    your advice is excellent the first or second point about the coughing - my baby went to intensive care because of that and what you said is exactly what it was

    My baby Is 1 week old and still sounds mucus when should I be concerned? Also she pooped up to 4 times a day the first few days (she’s formula fed) but now at 9 days she isn’t pooping it’s going on day 2.. I’ve helped her with a thermometer and poop looks like a chewed gum

    My 4wk old has such bad bad acne and a tear duct issue on the left eye. Wish I seen this sooner, would’ve saved 2 trips to the pediatrician lol.

    My 4wk old will do a gasp or wheezy sound every once in a while usually while sleeping. No sign of distress just that one noise and continues to sleep. Is this normal?

    They have baby nail filers you know... and I think it's gross to bite their nails off. It's not good to kiss your baby so why bite their nails if they are gonna be touching their fave and mouth and getting germs on them...

    I have a gonna be 3 week old preemie baby boy and I'm a nervous wreck. I just want to know if everything that happens is normal, when he spits up and it comes out his nose is that normal, or his congestion noise and grunts when he sleeps. And the bubbles that come out of his mouth? I'm a first time mom can you tell

    • @BonnieWiscombe
      @BonnieWiscombe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh congrats! And it's totally normal to be crazy nervous - you and baby are gonna be fine. Everything you're describing is normal and I've seen all those things in at least one of my babies. Best of luck and have fun cuddling that sweet baby!

    My 1 week old tries to bang his head on my chest when really agitated and crying.

    • @BonnieWiscombe
      @BonnieWiscombe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this is just due to their lack of neck control at such an early age. They can be surprisingly strong when moving their heads around but then lose control and smack their heads on your chest! Just try to keep his head stable if he seems to be hurting himself

      Ok- update! I just had another baby and totally noticed this! I had forgotten that this happens in the first few days after birth as they learn to focus their eyes. I should include this in the description!

      Mine did this. He liked sleeping on his side better. He was not able to roll over to his belly. Eventually we gave up swaddling him and let him sleep on his side. He slept better that way.

    is foaming at mouth while sleeping normal?

    • @BonnieWiscombe
      @BonnieWiscombe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, to an extent! Since babies have fluid in their lungs before birth, it usually takes them a couple of days to expel all of it while they get used to breathing. This is why it’s helpful to have a bulb syringe around to help suction out any fluid that they seem to be having trouble with.

    A few things… As far as #3 I have actually seen a baby girl that had very swollen nipples and actually had tiny bits of “milk”. It was totally bizarre! Have you heard or seen this?
    Could you speak to the lower legs (shins) bowing a bit when they are born for a bit after birth? Two of my babies had this. The first time I panicked and I’m sure I’m not the only parent who has experienced this.
    And third… the clock behind you that doesn’t work makes my mild OCD crazy!! Hahaha!!
