Hardest thing I’ve ever done being a dad and I have to say mothers have it even harder most of the time. Worked 48-60 hours a week for 12 years in kitchens and I can honestly say it’s easier than being a parent. Hats off to every parent out there, single or not it’s a tough job but worth it 👌
@@quiara_playz9296 it’s hard work dude I’m being real. My daughter is almost 3 months old and it’s been tough so far but so rewarding she’s gorgeous 👌 takes up every bit of your time though
A father of 3 speaking here. DO NOT. and I mean DO NOT take this video as fact. Every child is different. There is no instruction book on how to raise babies for this very reason. There where things with my oldest child that would give me hints on what baby wanted, some of those didn't apply to my 2nd child, and then they didn't all work with my 3rd child. All three had different tells for different situations. YOU as a parent will figure out what your baby is trying to tell you over time. It may be hard at first, but it does get easier.
Tomanator of course every child is different, but this is an excellent place to start. The information in this video is actually great. I’m willing to bet that all of your children gave some variation of at least some of these without you realizing it.
When I was raising my daughter, I read a book. The simplest advice was, when your baby cries, you respond. Once you get there, then you can figure out what is wrong. And the more you respond when they cry, the more they trust you.
I'm an experienced mommy and Grandma. I think you guys should actually FOR REAL let people hear the different cries. Explaining them is a whole lot different than hearing them. You guys could show the differences because you are right. It doesn't matter what gender or race the child is. You clearly can tell what's going on by the cries. I think this video would've been the best had you actually let people hear genuine baby cries. I believe you know that as well. No disrespect meant. Thnx for the video.
I have to agree! Our daughter at 8 days old was incosoleable, we followed all the cues. And it was obviously a painful cry. She was full,no gas, temp was fine....and popped her first tooth at 8 days old. Hence the crying in pain. Neo natal teeth. Crazy thing to happen that we were unaware of. We had heard of natal teeth. Then she got an ear infection 2 days later. Both extremely uncommon for an 8 day old baby. So uncommon in fact when I took her to the Dr the argued she couldn't possibly have a tooth or ear infection yet....they soon apologized. Thankfully her neo natal teeth were rooted. Some arent and have to be extracted asap. But thought I'd share. I wondered if I had missed a type of cry and this wasn't my first born lol
My 8 week old almost always has his fists clenched, hungry or not.. If you think your baby isn’t doing what they “should be” keep in mind every one is different! If they are healthy happy and sleeping regularly then your baby is doing exactly what they should be doing!

FYI; I discovered with my new born son that infants have nightmares. So, when they cry in the middle of the night, for no reason, they just might have woken up and found themself in unfamiliar territory (cold & exposed). I found that if I picked up little Bandon, and if I laid down and placed him on my chest with his head against my heart, in contact with my body heat and exposed him to my rhythmic breathing, he would be closer to the familiarities of his last nine month , where he would instantly fall back asleep (back in his known comfort zone). Keeping your infant against you bare skin with your hand on their back, with their head on your left chest, being rocked by your breathing can soooo easaly comfort them. Just saying! D.
Oh yeah, my bb girl is 4 months and loves sleeping on my chest and even lulls to sleep when I bounce on an exercise ball because I was so active whileI was pregnant. She was always bumping around in my belly so it simulates that lol.
I have also experienced the same with my son. He is 22 days old and he sleeps comfortably on my chest having my one hand on his back. Babies are love 😍
To all the mommies to be congratulations❤ im a mommy to a 5 month old and its been quite a journey. My baby is a really calm baby he doesn't cry much but i guess its cause i already learned how he communicates his needs. To all the new mommies take your time spending one on one time with your little one so you can learn to tell what your baby is asking for cause this video is helpful but not all babies do the same things to let you know their needs
At 6 months I started to use sign language with my twins. By the time they were 8 months old, they could ask for milk, show me they were hungry or thirsty and if they were scared. It made such a big difference in communication. I wanted to know for sure what they wanted and I wanted them to tell me so I wouldn't have to guess. They are capable of learning signs early.
Great video I am from a child care background and have often experienced different cries. It is great to see someone out there sharing what they mean to new parents. Thank you for a great video.

Thank You So Much I don't have kids this is good info for my sister tho she's pregnant and she's having a baby boy and I have to let her know what her baby will need using their baby signs
Yup. All my kids (3 so far) that when they cried, I carried them and everything. They aren't tantrumy. Yes every so often they get upset and cry but they never actually threw a tantrum as babies. They stayed calm enough knowing I was coming.
Oh I could not ever let my baby cry themselves to sleep it would break my heart she always gets lots of cuddles and all her needs are met I would not let her cry it out I read that it's when they start crying and then they stop bcos you dont go to them it means they give up 😪😪
Anyone expecting a baby: you can never hold your baby too much when they're so young. They need that comfort and responding to them right away when they cry tells them that they can rely on you and really helps their development too. Remember: you can never give them too much attention, they need it.
I think most people know that. What gets difficult is being Johnny on the spot when they cry when you're truly sleep deprived and frustrated because you're forced to wake up to cries every 10 minutes through the entire night.
As a new mum of a 3 month old I'd like to say all this is accurate but as a parent you just know what your baby wants when they cry or make those baby sounds. There's no guide for babies but you just naturally learn it all

All the other stuff doesnt apply to my son. He always had his fist closed even while sleeping. Never rotated his head or arched his back.

Thanks for the information
We’re expecting our first. This video is helpful, I just wish it had more audio of the diff cries😕
Look up Oprah's video from like 10 years ago. Just search up "oprah, baby cry language"
Watching this with a 2 week old lol 😂 wish me luck tonight and every night.

@@KikiDarragh its not i have 4 month old and i cam tell u this isnt going to help u at all
I can guarantee you guys this is not fully true ! You’ll know when your baby is either hungry, full or bored... you got this guys. Right now it will seem like you can’t do it and you’re sleep deprived but it’ll get better soon.... my baby is 6 months but when he starts crawling/walking I’m going to go crazy 🤣😩
Feeling exited, my wife is 3 and half months pregnant. Pray for us🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Today morning I found out I m pregnant me and my family specially my hubby we are really very excited... Wish me luck so that I could have a graceful 9 month journey
How come this channel is so informative? Amazing!
My 5 week old eats his hands when he is tired too and keeps his fists clenched after a huge feed. All very confusing because every baby is different.
Awesome video
Thank You
I hope that they create a book from A-Z with full of definitions for the baby words 🤞🏻 in future
I wish I could hear the baby cries instead of seeing just the words.
I agree...
Type "Oprah and different baby cries" or something similar . It has a professional on the panel with practical sounds
Same
The TH-cam video: What’s the fuss? Also has the different cries
Hope more people can watch this video and really listen to the baby's needs.
As a former baby i can confirm that this is 100% accurate
Hahaha!
My baby is twenty days old and in these twenty days I realise what my mom and dad went through when I was a baby.
