I have one and I actually like it, if you hook the usb c up to the computer your computer will see it as a sound output device, you can play music from your computer through your amp and play along with it that way. It sounds awesome. It does have some junk sounds, but it has some really good ones too.
That's sounds cool 😎 Thanks for letting me know
I use mine to practice, putting music through the tank via bluetooth and playing along
I have been seeing Tank G for a while. I've been researching videos about it. You're the first natural English speaking reviewer that I've found. Thank you!
Anytime 😎
Well - He mostly speak s English. It's Stang-lish, with a touch of Ohio Blackstar mud.
LOL Nice 🍻 😆
This pedal is sweet! Can't beat the price for what it is capable of doing! Purple rock's! Great video as always and please if you like his videos please like and subscribe! Show some love!
Hahahaha
I just bought one for $60 waiting for its arrival and now im super excited. Ive got the cuave multi effects pedal and its rad but this has it all yo. Killer vid bro and thanx for the demo
KEEP ROCKIN IN THE KINDA FREE WORLD 🤘
Killer! Man what a cool little rig... and it matched the purple Fake Reid Smith. I love em' both. Cool vid, Stang - as usual. Rock on, Brother!
Ha ha Thanks Man..😎🤘
This sounds great on distortion so solid and clean and its got a battery which charges up. Thank you sir.
🤘😎🍻
I watched this video Friday morning. As I pulled into work I decided to get one. It came before I got home from work Friday. Really had it not been for THIS video I wouldn't have even considered it. I hope you get a kickback buddy. I'm going to explore all the features today.
Need to look into affiliate links honestly
Try changing between two high gain presets in the middle of a song and tell me what happened...
These all-in-one pedals are great fun. I’ve been using my little old Cube Baby into a bluetooth speaker via the headphone out, into the aux socket on the speaker, and it makes a great little practice amp. What I did do was replace some of the original IRs with a Martin D28 and what was supposed to be a Fender Twin cabinet - and it became a lot more pleasant to use; I ended up with a fairly nice acoustic sound from my strat - which is good when I’m in a jam session and wish I’d brought an acoustic as well! And now I’m considering an upgrade….
😎🍻
18:00ish - cycling thru the amps somehow put the Tech 21 PSA I own on my mind, lol. What’s super-unique about that one as amp sims go, is you don’t press a button “here’s a Twin Reverb”, press the button again “here’s a Marshall Plexi”…although it does have defined presets you can use, but you can twist various knobs assigned to 3 different bands of amp character which gives you the ability to make your own amp, you can gradually morph from one amp sound into a different one, depending on what you have the low, mid and treble clean/distorted amp shaper knobs set as. And that’s before I’m even talking about the gain controls or the EQ. It has gain knobs for preamp, which is common, but there’s another knob for POWER SECTION distortion. Anyway, it’s one of the more fascinating amp sims out there. I’ve seen a couple of things on Temu which look like they may be clones of the PSA. Wouldn’t that open things way up, Lol.
I’m a beginner w a small amount of gear. Not many pedals. That looks like fun for a guy like me.
Thanks for the video
When I started in 1979 there was nothing like this at all. A distortion pedal was like $350 in today's dollars.
I would have loved to have had this gadget.
I'm not a beginner but let me tell you, if you have to go to a simple rehearsal with your band and you don't want to take a lot of stuff with you, this looks good
Solid review. Some of the amp/cabinet combinations sounded pretty good... and it's an inexpensive device, so most won't bash it for quality. Thanks for posting.
🍻👍
Great as always thank you 🙏 😊
Thanks for walking through it in detail! BTW: The promo discount link still works!
Nice
Cool color, I still like all those little singles.
Being purple makes me want it more!👍
Get your Barney jam on! :)
Me too, I have a Purple G&L Tribute Doheny on it way. Might have to try it, Temu has a number of different sizes of these
The fact you kept calling the reverbs “delays” and just kept rolling with it gets you a new subscriber… real demo by a real dude… I can dig it 👍🏻👍🏻😎
Thanks for the sub! That's it I mess up to much to keep redoing it LOL
@@Dave6SS I hear ya! There are way way WAY too many “sanitized” and “corporatized” guitar / guitar gear reviews on social media these days… and we never know if they are legit or not.
