    Great video! 🙂
    My blocks tend to pile up in my jaw, my neck, and on the back of my tongue. It's like those particular connections to my brain are glitchy or something. After a long day of blocks, my neck or jaw might ache or be sore, probably because I've been stressing those muscles too much. One thing I can always count on at the end of a bad speaking day, however, is exhaustion. When simply trying to speak wears you out, talking is the last thing you wanna do.

      There was a study several years ago that showed a connection between stuttering and blood flow in the brain. Basically the study showed that when someones stutters, the flow of blood to the the area of the brain responsible for speech production (i.e., the Broca's area) momentarily decreases. There was even a correlation between the severity of the block and how much the flow was being restricted. I find it very bizarre that no one is talking about this anymore. A google search only turns up articles from 5+ years ago.

      Do you know what's going on with this channel? Has it been abandoned?
      TH-cam channels about stuttering never seem to last very long. I wish I had found this channel sooner. The videos are fantastic.

      @@puerulus I have no idea what's going on. I used to watch Tea's channel. Then she got a job, got engaged, and bought a house, so she's not around anymore. StutterrGirl posts fairly frequently; I can recommend that one. But you're right, channels by stutterers for stutterers are very hit and miss.

      @@puerulus Experience and research have led me to believe that stuttering is basically neurological, with attendant psychological complications. At this point, though...even after centuries of investigating, it's still anyone's guess what exactly our malfunction is. 😀

    Hey
    I have the same situation as yours and I really feel your feeling
    But that's okay because it has a solution for it
    And the solution is practice and be patient , give yourself time to think and respond
    Dont rush yourself that much .
    And god will help you move on from it .

    Hey I like your video :) I totally get the lack of air thing. What I try to do all the time is the pausing and breath that you say; I think sometimes is better than forcing the sound. Do you know Vivian Sisskin? I think she is an amazing speech terapist. Her video Let's Talk About Struggle I think is great.

    I do feel out of breath too.... and it becomes like talking is such a strenuous thing to do. It takes much effort! And about the friction in the throat. I have experienced it too although it is not that painful but kind of tingles..... which is uncomfortable for me 😀

      Hi! I actually have a video similar to this. th-cam.com/video/mXt_uYEwSuw/w-d-xo.html I more so fidget when I am caught on a block rather than have tics but I have definitely heard of other stutterers who do tic while they stutter!

    I bet you do not display the same severity of stuttering when you are completely alone. There is a reason for this!
    Look, I have been cured from all mental conditions, I used to have bad anxiety, I prayed and God provided me this awesome mental health counselor at my college. The whole idea is acceptance. I used to not sleep because I tried so hard and wanted to sleep so bad, I used to stutter because I tried so hard and wanted to speak normally so bad. When the thoughts come of oh another sleepless night or oh I’m going to stutter, you don’t resist them! You “Don’t think-just be”, that is the response to every mental stumbling block! If a thought comes telling me I am going to stutter I “Don’t think-just be”. I won’t stutter. If it’s not working???? What do I do???? Well I always respond and follow, “Don’t think-just be”. You are accepting what you can’t control and the thought will pass you like a wave! I’m not joking with you, my life is a living testimony. I have been cured and I want to pass this wisdom along. Pray to the Lord to understand the simplicity of the above wisdom. I hope this helps

      Hi Tyler, that's really insightful and it seems you went through some life changing moment that helped you overcome your stuttering, would you like to talk about it? I'd appreciate a lot!

    • @tylerjohnson6658
      @tylerjohnson6658 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this tool is a mental health tool. Do you stutter the same when you are completely alone or is your stutter the same? If you don’t stutter the same when you are completely alone, you most likely have a MENTAL HEALTH problem. If you do stutter the exact same when you are completely alone than you probably have an actual SPEECH problem. So, what are your thoughts?

    • @noisyaz

      @@tylerjohnson6658 you clearly dont understand what stuttering is. It has nothing to do with mental health or anxiety.

    • @tylerjohnson6658
      @tylerjohnson6658 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My stuttering directly corresponded to my mental health. That’s why I asked if she stutters when she is completely alone or not? I didn’t stutter when I was completely alone because I was not anxious when I was completely alone, since I didn’t stutter when I was completely alone, I didn’t have a speech impediment, but rather a mental health issue causing me to stutter my words in the presence of other people.
