I have been making all of these mistakes, but got to try your solutions on her this morning and they instantly worked. I really can't thank you enough, from the bottom of my heart.
Omg my mother in law kept waking the baby up when she came over because she thought the baby needed to get fed and wanted to play with the baby. I told her she shouldn't wake the baby up forcefully but she still went on and woke her up... Of course that night became a nightmare. Baby was fussy the entire night because she was awake for so long throughout the day 😐 Like I just don't understand why people wouldn't listen to the baby's parents. It's not like they're going to be responsible for the baby during the difficult moments.

I never woke my grandkids up when they were babies….that was the only time they weren’t screaming bloody murder! The oldest wasn’t bad, she only cried when she needed/wanted something. First time dad here…Such a great video! For me, I dont use a white noise or anything while baby sleeps so I can hear baby breathing. Granted, I am always quiet when baby sleeps. This may not be the case for everyone. But great tips!!!
My wife just asked me to search for this topic and this is just posted. How timely. I think we're making just about all of the new parent mistakes mentioned in this video. 🙃
I guess I'm doing something right. My 15 week old has been sleeping through the night, for the most part. We get ready and are in bed around 10:30. The earliest he wakes is 6 but often doesn't wake until 7 or 8. He has very clear sleep cues and he goes for naps in his crib, in close to the same environment as at night. It's very dark and we have an air purifier that makes great white noise. I got very lucky, he's such a good sleeper!
@@larissatorres8624 I let him sleep. He eats right before we go to sleep and then when he wakes up. Today he woke up at 6:30. He's a super happy baby so a lot of the time he'll let out a cute little scream like I'm ready for food now Mom! He eats every 2.5 - 3 hours during the day. When he was a newborn he would wake up every few hours but it got longer and longer as he got older. I double checked with the pediatrician at his last appointment and he said as long as he's gaining weight, let him sleep. 😀
I was figuring the same thing when my son was about that age and sleeping about 9-10 hours straight. (Score! Good sleeper!) Lately I've hit the 8-9 month regression. Oh boy! I hope things went better for you.
Learning about active sleep versus deep sleep changed how well my son slept. I used to run to hold him as soon as he made any noise at all. Now I give it a minute to see if he's actually waking up. He is a much happier baby lately.

Stop listening to People who say they know best, and start listening to yourself and your baby. And listen to this lady that strikes the nail on its head
Thanks for sharing! Off topic… your monstera looks like it needs more light and less water. Try moving her to a slightly sunnier spot (nothing too direct) and waiting a bit longer between waterings. 😊
Agree with all of these except the last one. My baby consistently has gone to bed for the night between 6.30 and 7.30 and wakes up for the day around 7 the next morning. She is 6weeks
This! Thank you! I thought I was crazy because I hear other moms talk about a 7/8pm bedtime and my son won't go to bed until 11/11:30pm, then he gives me a 4.5-5 hour stretch! So happy to hear this is normal.
Hi @Danielle G yep a late bedtime is very normal! So great he is having a long stretch at night - it makes the late bedtimes tolerable. Good news is the late bedtime will start to become earlier over the next few months.
@@jenniferreynolds1537 It's so hard! I did follow my son's lead and he naturally moved up his bedtime as he got older. He now goes to bed at 8pm at 9.5 months.
Ok, so what is up with you posting videos perfectly relevant to what I need to see every week?! Sitting, walking, sleeping, etc. Alway clutch with the perfectly timed videos haha.
This was very good and it’s still true even after 4 months. My baby still has her sleepy cues and as soon as I see her rubbing her eyes I start preparing her for bed.
This is ALL so ACCURATE! Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way 😅 my baby is now 5 weeks and I had to learn to not do all these things in order to get her to sleep 2-3 hours through the night without staying up for 4 hours at a time crying and waking herself up. Definitely take this advice
Thank you for that one. Now everything clicked and it makes perfect sense, I clearly know we let our daughter enter the overtiredness state. We'll be more watchful from now on, thanks to this knowledge.
