However iPhones are far from nonfixable, one of the easiest to repair phones on the market. Very easy and usually cheap to diy an iPhone which is why I prefer to have one

I love these fixing it videos and seeing these devices given a new life because like you said, the utter disgrace of these companies wanting to just sell new phones all the time and be wasteful and bad for the environment when you prove they can be fixed, it makes me glad that there's people out there fixing up technology

You can put a new shell on a smashed up car but doesn't make it new or even safe, certainly can't give any 'guarantee' .Yes it looks good and new.... that board though...I wouldn't trust it with important family photos etc

(New shells, battery, screen etc) and I wrap them and give them to my siblings parents or grandparents. I have 2 iPhone 5S brand new condition just sitting in my room as a back up for my iPhone XS Max in case I drop it

@@noahkoenen3053 androids are slow and they dont have good graphics which means they cant play games at all and if they can its slow and the only reason the screen doesnt break on androids is because there screens are made of cheap plastic not glass and an easy solution to the glass is to not be stupid and get a good case and a screen protector so in my opinion apple is far superior. and dont even try to say im a fan boy because i used androids for years and then switched to apple and found apple 20 times better in quality performance and looks

In my experience those replacement displays very often are of sub par quality compared to the original displays, either to cold or to warm, or have bad anti-reflection filtering, or bad anti grease coating and become scratched faster. Not sure if there is any way to get high quality displays.
Yet the only way he could do this is by cheaping out on the battery and the screen.

@@catagris You can see even in the video that screen looks a bit off. At 10:38 Colors look off to me, and it looks weirdly pixelated.
I have also had problems with 3rd party screens draining battery way faster than the original screen at similar brightness levels. Not so common though.
My mums iPhone 6 was in worse condition than this ripped off home button destroyed screen really bent etc

Bro I had a iPhone 6 from 2015-2019 and it’s in perfect condition, no cracks or bends (thanks to the case I had). Hoping I can do the same for my XS, now pairing the case with a glass screen protector because this is a pretty hefty phone.
The touch ID not working when you replace the home button was originally at a security feature to stop scam repair shops from putting in a hacked home button. Disabling the entirely on the other hand is complete bs

Not all batteries are created equal. Some can even burn up your entire board. It’s nuts. Just look for a reputable seller on amazon.

When I saw it for the first time I thought it was 46 as well, but watching it a second and third time, I think it was 4G written on the back.
*The cracks on the screen probably happened with grooves at level 6, and deeper grooves at level 7*
