Lee forgot to mention that it has 36 slots for presets, a phone and computer app and now you can make your own amp and pedal profiles and save them in the unit. Plus if you update the pedal withbthe latest firmware solves the issue with the gate being slow.

I ordered one yesterday after seeing this video and just got my Tank G two hours ago( I really love Amazon next day delivery!!) and damn for the cost of a guitar Pedal this unit is excellent! You have to judge it for what it really is and not compare it to things like a Quad cortex, or Helix stomp. I mean C'mon for $80 to my door I can use this thing as a practice rig and get some great tones and not disturb a soul at 2:00 in the morning! Who cares if it does not have the best verbs and delays. The basic tones are there for me to jam out. Not disappointed at all with this purchase!

I take on board Paul's "If you had given me this when I was 15" thing with this pedal, and it is a really good price - even if over £80 today on Amazon UK - but someone else pointed out, the time you waste arsing around with these things to get the "perfect sound" (I have the Tonex and Headrush MX5 - I have form in this mad world lol) can see your entire night gone when you could have just been playing the bloody guitar :) I would definitely recommend this to someone starting out wanting an all in one reasonably priced unit though. If you're young and not used to the "old ways" of pedals and amps and knobs, then this could be a great starting point into the future of digital guitar effects and IRs. Also headphones so your Mum doesn't shout at you while you rock is cool.

have you seen toneX one, the mini toneX ? it will be better than this one, but if you stick with the old way, more switchs, more buttons, this one will be the best choice i think.

  • @SteveLedger
    @SteveLedger 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Some of these have a flaw that can result in failure or fire. The battery sits under the PCB which is under one of the stomp switches. Constant stomping on the switch can cause the sharp component wire ends protruding from the underside of the PCB to pierce the Lithium battery. The fix is to snip of any sharp excess, file smooth and add some cushioning. There's a TH-cam vide showing this, search for 'URGENT WARNING: TANK-G CAN BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!'.

Honestly, this thing is a complete no-brainer just as gig insurance, and a practice tool. Is it going to be as good as your primary rig for these purposes? No… but it might just save your bacon in the case of your rig going down on the gig. And the Bluetooth receiver function is killer for practice purposes.
I’ve got the predecessor unit to this one (the Cube Baby). It’s great for the purposes outlined above, but I have two gripes with the unit. One, the tuner only works for standard tuning… no love for us Eb players; Two, manageable, but nonetheless slightly noticeable, latency. I wonder if they’ve addressed those issues in the Tank G…

It's getting to a place with a lot of these things that you're pretty hard pressed to be spending 4, 500 or more for these premium things when this stuff can get so close. Guitars, basses...it's amazing how good you can sound with such little expense. And particularly so if your not trying to reach the rock n roll HOF.

This might not be the top pedalboard one might drool about but ...and when I say "but" something has for sure clicked in my head while you were playing ...the clean sound might not be a superb one but the crunch sound and above are decent enough for a credible perfomance. I decided that I'll give it a try as my go-on-holidays pedalboard and then I'll find out myself whether it's gold or ....crap 🙂

    Two points.
First, effects manufacturers are listening. People wanted an XLR out and they got it.
Second, I will not buy something from China with a rechargeable battery. they can explode. If the battery could be removed and disposed of I would get one.

Amazing pedal. They say you can add pedals but when I added an equalizer, I blew it up. Replacing the unit but will not add onto it. Stand alone only.

Using tank g’s Stock Ir is not the best thing to use this unit, loading your own IR transform the to better sounding pedal

good enough for rock n roll these modern day guitar players have become primadonnas, I can't use anything unless I spend $2800 on it. I think $69 is exactly what rock n roll calls for, just play the shit out of it

65 quid is 884 Sek but they take 1340 Sek or in quid 98,5
    65£ in GB
    98£ in Swe.
    That piss me off.
    Its a toy goddamit.

I recently clicked buy it now for a Laney LC30, that the guy had bundled with a dreadful starter guitar and an M-Vave acoustic pedal. The amp's a keeper, and after setting up the guitar I sold it. Now, the M-Vave thing: I turned it on, and attempted to fathom out the controls, instruction sheet, and menus; but really, I couldn't be bothered learning new stuff, so I packed it back up and sold it on eBay. It's getting to be the same whenever I see new gear: what will I gain by going through the learning process? Nine times out of ten, my current gear is perfectly good.