I watched a bunch of your vids last night and your style is perfect… actual gear reviews with just the right touch of comedy thrown in. Well done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words Bro 😎
Hey man I want to thank you so much for all your videos! I’m just starting my journey into guitar. I purchased a Sawtooth as I wanted something at the intermediate level. It will arrive Friday. Next I’ll have to save for this product and a cheap amp just so I can run into headphones. Keep rockin’ bro!
Anytime Bro..Glad I could help 😎🍻
@@Dave6SS well after talking with my doctor I decided to get a Donner starter strat kit, based on your recommendation. Just in case my body doesn’t like guitar…lol. A $700.00 dollar paper weight doesn’t make sense. I also found the same pedal on Temu but in like a teal blue for $55 branded differently, D-Wave. I’ll let you know is if its not the same thing.
I like it, i have a Roland Cube XL20, and live in an apartment, so i can't go crazy, but even though it has built in effects, it would be cool to have that little extra without needing a bunch of peddles and a board sitting around and all the extra costs
That bitey sim sound like Boston ! This unit it pretty cool for the price, good demo dude
Thanks Man 😎
Makes me want to do my strat build in anodized purple
I could grow to like it.
Sounds pretty good 👍
Kinda checks all my boxes.
Yeah and it's hard to tell what you can do with the software..Thanks for Watching 🤘😎🍻
@@Dave6SS you’re welcome bud good morning to ya.
I like it everything I heard .
For the money you can’t beat it and it sounds good, it’s got a nice band of fx and timing/speed.
I could definitely enjoy myself using it, I’m usually not in the pedals. I spent a fortune on them at one time now I just pretty much run it straight just getting all I can just out of the amps 😎
Great pedal for what its worth, reminds me a lot how a POD sounds or Line 6 amps
Seems fun. Especially for the studio or to practice with. Can’t see how practical it would be for live use. Seems scrolling through the presets would be a hindrance live. Love the purple though. The charging feature is a plus.
😎🤘
Interesting pedal. A lot going on for a cheap price. Rawk!
This is the M-Vave (formerly Cuvave) Tank-G with different branding. They do that a lot. I have been wanting one as it is next evolutionary step of the Cube Baby. Lots of non English reviews up, Not super helpful to me. Ehrosmith is the guy who knows the most about these.
It's actually different. Look at them
Just stopping by, dig your channel. Kind of a Red Green lodge vibe! BTW, I also like to say FLANG-er! 😜
🤣🤣😎🤘
Im sold on this. I usually play headphone, and amp just don’t fit me. Love it for the price too!
I have the Mini Universe, also from M-Vave. One of my favorite pedals! Keep rocking man!🤘🏽
😎🍻🤘
Have You tried the mini amp?
Looks like it will work out great for practice and only 80 bucks. I just might have to try one 🤔🎸🤘🤘🤘
🤘😎🍻
So it's sounds like it's great for hard rock and heavy metal...not so much for clean tones.....it has clean tones but the over driven tones seem to be where it shines .... thanks for the content good demo 😎👍🏼
Got by for a long time with just a chorus and flanger. Then I got my first decent amp. I bought a Boss Katana MkII 2x12 100w. Has a bunch of built ins, and will blow the curtains through a closed window!😂
Lol same with my Blackstar id260tvp series 😅
It’s remarkable how much the digital & solid-state guitar-gear has evolved over the past decade or so.
Even an inexpensive little unit like this has a lot of usable sounds.
