- Lil bro got the 2020 2ss camaro and got a muffler delete on it it sounds great not too loud and annoying but just right not gonna attract the cops if he would have done a full straight pipe but maybe in future

Is it legal to remove the muffler in California? I don't like the black tip or black wheels but it is not my car. Thanks for the video sir.
It is only illegal if your car creates a noise over 95 decibels. Law says all exhaust must have mufflers tho, so from what i know cali is pretty strict on exhaust noise so if that helps at all.
I have the same Camaro, does it delete the mode switch, like the sport, track, and tour when you do a muffler delete? And would it be better to just save up to get a performance muffler? Or does the muffler delete actually make it louder?

I believe it did delete sport track and and tour mode and if you can just save the money and get a an axle back too just they get pricey and th muffler delete did make it louder but not to obnoxious
There are a couple companies that offer the dual mode exhaust switch in their muffler (borla corsa etc..) some pricier than others. I would check out some other set ups on TH-cam you can find cheap options. It really comes down to sound. You don’t get significant gains unless you to headers, hi flo cats, and mid pipe.

Are you still interested in the oem muffler? I have a 6th gen SS I'm thinking of going straight pipe once I throw on headers. I wouldn't mind selling mine.
