NEW VIDEOS EVERY WEEK!!
Been watching this guy for a long time. What a great attitude! Every time it makes me walk over and play guitar even for just a minute. Inspiration doesn’t get much more organic than that. Music is contagious and a day changer when I’m in a rut.
Nathaniel can make any guitar in that beautiful shop sound amazing. I love the vintage stuff, but truth be told, when he's playing, I don't care what it is. He's one of the most talented and versatile players on the whole of YT. What a treasure to our fair city. Cheers Team CME and thanks Nathaniel. You play so good, I never want to pick up one of my guitars again. LOL
@@TheRange7 Thank you!! Too kind ♥️
He can?? Please share that video cuz I'm not seeing it
Troll @@Hellyaman
He’s unreal hey
@@Hellyaman what would you rate Nathaniel’s playing 1-10? It’s for a survey.
Give him a pay rise CME!
The people have spoken!
@@chicagomusicexchange Give him guitars...
Holy Moses that "Saw Her Standing There" lick... Amazing!!!!
Mate……… SO good to hear some absolutely stellar guitar playing. Beautiful work. Such a change to hear someone playing guitar WITHOUT OVERDRIVE shredding all over the place. Fabulous sir.
The Rosewood Tele is approximately 0.73214286
stone😅
I've never thought that rosewood teles sound very good and neither did George.
CME looks like a dream guitar shop to me🎸
Nathaniel is a fabulous player and his accent is to die for. I saw his interview with Rick Beato so he’s obviously a good salesman as well.
Great, great, wonderful, marvellous, fantastic, awesome, brilliant, unbelievable...what a guitarist.
Thanks for watching! 🤘
That take on All My Loving was worth the video, goosebumps! Great playing, great guitars!
Shoutout to Geoff - Great dude and salesman
Geoff!!
Give him a raise!
So many thumbs up for this man !! 🇨🇦🏍️
Is there any kind of music Nathaniel Murphy can't play? I love his use of harmonics.
Yes! Kettle was on and cup of tea ready as soon as I saw this episode up! More Geoff!!! Legend….sold me too many guitars 😅
Dang !!!! The boy it’s awesome
Show is spotless. Need more. Wicked playing. I hope to see you play some Jazzmasters. I never cared for them until I played some good ones and now I’m hooked.
That ‘71 Tele sounds great.
Nice to see Geoff in a video...great all around guy! Nathaniel is a'ight too, I guess Lol
Great chops !
Those O.G. Sheraton’s are overlooked. Sorely under represented.
Love hearing a Manc voice, and top playing as always!
Next time: Nathaniel picks what he thinks is the prettiest guitar, a guitar he's never tried/heard of, guitar he'd hide from the boss.
We were hoping someone would notice! lol
Incredible playing
That slide playing inspired me holy damn. Want to start a petition for him to own that sg😏
Mate, I can't believe you began with Wish Upon - Respect.
If I owned any or all of them I'd give them away to be able to play like that. I've been at it since March of '67 and my arthritic old hands are on their way out. I thoroughly enjoy watching you play, thank you.
11.45 passing up a chance to do Jesus Just Left Chicago - the right guitar in the right tuning, I think. Fantastic playing as always, and a fab video NM.
Oh man, the '71 Tele with the Humbucker and the '62 SG are pure guitar heaven.
great playing ... 4 stones for the Tele..
Bought a 1968 Gibson SG Special at CME back in 2013 and took it with me to Germany. Still love the guitar.
Love to hear that!!
The strat with the secret sauce switch was awesome once engaged. Great picking!
Thanks for watching! What do you want to see in the next episode?
@@chicagomusicexchange vintage jazzmaster or jaguar. thanks!
@@rhwaddell can definitely do that! 🤘
Just love these music videos the great music playing and the nice to check things out in Chicago music store
Love that 68 ES 335. Fantastic playing. I’ll be visiting CME tomorrow!
Hey, Nathaniel, have you ever played a 1960’s Stradavox (Italian made ES 335 copy)?
You’ll have your chance if you’re at the shop tomorrow!😊
Brilliant playing. Absolutely excellent. Great lad too.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🤘
12:46 Nathaniel is HUMAN!!!
Sure, that bumps me down to single-cell organism, but... HUMAN!!!
Price not involved…1. Strat!!! 2nd 71 tele!
If I can only play like Nathaniel, any would do! Thanks for these. Keep ‘em coming. How about a long neck es 330 from late 70’s. I have one and can’t put it down…and it was a second. I’ll be damned to figure out why. ✌️❤️
You are indubitably a phenomenal guitarist. Next time can we hear you play some delta blues and hard visceral rock please.
No blues. That would be a waste of his talent 😂.
ANY moron can play blues.
Dude!!!!! Awesome playing
Idk what sounds better. Hearing his voice so much or the guitars 😮
Wow what a great player he is
My 1961 Les Paul sideways vibrola stats in tune and I use the vibrola all the time. Not heavy bends but for shimmery effect
Nathaniel, I was in the store last Tuesday by appointment. Was visiting from Nashville. Was hoping to see you. Jett said he didn't hear your British accent around that morning lol. Hope he gave you what I left with him for you. Hoping to buy a new toy from the store next year perhaps.
Your an inspiration. Love to hear you play
CME never let go of this treasure commonly refered to as Nathaniel 🙏🇨🇦🏍️
I am still trying to get why he is working in a MUSIC STORE! He is probably one of the best guitarists on the TUbers. It is really crazy. At least pay him for what he is worth.LOL
All sounded amazing, right on 👊😎
🤘🤘
What a player you are Nathaniel. I’d pick the 71 Tele.
good pick!!
