Your video was fine until you left out replacing the new screen step and you should have showed step by step instructions instead of interrupting it with it being finished. One minute you’re putting the part on and then it clicks to the part being on. Would be nice to see how you fastened each part back on the screen completely. I realize people have a short attention span, but there are those with patience to see exactly how things are done. It was helpful and more helpful than those I’ve seen. Thanks for posting!

Great video! A few small steps missing, but with a little smarts and some patience I got it done. I add this little nugget. If the iphone doesn't come on after you put it all back together you may have to reset the battery/phone by unhooking the battery. So, in order to have to open the phone back up I recommend unhooking the battery while you have the phone apart. It'll save you a few minutes.

4:25, that silver plate under that connector. Does it matter when it doesn't keep sticking on the actual connector when you take that plate off? (The connector is not broke or anything) ?? Thanks
It shouldn't be a problem. The connectors snap together anyway and the cover plates generally hold them in place. As long as you can assemble it correctly, it shouldn't be an issue if it is a bit loose.
So is @5:10 when you have attached the new screen? Not sure what was going on there but since you’re starting to reinstall all components i guess it would have to be. Would be glad if someone could confirm this is the case.

I just dropped my iPad that is 14 months old on concrete. Screen smooth but splintered.... I was going to try new type liquid glue to fill cracks.... whatcha think?
If it's just a couple of cracks then that might work. If it's badly splintered then glue is probably not going to help much. You don't want to risk getting shards of glass in your fingers when using your iPad.
This hugely depends on the quality of the spare parts you’re buying. You can get a cheap replacement and tool set for around $15 and a premium quality one or refurbished OEM display for around $100.

Why do you skip the process of melting glue using blow dryer. I damaged my proximity sensor just by follow your step... now I have to order another part. Well done!!!
Hi Wei, I have done this replacement many times and I have never had to melt any glue with a blow dryer. You are working with very small and fragile electronic components and you need to be careful handling them or they will break.
I was already careful enough but the original screen has many glues like the touch id connector, proximity sensor connector; the camera and sensor frames are also glued to the screen case. If you don't use a heater opener or blow dryer to remove those, they will break 100%. Many TH-camrs intentionally skip those steps cuz they want ppl to buy more parts. I am sick of it. believe or not.
As I've said before, I have done this replacement numerous times without damaging components and I've never used any form of heat to do this replacement. In fact, I'm not even sure what glue you are referring to, there is no glue holding the proximity sensor in place, it is held in place with screws and a bracket. The only component in this tutorial which is held in place with anything remotely sticky is the fingerprint sensor and the video says as much, although this doesn't require heating either. If you watch my video on the battery replacement, this requires heating with a hairdryer, and I discuss this in detail in the video.
It depends which replacement you buy. You can get cheap ones for $15 right up to better quality more expensive ones around $60-80. You can also buy refurbished Apple ones
Hi Luna, the pixel quality is still as good. The better quality screens are just built with better quality components and so would probably last longer. There is no lag with a new screen.

to actual change a screen, this video is like 5% helpful. the process is detailed and complex - find a longer video with someone describing the steps.
Very simple video is a governance, normal can not be chip-level repair and replacement of things.

Exist no you won’t lose anything on your phone. You’re just replacing the screen. You should however do a backup beforehand just to be safe.