Thanks for the video, unfortunately some of the these points including the ‘tiredness’ phase’ or tiredness signs stuff doesn’t really resolve a lot of the issues we’re facing. They also seem to conflict with advice around babies hungry signs. We recognise yawns, playing with ears and rubbing eyes etc as signs of tiredness, that and being super quiet and disinterested, but as soon as we put him down and within 2-5 mins later he’s fussy again. We let him wriggle around in the hope he’ll drop off to sleep, but he gets himself into such a tizzy. The cycle repeats
@@JennytheHamster We established that he was actually just hungry in the end. We switched to bottle feeding as unfortunately Mum wasn't producing enough milk. Once we moved to bottle feeds/formula it made a huge difference.
My 1st child I did so many of these mistakes. She was horrible at sleeping and I was extremely sleep deprived. My 2nd baby I have avoided almost all of these. And he is 100% better of a sleeper! These are life saving tips.
Some of these vary from baby to baby. Concerning early bedtime: without forcing him to sleep, after the first month I started giving him regular baths at 8:30 pm, then a feed and then bedtime. He would immediately fall asleep afterwards and sleep for at least 4 hours, followed by a quick feed and change and another 4 hour sleep. Worked out pretty good at night. Around 2 months he started sleeping for 5-6 hours after bath time, followed by 2-3 hours after that.
My son is doing the exact cycle right now and is 9 week old, goes to sleep at around 2030 sleep for 4 to 6 hours, up for 30 then back to sleep until between 0500 and 0700
Is it okay during winter season .because my baby just sleep for 5 minutes than starts crying .should I give bath to baby of 7 months during winter season
Having a half Thai baby and also living in Thailand, the crazy things I’ve heard from my wife’s parents say for home remedies is um... Well, let’s just say as an American they are a bit odd... To say the least. Thank god for TH-cam and your channel, I’ve watched a few of your videos and it’s nice to know I’ve picked up on a few things just on trial and error, but the sleep cues you mentioned make a whole lot of sense especially the staring off into the distance and pulling their ears/scratching their face as I’ve just fought getting my 6 week old daughter to bed for the better part of an hour. I thought the scratching her ears meant she was hungry or gassy, but now I know that it probably means she is tired. Thank you again
All of your videos are amazing but this one…THIS ONE is the ONE. people don’t tell you this before having a child. I was a nanny for 6 years with 5 kids and never even knew about awake windows!Life changing revelation. Thank you.
I am so glad I've watch your video it help me a lot to settle my 6 weeks old baby. I was having difficulties to sleep most of the time. If he sleeps, he wakes most of the time.
Omg this video is such a great help..all my family members were suggesting me to keep my baby awake all day so that she would sleep in night..somehow I knew that waking awake my daughter for whole day would definitely make her upset but didnt know that medical logic behind that ..now I know it..and before I used to think turning lights on while my baby sleep would not let her scared but now I know turning light dim would make her sleep more peacefully..thanks
hi emma, have always found your videos so helpful. please can you do a video for toddler sleep. my lo wakes up every two hours asking to feed throughout the night. Many thanks xx
New Dad over here and wow this was very helpful hahaha. Good luck to all parents out there. Please do not get overwhelmed with 0-8months babies. That doesn’t defined their future as toddlers
I had my first overtired baby experience today. He just turned 2 weeks old and despite keeping the same routine, he refused to sleep for about 6 hours straight. He wakes up from his sleep, we change his diaper, give him milk, burp him, then hold/cradle in a few different ways until he is nearly asleep. Then we put him to bed and up until now he has stayed asleep in bed until the next waking time (3 hours later). We have no TV on or any distracting things in the crib. Today he just kept staring at me when I was trying to get him to sleep and then after 15 minutes of him finally appearing asleep, I put him in bed and he immediately started crying and kicking wildly. After that he was miserable until about 8:30pm (he woke up about 2:30pm)
Sorry but 2 weeks old? There is no routine or they do whatever they want. Every day is different. Just try to follow your child these weeks instead of forcing something or expecting
Your channel is saving my life quite literally lol thank you so much for making these videos I’m a new mom and my baby is 2 weeks and it has been so hard! Thank you
Emma Hubbard can you make a video on techniques on *how to lay a baby* into their cot! So many parents, including me, struggle to get the baby down as they cry immediately when they know their going onto thier back and in.