Never liked the SG shape but just played a 1960 !!! SG Les Paul Standard - 2 PAFs …..and I might be tempted
I’m gonna go with .75 stone on the Tele
Love videos like this, thank you😊
Thank you!! 🤘🤘
The only thing i have to say is nathaniel is the kind of guy who totally could move up in the world and not have bosses, but i think he just doesn’t give a fook 😂
Give that purple flames one behind you a go!
Amazing guitars and player! We want more!
Good stuff on the way!!
love your palying.... can't afford any of those great guitars.....
Mayo’s finest 🟩🟥 :) 👍
I appreciate you giving the price !
🤘🤘
Yet another great video Nate! They are all great guitar and yes, it is hard to pick. I think the Selmer is now more like Fiesta PINK. 😁 I would tend to agree with you and grab the Rosewood tele as well, if I had that kind of money of course. Great touch on the Dire Straits song by the way. Can't wait for the next one. Your living the dream!!
Thank you!!! 🤘🤘
Rosewood Tele. Love it
🤘🤘
I’d love to hear the Gibson RD Artist, especially if it has the moog electronics
Love this series! Would love to see the Flying V from 1:18 next time
👀 might be able to make that happen!
This guy what planet did you kidnap him from planet spectacula😮r wow amazing.I know why he is there he could make a $29.99 guitar at Walmart sound like a $20,000 vintage guitar.I am very impressed with your store. The look of the lighting and the displays and the great selection of inventory that you carry.I had to laugh when he said like he would ever be able to afford one.If anybody would deserve to own a guitar of this caliper I would say it would be him with his talent.
I wish I could “butcher” Knofler like that. Awesome video loved that Strat though! Sounds amazing!
I think Happiness is a Warm Gun would be a good one in Nathaniel’s style
Fantastic guitars and Nathaniel is a helluva player 🎸Out of my price range ( and Nat’s too ) and wrong side of the pond 🤣
I reckon the rosewood tele is round about .732 stone
If I was a TV producer. I would make this a twice-a-week SHOW! Fri and Sar. nights!
We plan to do one a month for now but you all really like this series so we may have to do more!!
@@chicagomusicexchange That is a lot of songs for Nathanial to learn. Maybe he could Hummm a few! I can't wait to see more!
Selmer strat for me and dang can you play!!!!! wow
I bet he can't play as good as the Toodster !
@@benallmark9671 hehe....I bet he plays circles around the Toodster! in fact I know he does!!! lol how are ya Ben?
@@ToddTheJoker lol. Ya he’s something isn’t he. I’m good Todd , thanks for asking. Cheers brother. Hope you’re well.
Genius
Nathaniel should be touring!
I'll take the Gibson RD Artist tri-burst in the background. 💯
Hey guys - I'm guessing that maple tele is 0.49 stone, and being British too - lets call it half a stone. Incredible playing as per. Keep up the good work lads
Thanks for watching!! 🤘🤘
.70 stone is my guess!
I think that I noticed a Mike McCready signature Strat in there. Wanted to see how it sounds. I believe it’s the highest priced Made in Mexico Fender so far. Yeah, would be nice to see how it compares with its US made brothers.
Please demo the Gretsch Billy Bo shown at 3:56
Can do! We have a lot of awesome videos on those guitars if you haven't seen them yet!
would love to see a comparison between vintage firebird and new epiphone firebird
Gibson needs to hookup Nathaniel with a Custom shop SG or something it’s a crime a player of his caliber doesn’t own one. There would be no better ambassador for the brand.
8:15 I need tabs for that arrangment of In My Life!!!!!
I'm guessing 0.071 english stone - also, keep the vids comming
Can do!
Please play the vintage Epiphone Sheraton on your next video. Thank you
You should highlight some of the less common or independent builders. Give them a new audience!
We will absolutely do an episode on boutique guitars!
6:00 that tele weighs .73 stone 👀
It’s heftyyy! lol
@@chicagomusicexchange I cheated and looked on the website. 😄
Manchester Nate?
I was gonna guess 10.6 for the tele 😔
Tele is 10.5 lbs or .75 stone. My guess lol.
0.732 stone
I don’t know his situation but if ya’ll not paying this man enough or at least providing him a substantial enough discount to be able to purchase one of these beautiful instruments for his own should be considered a travesty. I know the industry can be tough but get one of these in this man’s personal collection pronto! This cat is basically CME’s brand ambassador, do better.
He was just being cheeky. Check out this video of the store buying him a Gibson Custom Shop Noel Gallagher J-150, 1 of 200 - th-cam.com/video/jCMSNq-NujY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9oAsqRdvSKtTXp7t
Employee discount is one of the best parts of the job!
My guess is .75 stone
If “Jeff” went with the rosewood tele he could sell it, buy the ‘71 and take it to an island and make “nathaniel” really jealous
Candy episode peachy life.
What settings on the champ??
PS: Amazing playing as always.
I believe EQ was right in the middle for all of these.
What was the SG tuned to? 😮
Open G I believe 🤘🤘
Something is buzzing
I want that '71 Tele. Could you put me on a 24 year payment plan??
Late 60’s es 330 long neck sorry!
10.9 lbs
11 lbx
Why is it so noisy? For example the ES from the beginning should be dead quiet since it has humbuckers, maybe its not grounded properly?
shoddy power in that spot
Something is quite buzzy in your signal chain fellas.
We tried a couple amps and they were all buzzy. The power was having a bad day lol
12.5 lbs
13.2 pounds
