THANK YOU I just sat here for an hour and a half fixing my phone screen cuz I need to transfer stuff to my new 14 and I can't believe I fixed my own iphone... it works great now thank you
Thank you so much for your incredible help, even from the other side of the world. Your tutorial was simply amazing, providing just the right amount of detail that made it incredibly easy to follow. By explaining everything so excellently, you saved me both money and stress, and now I don't need to go to a repair shop. My daughter will be overjoyed when she learns that her phone is fixed, thanks to you! Before discovering your video, I had even printed out the screw layout on an A4 sheet, but your method made it unnecessary. I cannot express how grateful I am for the time and effort you put into creating this helpful video. If you ever find yourself in New Zealand, I would be delighted to show you around or at least treat you to a coffee as a token of my sincere thanks. Your assistance is genuinely appreciated!
Thanks for the vid, i normally fix my sisters iPhone 6s in terms of battery replacement, she takes good care of her phone overall, and is a good thing too as phones parts are expensive to import down here, I'm in Jamaica, customs charges 51 percent of the cost price to clear phones and phone parts, sigh
@@TheUnlockr yup down here phones cost twice the amount they are up there so people like me take super care of our devices lol, can you imagine an z fold 3 costing over $ 360,000 ja lol rate of exchange 1 usd to around 159 jmd, thanks for the reply, I'm a big fan of your other channel
If you bought a screen with the Home button already installed you have to use the original Home Button from the old screen. I was reading about that from the kit that I bought. I don't care about the touch ID on the phone.
I never thought I would have an older iPhone from the past in 2023!! But I’m thinking of replacing the screen and battery for it! A blast from the past! Thanks for the tips.. 😊
Thanks for making the video. Short and crisp on the instructions. It took more than 30mins to replace the screen. Your instructions are crisp and clear.
Well, thank you, your video helped me take apart and put back together my phone. i bought a screen before I looked up a video though. But here is the good news. One, my phone is functioning, and Two I may buy a screen from you because I thought I had an iPhone 6 not a 6s and I have a 6s and the screen is different! So thought it is in no way your error you may want to show people the difference before getting too far into the process so they can double check the part. I did have two other issues. My screen was cracked all over and the suction cup would not work at all. I don't know what else you might recommend other than prying the edge but super glue will not hold on the screen (Yep). The other issue is that two of the side screws on the metal plate gave a lot of trouble coming out and one of the two I had to use toenail clippers to grab and twist it out. Have you run across this issue with stuck screws and any suggestions?
Tried that, almost worked, I could even see the apple logo but then suddenly all went black, I broke by accident one of the tiny display cables probably
@@peterpachnik it’s an informative video, and I always enjoy David’s content, but seriously, just get a new phone in the case of the 6S. Someone with a 6S and not much cash to spend, could get an 8 Plus for about $75-$100.
Now I wanna buy and old iPhone 6S to try this myself!
Hah thank you sir!

No it won’t mess up the apps.

How to look at the upload date when I saw this. Not because of the phone but because that's a unlockr video type of the past.
Lol have to catch up on some of these!
Watch out Jerry, we have a new teardown and repair specialist in the town.🔥
Jokes apart, a great, informational video.

Thank you, David, for the how-to video. Very informative.
Thank you!
Please decanter you make one for glass only?
I have an old iphone 6 with a crack screen, since then I changed to an S8. I assume this would work with the 6 as well?
It will be very similar but needs a different screen so just make sure you buy the 6 screen not the 6s plus from the link in the description

Do you know how to fix the screen bleeding problem of iPad air 3.
My iPad screen is having minor issues
The problem is the quality of a generic screen compared to the original one, and the drop and scratch resistance
The ones I get are better quality but yes it’s something to check for

A 6 year old phone, I would just throw it into the trash can.