Woohoo! This video just made me feel so confident! I finally started to ignore all the advice I was getting from family and friends about helping babies sleep & just went with my instincts/what I thought my baby boy wanted to do and it worked! Little did I know I was doing everything you mentioned in this video! :P (but only after he hit 3 months lol)
Your video is really helpful. Would you do one video about the sleep cycle of babies who are 6-12 mths? My son is 8 mo old, would love some sleeping tips.
2nd comment. The late bed time too. I just started realizing this last night. Was analyzing my baby tracker to get an idea for wake times and nap times. My baby girl is still averaging 30-40 minutes wake time(7 weeks but born 10 days early). And her naps get shorter until about 11oclock. Then it's 4 -5 hours of sleep then 3-3.5 hrs. Thanks for confirming that I wasn't going crazy.
Thank you for that last comment! With my first baby I stressed out so much because he wouldn't sleep before 10pm. Over time I saw that as he was awake longer during the the day, he went to sleep earlier at night. It was like every extra 15 minutes awake lead to a bed time that was 15mins earlier. Finally at around 5 months he started sleeping at around 6pm, it was like a light switch, boom, asleep. But no one ever said that it was normal! I needed to hear it was normal
Great video. Would love a video on getting a six plus babies to sleep better at night in their cot in a seperate room. Unfortunately I think my daughter has inherited my chronotype (I’m a NightOwl) 🤦🏻♀️
Yes please. My 10month old daughter doesn't sleep during night even if i make her sleep around 11pm she wakes up around 2am or 3am and doesn't sleep until 7am in the morning
@@nizwakhan2180 right!! Such a struggle for us parents staying up all night w backwards schedules lol. I have tried to change his schedule countless times now and still working on it!
Thank you! Struggling to figure this all out with my 3 week old!! 😬 Question - what is the difference between their daytime sleep and nightime sleep cycle? Should night sleeps be longer? But the baby doesn't know it's night, so why would he sleep longer? During the day, I weave in some "play" time between sleeps which I don't do at night. Is that really it? At night are we trying to just sleep-nurse-sleep-nurse?
Congratulations on the arrival of your little one! I have made a video on newborn sleep (th-cam.com/video/PCh1xWs9G-s/w-d-xo.html) and one on 7 newborn sleep tips (th-cam.com/video/SfCxUG1nE84/w-d-xo.html) which I think answers your questions. Hope that helps!
You saved my life! FIRST TIME MOM HERE, and I was rushing to put my 1 month old to sleep not understanding why she wanted to "stay up so late" lol. Now I know I've been doing everything backwards, so I'll be putting this to the test TONIGHT!! Thank you so much!
I LOVE how spot on your video is. I had to figure all of this out WITHOUT guidance, or a heads up lol but I made it through! This is very helpful to new mommy’s
Omg this video is super helpful...my newborn just turned one month and sleeps well throughout the night but in the day has a hard time going to sleep everytime I put him down he just shoots up after like 10 or 15 minutes. Any tips on how to prevent a newborn from wanting to be held during sleep or fall asleep on the boob?
Hey Bella! You just described my newborn too lol We found out that my newborn falls/stays asleep when we place him on his belly during the day. Maybe your baby will like it too. ☺️
Hi Bella, my newborn also wanted to be held at all times. At some point I started breastfeeding him while lying down. I waited untill he fell asleep to leave the room.
