could I would win the game, but it never happened.

man the nostalgia I get after seeing Atlantis Squarepantis (DS version) is just intense since it was the first game I have ever played I just tear up looking at those old models.
I remember the creature of the Kristy krab and I played it as a child and I really being traumatized by the car sequence, like those faces were so terrifying to me, it gave me goosebumps. This game feels like a fever dream and I don't even think I finished it
I didn't think he would actually like the DS version of Truth or Square. It's the one I had growing up and it gave me neck pains from looking at the bottom screen constantly since thats where most of the action is
My favorite Spongebob game was actually one that you bought from one of those Nickelodeon software game catalogues they sent out monthly. It was called Diner Dash and it was so much fun. I used to just play the levels until it got too complicated for my kid brain, then put it down and pick it up again in a few months. I went back to play it when I got a little older and it's actually not hard and very short, but I think that's fine for a kid audience. For an early 2000s task management game, it was great.
Great video!! I will say that thoroughly enjoyed revenge of the flying dutchman! A remaster of that, the movie game, and creature of krusty Krab would make me happy forever
They had stand in actors for Mermaid Man when the original died in 2012 to aid and keep the superhero's alive with Tim Conway, the voice actor of Barnacle Boy. Now with Conway passed away in 2019, the superhero's will forever be background appearances telling us the fans "Hey the actors might be gone, but the characters won't be."
Personally I adored Creature from the Krusty Krab and loved the different art styles in the early game so much and personaly i put it up with Battle for Bikkini Bottom and The Movie games as a sort of trilogy!
I loved playing Lights Camera Pants because whoever wins the mini games they lay out actually changes the cut scenes of the final movie product to show the characters getting to act in their chosen roles which was really cool
yknow, outside the context of a Spongebob episode, lines like "Goodbye, everybody; I'll remember you all in therapy." seem much older than the Target Audience...which means that Inside the context of a Spongebob episode, the show can get a little too real...
Im so happy to see someone actually critique rehydrated. So many people were just blatently posotive about it. Also one of the other things they cut was the health tutorial in spongebobs pinaples closset. In rehydrated you just magically take damage and it tells you to pick uo the underwear. In the original a safe flys out of the sky from nowhere and lands on spongebob.
The irony is that ive heard all sides of this now. There are people who genuinely love the changes you seem to hate and vice versa. Its an interesting conflict. Well except for the multiplayer part. Pretty much everyone hated that.

I had no idea that Battle for Bikini Bottom was different on consoles than PC. I played on PC, so I was always a bit confused and swore I had played Battle for Bikini Bottom, turns out I played the PC version. I still have a lot of nostalgia for it and Employee of the Month.
I really wish this video was 4 seconds longer, so I could officially brag about how I watched some guy, play, and review every SpongeBob game, for 2 hours.
The spongebob the movie game on gba is a big part of my childhood. I mostly played it during my grandpa's funeral when I was 6 years old. I didn't really understand what was going on at the time all I cared about was spongebob. Then I laughed at my dad for crying a lot.
The only game I had on this whole list was the Drawn to Life spinoff. Got it on christmas one year- I think I could tell you everything that was going on when I got it. I never had the official Drawn to Life games, but I was an artsy kid and I played this game over and over again. It's really cool to see someone cover it, even if briefly.
It warms my heart when I see someone has taken the time to improve neglected games - the passion and specific understanding of what the game could use to improve combined with player experience and years of technology and game design understanding maturation culminating in unbelievably satisfying ultimate editions of games. "it's too bad Nintendo didn't see it that way..."
As someone who's still got a bit of nostalgia for the GBA movie game, I just wanna add that I really liked that there were unlockable bonus stages. Like a LOT of unlockable bonus stages.
That harmonica megalovania intro hit my ears right before I took a sip of chocolate milk and if I had been two seconds earlier I most assuredly would have choked
I'm not gonna lie,,, the Atlantis SquarePantis wii game was my childhood. I have all the music in my head at random times. I do admit some things go on for too long but I'll always find the game fun and charming lmao
Looking at the SquarePants movie game is so nostalgic. I still have the disk and my ps2 - might have to complete the game again for the 20th time. I was obsessed with the game as a kid.
