Your tutorial on how to balance this gimbal is the best one, easy to understand (others, they keep on switching the angles every view seconds that makes it hard to follow 😬😂) you show it in bird's eye view (top of the gimbal) without switching the angles until it's done (easier to follow the process) 😎👍 note: don't forget to unlock all axis (after balancing it) before turning on the gimbal 🙏
This tutorial was exactly what I needed! The instructions were clear and the speed of the video was slow enough that I could follow along side-by-side. I feel much more confident in using my gimbal now. Thank you!
I keep coming back to your tutorial because I always forget how to set it up when I switch between horizontal and vertical shots. This video is a lifesaver! Thanks, Otto!
HELPED ALOT! its my first time using a gimbal ever and this has made it so much easier! was able to balance and set everything up in less than an hour! and im using a 12-24 mm sigma lens which is quite heavy, but the DJI RS3 Min still worked so well. Thank you!
Thank you, I've been looking for a long time to find a video to explain the modes, PT/PTF/FPV and you're the only one I found. We need more videos on how to use them, best practices. Thank you sooo much!
thank you, looking forward to make more videos like the ones you described. Did you watch the one I posted with the basic movements? Here is the link in case you want to take a look: th-cam.com/video/-ytw2T7Gi_Q/w-d-xo.html
I spent more than 2h setting and and "playing" with gimbal for the first time. But I enjoyed it! Thank you very much for this tutorial and nice purple/pink background :D
@@ajayraww3685 I tried it out. It worked but I wasn’t satisfied with the operation as it was quite heavy. So I had to go for Feiyutech scorp c instead. Works good for my combination!
I have the A73, but I don't have that lens so I am not 100% sure, but looking at the weight of both (around 1.5Kg), it seems that the gimbal will hold it without problems. Gimbal will hold 2Kg
were you able to balance it? your lens might be too front heavy. Once you reach 0 on the tilt arm all you can do is try to adjust the plate or position of the camera but the problem is that pushing it all the way back will probably make the camera hit the arm or the motor in the back, which is not ideal
Absolutely wonderful and helpful video. I tried watching the official DJI one and one more from a different TH-cam channel. Yours is vastly superior to those. Thanks so much and have an awesome day.😊
Very well informative video. I've got this gimbal a month ago and watched almost every video on this gimbal on TH-cam. However, you definitely dropped some new facts that no-one mentioned in theirs videos... neither did i know about thise features in my gimbal. Thanks a ton for that. Here's a request, if you could make a video on the orbit follow aspect for this gimbal. I'm not very sure how to use and how to exactly execute this feature as i don't see much changes while turning it on/off. I really want to take some badass orbit follow shots with the RS3 mini. Please help!😊
Thank you so much! I have been testing that option too since I didn't feel that it was helping too much, but I think it does help a bit with the smoothness of the rotation. What I can tell you for sure is that this movement requieres some practice, getting used to and perfecting it. I love making orbit shots but I have to confess that I feel that every device behaves in a different way and sometimes it takes a few shots to get it right (unless I keep using the same device over and over)
@@OttoJulian_ Hey thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Well you're correct about the practice aspect, even I feel it requires a certain level of pro-skill to use the shot with a pro-smoothness. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot, Otto! Are you able to slide the pan and roll sliders past the 4 cm mark? I just got a unit but looks like it only slides from 0 to 4cm even though the ruler marks reaches 5cm
Do you have a video that explains how to balance the gimbal when using a zoom lens? I bought this gimbal to pair with the Sony A6600 and the Sony 350mm zoom lens. My goal is to be able to video Kiteboarder’s that will be on the water anywhere between 50-150 m away. Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks
Yes I have the E 4.5-6.3/70-350 G OSS zoom lens Which I think is the G lens. I set the lens at 200mm since that seemed to be in the middle of where I might be using it and tried to balance it there. I also have the 18-135 3.5-5.6 Sony lens which seems much easier to balance. Can you also recommend a starting setting for the focus and priority settings ( S,A,P & Auto) for good action video in moderate to full sun. Thanks
May I ask if I can use this to take a video of my self? Like can the camera follow me when it just stay in one position? I am planning to get this gimbal because I want to create a video of my self however with the camera moving just by a help of a gimbal instead of another person.

Glad it was helpful, and thanks for the feedback about not switching the angles. That's a thought/dilema I have sometimes with these tutorials...
The angle switching in this made it take me 10x longer between 1:20-1:50
DJI should replace their tutorial video with this one. 🙏🏾
thank you so much for your kind feedback!
No they shouldn’t, this doesn’t work !!

This gimbal will work on nikon d7000? thank you
looking at the weight of that camera it probably will work if you use a small lens
@@OttoJulian_ Thank you for the tips
Do you find it being very unstable when connecting all of your wires? like field monitor, rss USB to camera, dji mic?
Less stable, maybe not, but the extra weight makes it harder to “maneuver” the gimbal and it makes the setup slower