@@wendyliu1570 for me a baby carrier works best. baby sleeps close to my chest snd i have both arms free to do whatever needs to be done around the house :)
Seriously this is exactly the list i was discussing with my friend and then my husband of what i did not do with my first daughter and this time idk i think all this experience has helped me also being a bit busy with the toddler now has given my baby more time to rest without me interrupting. Having a routine with my toddler has helped so much. I think i learned everything here so late but now i have been doing Montessori i for the benefit of implementing it from the beginning
We have a 10 week old and been sleep training her for over a week. In just a few days we saw huge improvements. She sleeps 8-9 hours straight at night and wakes up for a feed and then goes back to sleep. We don’t rock her for hours anymore so my husband and I got our nights back. Naps are still tricky but its gotten so much easier putting her down. I just try to follow her wake windows and keep notes on her naps. I always put her to bed drowsy while awake. We share a room but it’s not a problem since we use blackout curtains and a sound machine.
How are you training her. My boy is two months since he past the Covid. He wakes up every half hour. Crying. Befor he wakes up two times. And now is every a half hour
Well doje for getting to this point. I have a newborn and want to sleep train as my 1st born has been a sleep challenge. What sleep training method did you use?
Thank you so much for this video and all of your other content! Do you have additional layers of tips for babies struggling with reflux after feeds/during sleep? ❤
We have reflux problem with our little one (4 weeks old). You can tilt her crib or elevate the mattress by 2-3 inches. Some of the cribs can be adjusted else put a paper folder (ordner) under mattress. That helped our baby. Also if you breast feed then please watch what you eat, as this also causes baby to have reflux issues. I hope that helps. And for better sleep - you can try white noise, my baby like this car noise th-cam.com/video/NOucdEMbhIk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sRP5FipP8IL0m66X
in my experience, they need warmth and touch ... Listening to mother's heartbeat also helps .after changing n feeding.. used to swaddle the baby , hold her and just hum softly and swing slightly or pat gently until she falls asleep fully and then put her on the crib .
Followed your advice, I helped my baby go to sleep whenever he looks tired during the day, however, I got different result.. he had shallow sleep during the night.. the past few days he had a very restful sleep except on that day..

Advice from a woman who has cared for numerous newborns(foster mother for new infants waiting for their adoptive parents) and now caring for grandchild #5. My newest grandchild behaves exactly as you have described your child; however, I hold her close to me while gently rocking/shushing until I feel her relax into a restful sleep. My little one’s body is very relaxed before I transfer her to her crib. If I don’t allow her to fall asleep in my arms, she will wake up screaming with anger, which takes up to 60 minutes calm her again. My granddaughter’s older sister was just like this too and by the older granddaughter was 7 months old, I no longer had to rock her to sleep. I hope this helps.
You've helped me so much with your videos (first time mum), both my baby and I are happy because of your many helpful tips 😊 I've recommended your channel to others too 👍🏾
Would love to have a video about sleeping tips for 4 months plus. Or even your thoughts on sleep training? My little one is almost 5 months old and i am just confused about the right sleeping for her.
Exactly, I thought this. She just falls asleep when I nurse her lol. Then she wakes, I change her, and it’s time to nurse again, then she sleeps again 🙃
Oh thank you!!! I’m currently trying to calm my overtired 2 week old. I do keep getting mixed advice on wether babies should be put in a dark room or stay out in a loud bright environment during the day. Also my baby nurses for 30 minutes so basically he has a 15 minute wake window before he needs to go back to sleep?
Thank you so much for the new video, always look forward to you sharing your knowledge and help, I learn so much! Keep up the fabulous work and sharing your knowledge!