I absolutely adore Light Camera Pants as it played a huge role in my childhood. That is... When the game actually works. It takes literal hours for a minigame to load, and ohhh boyy the lag. It almost perfection imo, if it weren't for the excruciating waiting time and crashes.
Well, jiggle-me-handles, Breature From The Krusty Karb, wasn't good? I'm as surprised as learning that Spongebob DIDN'T get his boating license(again), oh I know right? Who WOULDN'T want to give the likable Spongebob his boating license? It's a load of barnacles. Well, goodbye for now everyone, I'll remember you in therapy.
28:59 still find it funny how Mrs.Puff doesn't even look distraught during this conversation. In fact, she seems to always use that animation whenever shes angry or scared
30:20 I don't know if this has been said already, but the main thing is that the Spongebob cast's contract says that they all work together all the time, meaning that if you wanted to redo Mr. Krabs and Mermaid Man, The ENTIRE game would have to be re-voiced too, which is not only prohibitively expensive, but likely not possible given the amount of time the developers had.
I remember playing Boating Bash a couple of times growing up, and as my first SpongeBob video game when I was a really big fan of the show, it's not that bad. It was basically my version of Twisted Metal, lol
I played that GBC game as a kid and I haven't thought about it much since then but it might actually be a big part of why I always loved exploration in games
Anyone else find it weird that in both handheld versions of Atlantis Squarepantis, Patrick does that trimming combo with Mr Krabs despite the fact that it was Sandy who did it with him in the special? Why did they change that?
Shanghaied being the episode. Though the third wish screwed them over anyway, as they were turned into fruit, and about to become part of the Dutchman's smoothie
I remember all the fun I had playing the PC version of ''Battle for Bikini Bottom'', the childhood nostalgia. However, I still agree as it doesn't the same formula as the GameCube version. Instead of a platformer, the PC version was like a collection of simple, yet entertaining minigames. They may not play the same as the GameCube version, but they still offer a decent amount of challenge.
I remember wanting battle for bikinibottom So I got the pc one for my birthday as a kid Played it to death and when I a few years later talked about the game to people who had the console version, we were all just confused. Why did companies have 3 different games practically with the same name :( its just a shame honestly but I will cherish the fun time I had with it
As a kid, I loved Lights Camera Pants because it you were playing Spongebob with your friends. It was like Mario Party but Spongebob. I kinda wish they would get a Rehydrated treatment tbh
Yeah, I played only the first level of Disney Universe, and I was like "Wow, I'm never touching this ever again" I felt the same way with Robotic Revenge on 3DS
honestly, when it comes to Truth or Square, it was my first SpongeBob game and I'd definitely recommend the game to beginners/kids getting into games for the first time seeing as how it's fairly easy and not too long
I’d love to see a video like these done for the Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension game. That games is one of the key aspects of my childhood and I haven’t really seen anyone cover it.
Between his recent Hamtaro video and this wonderful compilation of his experience with SpongeBob, I hope Ant continues binging licensed game series for our amusement.
You have no idea how nostalgic Creature from the Krusty Krab for the GBA is for me. I played thru that game so many times as a kid actual solid childhood memory for me. And when I saw you showcase it I was right back in it remembering every level and all the minigames😢😊

I'm not gonna lie,,, the Atlantis SquarePantis wii game was my childhood. I have all the music in my head at random times. I do admit some things go on for too long but I'll always find the game fun and charming lmao
AntDude's the only guy I know who can talk about Spongebob videogames...FOR TWO HOURS
Reference much? Haha.
As a kid, I got Creature from the Krusty Krab from Blockbuster and I was obsessed with that comic book art style!
I remember a plug and play racing game like Mario Kart and it was shaped like a wheel with motion controls. It was pretty fun.
Looking at the SquarePants movie game is so nostalgic. I still have the disk and my ps2 - might have to complete the game again for the 20th time. I was obsessed with the game as a kid.
As a SpongeBob fan, this give me nostalgia
I absolutely adore Light Camera Pants as it played a huge role in my childhood.
That is... When the game actually works.
It takes literal hours for a minigame to load, and ohhh boyy the lag.
It almost perfection imo, if it weren't for the excruciating waiting time and crashes.