It does..the software may change some of the tones..ya never know 🤘😎
A buddy gave me an enclosure that was of similar size/shape, and inspired a similar build. Very light. It's all a combination of individual PCBs and perfboard builds, but it has:
- preamp/tone controls
- modified Dynacomp
- modified TS-808
- modified Shin-Ei FY-2 fuzz
- modified EHX Dr. Q
- EHX Pulsar
- modified MXR Phase 90
- basic PT2399 delay
Order is fixed, but any number of effects can be engaged at once. Because there's eight things, that's a lot to keep track of, so I used different-coloured status LEDs to help with that. Runs off external +9V power. I'm envious of having internal rechargeable supply., but NOT having it is not a great hardship. Probably cost me about $80 in parts, but a *whole* lotta labour and time.
is this THE MARK HAMMER !! ?? 🎶🎸🔌❤❤
If it is THE Mark Hammer, my Line 6 POD HD500 needs some serious psychoanalysis. 😂👍
@@iLightSoundGeometry *THE* Mark Hammer? Well I'm not as famous as the other ones, like the actor, the biology prof, and the software guy, but if you mean the guy who has been posting about pedals for years, yes.
And John, I have my doubts about whether psychoanalysis would benefit your POD HD500. I would lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy...or maybe just a firmware upgrade.
@@markhammer643 i think youre thinking of mark hammil lol .. well you are a legend to anyone who started up in electronics, got stuck along the way and needed help .. I havent been on DIY stompbox in years , probably since covid ..4-5 years now ..hope youre doing well
@@iLightSoundGeometry Doing great, thanks. Never been as healthy as since I retired and didn't have to ride the packed commuter bus with all those folks who couldn't keep their snot to themselves. Thanks for the nod of appreciation. Not much of a designer or player, but I'm a patient explainer, and people appreciate that. I appreciate that they value that. I was very pleasantly surprised when I attended NAMM in 2018, and all these folks, who I respected, knew me.
Never came across another Hammer, let alone another Mark Hammer, for my first 60 years. But a simple Google search reveals many very accomplished people with the same name.
Love it 🎸 so cool man 👍🏼 won't one 😂 from new Zealand 🌏.
10:40 tremlo is what i would call it or a phaser almost but needed some fizz to it for phaser-ness lol
Amazing product. Great video. You say I can save 15% by buying 1 from you. I'd like to do that
At the time of the video there was a 15% clip and save Coupon..
Dont know if it's still available at this time
I need one! It's small easier to carry! " I heard that before?" Small easy to carry??? Where have I heard that?? 😂😂😂Thanks 🤘 😊
🤣🤣
you should review its profiling capabilities they are sic
how to see what percentage of battery is left?

Mine arrived like 5 minutes ago haven’t tried it yet I’ll let ya know.
I’m going to get one
It's pretty cool..im sure the software makes it even better 🤘😎
Can this be plugged directly into an amp like any other kind of effect? Great video. Thanks.
Yes it can
@@Dave6SS Appreciate the reply back.
Good video.
Thanks man..there's alot more to it..just touched the easier stuff right out of the box..Lol not very techy
I had one of these for a couple days and promptly returned it.Lettering was so small. You couldn't read i 1t
Very intereting, wondering if the instucton manul is easy to follow and lays out the controls clearly.
With PEDDELS on the floor I am too old to bend over to adjust and or clumsy to pick up change and set back down, and this type with finger control,
Can you connect a control peddle to this?
Was that question clear or distorted?
How is the purple Volgoa doing? Mine is stll in the box yet. Is it a keeper like the Fesley?
The directions are simple to the intelligent type I guess..kind hard for me to figure out..Purple Volgoa is definitely a keeper
Nice petal, up here in the north Canada this peta l sells for $125, too bad
Leslie rotating speaker
Purple reminds me of grimace from Mc donalds

@@Dave6SS Thank you for the Awesome Videos.
Definitely took a page from the Tech 21 Fly Rig
I wonder if one could use it for vocals, plugging a mike into the input.
Good question..probably could
Yes and it's f*ckin amazing sounding once you dial it in fer want yant
The third mod is indeed tremolo.
😂😂 Thanks my Brain wasn't working at the time
Tank G for bass ?
Putting together a complete rig for my niece and trying not to break the bank... Got an 82' American Fender Bullet S3 deluxe and a nice Marshall 50w amp. This is exactly what I was looking for in a pedal... Lots of usable options to get her started. Just ordered it from Amazon. 🙌🏻 Thanks.