Oh man 😂 my parents told me to keep the baby up during the day to fix her internal clock…. Man, those days were rough. Over tired babies don’t sleep well. 😂 I go off of her cues now. She used to wake up every 30 minutes-2 hours. When I switched to just going off of her cues it slowly improved… Started with 3-5 hour stretches. Now it’s around 7 hour stretches. Last night she had her first 11 hour night! She’s gonna be 3 months old on the 13th :)
@@Dokas80s No, I don’t. But I feel okay doing that because she is a good weight. She’s also just about 3 months now. When she wakes up she’s in a good mood and she has a big 7 oz bottle. And that’s good for her and it works for us so your baby might be different! But also during the first month I was definitely waking up every two or three hours with her to make sure she ate. Also my baby was/is very vocal when she has a need. When in doubt, you can totally check with the pediatrician 😄
I never had any issues getting my 2 boys to sleep when they were new born, but I see my sister in law make many of these mistakes. She relies on my niece falling asleep while driving or by fighting with an over tired baby until she gives in

Hello Emma! Such great information thank you so much 🙂 Do you have a recommendation for how long we should wait when baby starts fussing and crying before we pick them up if after a while they are not going back to sleep?
Our problem has been that when our 8 week old starts showing sleep cues, he gets mad when we take him to bed. We have to hold him and hope he goes to sleep, but too often he just keeps himself awake until the point of being overtired. Any advice on how to get him to be ok with being put down?

And listen to this lady that strikes the nail on its head
This is the best baby content channel on youtube! Thanks for your Work! Much love, lenny
Thank you for the amazing information! I made most of the mistakes on my new born baby😅 and it’s time to correct myself now.
Thanks for sharing!
Off topic… your monstera looks like it needs more light and less water. Try moving her to a slightly sunnier spot (nothing too direct) and waiting a bit longer between waterings. 😊
And probably a repotting into a slightly bigger pot with fresh compost. lol plant babies!
Agree with all of these except the last one. My baby consistently has gone to bed for the night between 6.30 and 7.30 and wakes up for the day around 7 the next morning. She is 6weeks
My too were similar but by 7 weeks of age.
You’re a rare exception.
This!
Same! I can sometimes get her to sleep around 10 pm, but she likes the 11 pm sleep time, which is hard when I have to wake up for work at 5:30 am!
@@jenniferreynolds1537 It's so hard! I did follow my son's lead and he naturally moved up his bedtime as he got older. He now goes to bed at 8pm at 9.5 months.
Think the lighting with a dark room and white noise is underrated. Made a huge difference to help baby regulate a good schedule.
Ok, so what is up with you posting videos perfectly relevant to what I need to see every week?! Sitting, walking, sleeping, etc. Alway clutch with the perfectly timed videos haha.
😂 So glad you're finding the videos helpful!
This was very good and it’s still true even after 4 months. My baby still has her sleepy cues and as soon as I see her rubbing her eyes I start preparing her for bed.
So pleased you liked this video. Also great that you have been able to pick up on your little ones' sleepy cues!
Same here! It is amazing how fast they fall sleep if you are aware of that signs and how difficult is to soothe them if you don’t ☺️
Congratulations!
I have a 5 week old too
Thank you for that one.
Hey, im facing this exact thing now with my 2 month old... any tips or tricks youve learned in the meantime? 🥲🥲
Going to give these a shot! First baby over here. Currently, just over 1 month old.
Thank you so much. Even I was following the “ keep the baby awake during day so that she sleeps well in the night “ . Will stop that from tomorrow
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing these tips. Will definitely try them with my new born.
- First time mum of a 3 week old struggling to sleep
Hi... Thanks for sharing this information... How long should i wait before picking the baby up if they start to cry while sleeping?
This is insightfully important for new fathers and mothers including me. I am very thankful for the free service provided here.
It's my pleasure!
Thanks thanks hugely, i have a two weeks baby and now we enjoy sleep at night in peace 🙏
That's so great to hear. Also huge congratulations on the birth of your little one!
My son is doing the exact cycle right now and is 9 week old, goes to sleep at around 2030 sleep for 4 to 6 hours, up for 30 then back to sleep until between 0500 and 0700
Did you bathe him everyday after a month ?
Yes. This worked out for me as well.
Thank you.
Hello Katelynn
How are you doing today?
Thanks, this is very educating.im a new mom i often make the mistakes of picking up my baby too soon when they are having a REM sleep.
