    I got a 4 year old 3.0 MV6 automatic with LPG gas conversion for £4,250 back in 2005.
    The kick-down in sports mode was awesome. It went from 70 to over 100 in the blink of an eye.
    It was a great car with full leather interior but the gas tank took up over half of the boot space.

    Well I suppose Vauxhall did eventually do the Corvette V8 thing in the Monaro VXR8...but that was about 5 years too late and came as a 2 door only so limiter practicality. A V8 Omega tourer would have been an awesome practical but fun family car! Missed opportunity there, Vauxhall!

    Did he say “Aluminium dash board” ....?

      I guess he meant the trim .. that is mostly "wood" in these

    My dad had a pretty face lift 2.5 V6 Tourer estate - wonderful thing and I haven’t seen a single other tourer ever anywhere. Then he got the 3.0 estate in champagne paint and the larger alloys. Such a wonderful thing and I think the face lift made it uglier

      Oh yes! That was a special edition. The saloon version was called the Reflection, and I only recall seeing one once many years ago.
      P.S. Pleased to hear your dad's face lift made him pretty 😋

    2.6 v6 and 3.2 v6 are good motors if everything is working and money's been spent on them. including speed sensitive steering working correctly. Wouldn't bother with a manual in these cars as autos are just so smooth. I have had both v6s and a 2.2 16 petrol. OK engine uses less fuel but doesn't pull away like a v6 model at all. cost me 10 pound in petrol for my journey to work in 2.2 and 2.6/3.2 was nearly double. but moved when you got to a hill.

      I would prefer a Senator B 3.0i 24v over any Omega that's not a Lotus

      Its still on the road from what i can tell but the owner is neglecting it according to the MOT sheets. its had corroded brake pipes for years. it only has about 100k on the clock. not bad for an old bus.

      Two words for this car FUCKING CRAP!!!! Vauxhall has really gone down hill since the 80s and 90s cars the ecotec engine's are weak not like the redtop engine's which are bulletproof

    for a big car the interior storage is weak, many compartments that nothing fits inside. great motor though.

    I wish Ian Royle would sort out his grammar. Prepositions don't go at the end of a sentence and Vauxhall isn't plural. (0:27).

  • @paulanderson79
    @paulanderson79 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ian Royle, journalist with no command of grammar. Ian Royle who knows nothing of modern diesel engines.
