You should consider trying to get used OEM screens. They are worth it and usually don't cost too much from my experience and are way better than aftermarket options!
+alitek12 yes they are. But this screen i brought it from a seller who sells both OEM and aftermarket parts, just OEM parts are expensive in Australia.

Quick question, If my iphone 5s is missing a metal shield frame could that effect the operation of the touch screen????

The metal plate is a heat shield if your phone gets to hot it could damage the internals
For example
Leave burn marks on LCD/Digitizer or potentially cause over heating issues

Hey everyone!! I tried fixing my phone, but it semi-works. The LCD is a little dim and I can't see anything on the screen, but it makes this DEN-den-dun-dun-den sound when I plug it in to charger. Additionally, it makes that charging port sound (when you insert iPhone into charger it makes a 'houng' sound). So what's wrong with it. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. Not a phone expert.

+Kc Sams it only inverts when you look at it side on. And yes is you turn on invert colours when you look at it side on it looks normal.