Glad it was helpful!
I am so glad I've watch your video it help me a lot to settle my 6 weeks old baby. I was having difficulties to sleep most of the time. If he sleeps, he wakes most of the time.
Sleep was the most challenging part of becoming a new parent :)
Yes 😢
I wanna cry every night .
This, my baby is 10 weeks and I’m still deprived and I’m not back to work
I swear is drilling me, mine will stay awake 9pm till 3pm
Omg this video is such a great help..all my family members were suggesting me to keep my baby awake all day so that she would sleep in night..somehow I knew that waking awake my daughter for whole day would definitely make her upset but didnt know that medical logic behind that ..now I know it..and before I used to think turning lights on while my baby sleep would not let her scared but now I know turning light dim would make her sleep more peacefully..thanks
So glad I could help! Sounds like you are reading your little one well.
I've watched a few of these videos now - and I'm hooked.
hi emma, have always found your videos so helpful. please can you do a video for toddler sleep. my lo wakes up every two hours asking to feed throughout the night. Many thanks xx
Omg this I'd do helpful i am a first time mom and this tips ate great I'll implement them to my one month old baby
Hope it helps!
My baby is now 10 weeks old and actually been falling asleep for night at around 6-7pm, only in the first 2 weeks she was going to bed at around 8-9pm
OMGAWD the timing of you releasing this video is such a massive coincidence. Thank you 😊
You're so welcome!
So crazy! I’ve been struggling and even researching for help!
Thank you
Really thankful for ur video. My baby is 2 months old and struggling with sleep issues.
Hope this advice helps and you all get some rest!
Thank you so much.❤, I am new mom and this video really helps me alot
I'm so glad!
Emma Hubbard can you make a video on techniques on *how to lay a baby* into their cot! So many parents, including me, struggle to get the baby down as they cry immediately when they know their going onto thier back and in.
Great video indeed. I watched this yesterday and my baby slept better.
Thank you
Thank you for this. My baby os 3 months old and has erratic sleeping patterns. Sometimes he sleepa at 2am 😪🥺 this is really helpful. God bless.
I have picked few mistakes I make. Thanks for helping me correct them
Your video is really helpful. Would you do one video about the sleep cycle of babies who are 6-12 mths? My son is 8 mo old, would love some sleeping tips.
I second this!!
Yes please!!
Yes!!!
Pleaseee

Just woke up from my first night at home with my newborn. It did not go great. Excellent timing with this video! 🙃
Congratulations on the arrival of your little one! I hope this video helps in the first few months!
Really helpful,I am surprised that they work, please keep up the good guids they are helpful.
My babies didn’t keep me awake after they were two weeks old. They fed very well and slept. No colic. Yes, I do realize how lucky I was.
Thanks for sharing!!
No worries at all! Glad this video was helpful!
No baby book I ever read mentioned it, my girl is 8 weeks and doing the same.
⁰
LOL been struggling these past couple weeks with my baby’s sleepingg pattern. This video is what i needed!! 😂🧡
Great video.
Would love a video on getting a six plus babies to sleep better at night in their cot in a seperate room.
Unfortunately I think my daughter has inherited my chronotype (I’m a NightOwl) 🤦🏻♀️
Great suggestion! I will try to do this soon. Hope you get some sleep tonight!
I second this! And thank you for your videos 👍
Thank you so much!
Same here! For me, it was mommy instincts ☺️
Hey Bella! You just described my newborn too lol
We found out that my newborn falls/stays asleep when we place him on his belly during the day. Maybe your baby will like it too. ☺️
what you are describing is completely normal baby-behaviour. they wanna feel safe and near you.
Hi Bella, my newborn also wanted to be held at all times. At some point I started breastfeeding him while lying down. I waited untill he fell asleep to leave the room.