I had already watched all these vids, but DUDE it's the entire retrospective, of course I had to watch it all over again, jiggle-me-handle!
Viewers: how many spongebob references do you want to make
Antdude: yes.
One thing the remake decently fixed was Kelp Forest, the extra lighting in my opinion made it easier to see where your going ( in my opinion )
I remember playing Boating Bash a couple of times growing up, and as my first SpongeBob video game when I was a really big fan of the show, it's not that bad. It was basically my version of Twisted Metal, lol
BFBB will always be one of my childhood games man, it was incredible! 😭
Speaking of Incredible the Incrdibles game for PS2 was great definitely a favorite and I would love to see an remaster like Crash Spyro and BFBB did
I played that GBC game as a kid and I haven't thought about it much since then but it might actually be a big part of why I always loved exploration in games
I seriously appreciate the work put into this video.
Anyone else find it weird that in both handheld versions of Atlantis Squarepantis, Patrick does that trimming combo with Mr Krabs despite the fact that it was Sandy who did it with him in the special? Why did they change that?
Actually there *was* an episode of Spongebob wherein The Dutchman granted three wishes, so he does have the ability.
Shanghaied being the episode. Though the third wish screwed them over anyway, as they were turned into fruit, and about to become part of the Dutchman's smoothie
@@DirectorOfChaos9292
There were two other endings actually that ones just the one they stuck with after the first airing.
@@fritzy8318 wait there were??? I need to check these out
I remember all the fun I had playing the PC version of ''Battle for Bikini Bottom'', the childhood nostalgia. However, I still agree as it doesn't the same formula as the GameCube version. Instead of a platformer, the PC version was like a collection of simple, yet entertaining minigames. They may not play the same as the GameCube version, but they still offer a decent amount of challenge.
I remember wanting battle for bikinibottom
So I got the pc one for my birthday as a kid
Played it to death and when I a few years later talked about the game to people who had the console version, we were all just confused.
The movie game will always be my favorite. So many memories!!!
Creature From the Krusty Krab is a LITERAL fever dream and I love it
Rehydrated looks so pretty. The original had more muted colors. I love the brighter colors. Especially rock bottom, the neon lights look so good.
Yeah, I played only the first level of Disney Universe, and I was like "Wow, I'm never touching this ever again"
I felt the same way with Robotic Revenge on 3DS
I really enjoyed truth or square when I was a kid. I can’t imagine how many hours I actually put in on it
honestly, when it comes to Truth or Square, it was my first SpongeBob game and I'd definitely recommend the game to beginners/kids getting into games for the first time seeing as how it's fairly easy and not too long
Good Job! These reviews are really great but there is one thing you haven’t covered. The Flash Games.
I played Employee of the Month! Still have it! Don’t think I can still play it, but it was…. odd from what I remember.
I’d love to see a video like these done for the Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension game. That games is one of the key aspects of my childhood and I haven’t really seen anyone cover it.
The fact that you talked about spongebob for almost 2 hours is super impresive haha
This is 5 different videos
@@jbfarley i know but still its just funny to me that he made so much videos about spongebob
@Lisfa Ensa 📽️ nice virus you have over there little bot
I love these retrospective videos
Between his recent Hamtaro video and this wonderful compilation of his experience with SpongeBob, I hope Ant continues binging licensed game series for our amusement.
and the Toy Story one
Almost 2 hours of Spongebob games? Just hook it to my veins
creature from the krusty krab was the first game I ever played so I have some serious nostalgia for it
I personally liked The Movie: The Game more than Battle for Bikini Bottom. But I'm a sucker for good soundtracks and TM:TG stood out more to me
idt ive ever seen anyone not just call it movie game, i think i like movie game more aside from backtracking for the goofy goober tokens
My favorite part of this video was Patrick randomly saying "No questions!" to an inexplicably sad Mr. Krabs.
This is super handy for rewatching! Thanks!
@Alice ❤️ reported :)
@I am a PERSON I reported her too!
@@TheletterK7116 thanks!
You have no idea how nostalgic Creature from the Krusty Krab for the GBA is for me. I played thru that game so many times as a kid actual solid childhood memory for me. And when I saw you showcase it I was right back in it remembering every level and all the minigames😢😊