Nice..Best of Luck to your Niece..Glad I could help 😎👍
Thank you for the video. I was hesitant to order one but now I’m going to order one.
It does a little more than I displayed on the video..hope you like it..Thanks for Watching 😎🤘
I heard a lot of usable dirts and lead tones, but imo some the others... are kinda disappointing because they still sounded more or less the same as the cubebaby version (which is the precursor of this tank-g)
still, they are not too expensive, which is always a plus
Agreed.. May do a follow-up video hooked it up differently. Sounded slightly better.. And in the video I failed to use the cab. Sims through most of the video
I have watched all your videos on the Tank-G and was looking on Amazon for it and found two (seemingly identical) units. The purple 'Playwell' unit that you have for $79 and a green unit made by M-Vave (The latter being approx $88). The only difference there seems to be is the color and brand name. Do you have any info on the green M-Vave unit and which one would you reccommend purchasing? Thanks for your info!
Update....I have read that they are the same company. That would explain why the units are identical. 🤔
Does the cab sim work on the 1/4 out? Probably not going to use the headphone output at a live gig .
It does have the 1/4 output..also xlr out
@@Dave6SS yes, does the IR work on the 1/4 output ?
One question that bothers me about these mooer radar type units is can it be played on a a standard rig (through and amp and cab) or does this have to go into a computer to use it? (studio mode).
Good question..Never thought to run it thru an amp..probably could..it has a 1/4 out..it would be interesting to hear what that sounds like
Straight into the Amp Effects Loop Return. Keep in mind that the pedal will control the amp volume.
I don't even play the guitar but I'm gonna get one of these because of the color and girls like that color and it will make me look sophisticated having one' when the girls ask' what is that?it looks sophisticated!!!
I will explain everything you said in this video to them' then they will want to hear me play and they will keep coming back until I get a guitar.
🤣🤣🤣
Just a sidenote, you can now change your existing amps on this unit via profiling. Something your 200$ budget aio can't do.
Nice 🤘😎 Thanks for the info
Kinda sounds like the old Crate amps
Yeah kinda does
@6 Stringstranger whàt kid of guitar that? I can't read it on the headstock.
Volgoa vrs 1983..did a Video of it out a few weeks..check it out
Does the usb, while connected to the computer, tell you what the cabs are??
Not sure..never hooked it up to the computer..but the instructions have a list of the simulated cabs and amps in it
All that functionality at that price...id be concerned with the robustness of the physical build...afraid to gig with it. I like being able to take my sound designs with me to different locations without worry.
I get it..im not a computer type person..its hard to retell what all you can do with the software..Thanks for Watching 🍻😎
😮You get what you pay for! It's a good deal for the price ! 😮
Great video!! New subscriber here.
Thanks for Watching..and welcome to the Channel 🍻
You are going to LOVE this channel. Dave is a hoot, and a lot of fun. All sorts of fun gear to check out.
Thanks for the Kind words 😎
Yes, purple, purple, purple all day long
How many saved configurations does it allow?
Lol don't really know It's kind of a confusing unit..Im guessing 9 total
What do you so many different sounds for? A little distortion, chorus, and delay is all you need for most basic playing. kiss
LOL Idk..I was trying it for the 1st time..guess time got away from me..😎
That was a Leslie rotating simulator, that you couldn't remember.
🤘😎🍻
Can I go from output to my Marshall amp?
Absolutely..just did a little bit ago..sounds even better the the video..Lol may have to do a short follow up Now LOL
Thank you! Just ordered one.
Is it ok to just run it from the wall plug, i don't like rechargeable stuff
That's how you charge the unit Is from the wall... I'm sure you could use it that way if you would like to.
Killer. I’m a sell my Amps and gear and pick 2 up. Awesome Bees 🐝 🐝 🐝 in a jar 🫙 tone. Crushing.
Buzz Buz
Hey man, rolling through amp models without using a cab sim is pretty counter intuitive and I think a disservice to the pedal. Are you running the pedal directly into a mixer/interface for this demo? I think the harsh/fizziness we're hearing is because there is no cab sim after the amp model. When you had the cab sims on, everything got immediately better. You don't play a real amp without a cabinet so why demo an amp model without a cab simulation?
