    When doing this job. Spray all bolts with bb blast. DON'T REMOVE THE NUTS ON TOP OF SHOCKS. just take the 18mm bolts off bottoms. Great video and God bless to all

    You doubled the clearance. I thought that would look to high but it looks perfect. It's longer springs AND the 2" lift kit for 4". The back of my truck is 6" higher than the front so this would work on my truck as well 2010 250 Super Crew Diesel

    Expensive but you Got me looking for this 7.3 mod 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Coilover Conversion Kit This kit is engineered for the Carli Suspension Coilover or Dominator Suspension Kits. Did you have to do drop brackets for the I beams? I just did a similar leveling kit on my 02 f250 and replaced the cambers as well but it still won’t align without the drop brackets. Only problem is that I can’t find them anywhere online or at lift shops. If you have any ideas it would be much appreciated

      I did the same thing and am having the same problem some trucks get lucky and there is enough room for the I beam to clear the ball joint so in my case I’m going to have to grind down the top of the I beam and I’m going to change the 3in spacer to a 2” spacer. And I’m going to take it back up to the alignment shop.

  • @kennethcoffey8754
    @kennethcoffey8754 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    From Ken Coffey, Hello Everyone.....I'm a car and truck guy...know my stuff....the conversion on an I Beam two wheel drive 2000 plus Ford truck lift is problematic. Yes, you can take new or old front springs and add a two inch lift just as described in the video. Yes, you can use permanently adjusted Moog camber or the most extreme adjustable Moog camber bushing and set to extreme...adjustment of four degrees from factory. . With project complete and truck ready to roll, there is a dangerous bottom negative camber that still exists even with the Moog adjustable camber bushing rotated to extreme. The tires will shred and an unsafe camber will exist. Taking your vehicle to an alignment shop will not fix the problem. They can toe-in align, but the camber bushing still exists at an improper fix. The video was done beautifully and am not judging the value of the project, however as a suspension expert, your camber will always be at least two degrees off with the top of the tires protruding out beyond a plum camber as needed for road safety and proper handling. Solution: You need to change to after market A arms that are specifically made to manage a lift and maintain proper camber specifications. Thanks for reading.

      Not true I did this about 10 years ago on my 2003 f350 dually 2wd and I am running 285 mud terrains and I get about 45000 to 50000 miles out of my tires and I tow an 180000 lbs trailer about 6 times a year. I also put a locker on the rear and I never get stuck anywhere.

    • @DannyridesMTB55
      @DannyridesMTB55 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Rich I have never changed them they are factory and I have never had problems with it. I do rotate my tires every 10000 miles and it cost me $125 to do that but I think that is why I get the miles I get out of the tires! Now I do not take my truck and go out and get crazy in it but I do take it off road but I know my limits. There is a guy on you tube that just bought a 2006 f350 2wd dually and he is going to put a 6 in lift on his and his you tube channel is powerstoke pat so check him out!!

    Posting my results. 2000 Ford Excursion XLT 2WD 5.4L. Installed HD SSC Supercoils and Supreme Suspension 2" Delrin Coil Spacers. Positive Camber 6.5° drivers side and 6.6° passenger. Not sure if moog adjustable ball joint and the moog K80109 4° adjustable bushing would have have fixed it. I had to remove my coil spacers and had just under 4° so the K80109 got it in spec. But I needed a Dropped Pitman Arm due to steering binding and not returning to center. That was my result. Thank you again for the video.