My newborn is exactly like this too, I haven’t found a solution, I’ve been holding her the whole nap a lot during the day
@@wendyliu1570 for me a baby carrier works best. baby sleeps close to my chest snd i have both arms free to do whatever needs to be done around the house :)
Highly appreciated , such an informative messages,, thank you.
Can you do a video for preemie baby? Mine is almost 2 months old but is 38weeks gestational age
Is there anything in particular you read/ followed for sleep training? Expecting and would love to start reading about it. thank you!!
How are u training her?
How are you training her. My boy is two months since he past the Covid. He wakes up every half hour. Crying. Befor he wakes up two times. And now is every a half hour
Well doje for getting to this point. I have a newborn and want to sleep train as my 1st born has been a sleep challenge. What sleep training method did you use?
Thank you for the video, could u please do a Video for helping 15 mon old to sleep and between nap transitions. Thank u
And for better sleep - you can try white noise, my baby like this car noise

I made all these mistakes in the beginning 🤦🏾♀️my poor baby was so sleep deprived for the first few months.
Hi @April T honestly don't stress as lots of parents make these mistakes. The beauty is they can be easily fixed.
Thank you so much for this, very informative
in my experience, they need warmth and touch ... Listening to mother's heartbeat also helps .after changing n feeding.. used to swaddle the baby , hold her and just hum softly and swing slightly or pat gently until she falls asleep fully and then put her on the crib .
Thanks so much for ur video just what I was looking for to show his dad bc he wants me to keep him up more durring the day but he's only 3 weeks old
I hope it helps!
Thanks a lot,I have a two months old baby and you have really helped me
You’re welcome 😊
Dear Emma, your videos are so super helpful!! Thank you so much 🙏

Can we talk about the fact that those 45 minutes they’re up literally is feeding, changing, and burping them 😂

Thanks for your videos, it really helps so much, great advices 😍😍
You are so welcome!
This was helpful, we’re going to try this starting tonight for our 7 week old. Out of those 6 we were doing 3 of those things. 😮
Good luck!!
Do you feed her on her 11 hour night? I’m scared my baby is going to starve while sleeping
Yup same experience with my newborn
I never had any issues getting my 2 boys to sleep when they were new born, but I see my sister in law make many of these mistakes. She relies on my niece falling asleep while driving or by fighting with an over tired baby until she gives in
Love your PDF! My little Eevee(evelynn) is 7 weeks old and it's peace of mind to know she's on track. I expected to much at the 1 month mark. Your videos have helped and taught me so much. So much anecdotal advice I've been given was wrong. My baby fusses less and smiles more. ^_^

Hello Emma!
Such great information thank you so much 🙂
Do you have a recommendation for how long we should wait when baby starts fussing and crying before we pick them up if after a while they are not going back to sleep?
Love the video, is there one for a 9 month baby?
Not yet - I will make one soon!
Please do one for 12 months +
Our problem has been that when our 8 week old starts showing sleep cues, he gets mad when we take him to bed. We have to hold him and hope he goes to sleep, but too often he just keeps himself awake until the point of being overtired. Any advice on how to get him to be ok with being put down?
My babies tired signs is rubbing his face in my chest rubbing his eyes yawning and being fussy. He’s been overtired a few times now that I’m watching this video. White noise app is amazing. I have it on my phone and he sleeps to the waterfall noise. New mom here learning as I go. Yes my baby’s bed time is usually 11:30 but he can go to bed about 10 hes 2 months old rn.
Water that plant. Also, good video I'll try to use this as new dad.

I needed this! My baby would here alot even dyring feeding and it concerned me but thrn i realized she would only do it when she was half asleep and tired. The rem sleep makes more sense to me mow thank you ! I was too quick to pick up my baby too and then wondered why she'd only nap for 10-20 mins and sleep for 2-3.5 hrs. Hopefully ill have a happier more well rested baby after this.
Also is there anything you can share aout babies sleeping with their eyes partially open ? Im sure its because shes tired too but iñl be mich better about letting her sleep now that i know all of this ! Thank you for debunking those old wives tales too