I ran the unit directly into the camera.. L o l not much on this type of thing, honestly.. You're right. I should have spent more time on the cab Sim end of it.. LOL that's why I try to stay away from these type of things. I really need to get updated into this technological world.. Thanks for watching bro no hard feelings.
@@Dave6SS All good man, sorry if I came off a little harsh. It's crazy how affordable some of these digital multi fx are and can actually deliverable some killer sounds.
No worries Bro..yeah it is crazy 😎🍻
Yes, it's tremolo.
I thought the brand is supposed to be M-Vave? interesting
Yeah..it's weird
The reverb sounds modulated. It's coming in slightly below tune. I do NOT like that! Maybe it's the setting ?
What is an IR cab?
Impulse Response
What you are calling a flanger is more phase shifter.
They should have added a looper to it
i slapped subscribe the moment i saw six string stranger
Lol Thanks.. there is no R in the Stanger
Where can i get a guitar like yours?
Amazon its a Volgoa VRS 1983..just did a vid on it before this one..pretty nice
hope those footswitch wont broke after 1 week. like most cheap pedals :(
Time will tell..its solid steel construction but ya never know
Will it power a speaker?
It has a line out..it should

Wow 80 bucks nice 👍
Not bad really..May do a follow up vid soon
The AMP/CAB sounds are really not great to my hears except the clean.
Not crazy about all of them myself.. There are a couple of them that I do like.. However, when you hook it up to the computer, I think you can adjust other parameters and make it sound better
Chapters lol Always going to be complaining people. What are your main pedals you use? I need more verses now too many chapters!
Lol..gotta break it down so people can see what they want..as far as pedals my current amp that I have used for about 13 years has every effect you would ever want and sounds Amazing..so currently I really don't even have a pedal board. But I love to play around with pedals and try them out..the only pedal I do use from time to time would be the Digitech Drop pedal
Phazer
All that for under $100? Not too bad for someone starting out or on a tight budget.
Yeah and who knows what the softwares capabilities are..Thanks for Watching Bro
Nice, Tank-G , who makes it?
Says Playwell on the unit..but got it thru Leo Jaymz
M-VAVE
I’m leaning towards the new Mooer S1 pedal, I owned the Cuvave Cube Baby and the preamps are trash, it’s are trash, effects…. Trash. As a seasoned guitarist I could Make it work but wtf Man. It was only 30 bucks though. If I had to pick, I would grab the Cube Sugar or the Mini amp and efx to fit on My board and into My fave IRs without headache. They had to have upgraded it a little right? I mean beside cosmetics
There probably is a place for a firmware update or something with the software..hard to tell
Heck of a deal for 80.00 $
😎🤘🍻
@@Dave6SS RightOn 😎☕️
I like it and all the choices. And for $80 you’ll spend that on just one pedal or more.
Brother you have a good day your way, have a great weekend .

Even if I were good enough, I wouldn’t be a “chicken picker” either, Ugh. It floors me that there’s still country music, in the year 2024..? I would have assumed that would have been “futured out” long before 1990, even. I definitely did NOT get the “future” I was promised all during the 60s and 70s in school; I want my money back.
Sorry, that got me going, lmao.
Good demo, looks to be a pretty excellent stompbox deluxe, esp for 80 bucks. The dirt and effect stompboxes I’ve ordered off Temu over the past couple of years have surprised me every time. 20 or $30, for stuff that I swear is right up there with Boss or MXR. I don’t even know how that’s possible, but the prices you can get great gear for now makes me a happy muh fuh.
Yeah it is a weird future we are in for sure 🤘😎
Well, its no Mesa Mark VII, but it also doesn't cost $4,000.
🤣🤣
I personally like alotta effects on my vocals, but that's prob cuz i suck at singin lol
Sounds like a fuzz pedal with chorus ….yawn 😴 has a flanger and yet no Eddy sound but great great review
Ha ha I wish I could play at least 5% of what he could 🤣🤣
Just in time lol
