- Here is a comparison of my Camaro 1LE equipped with a CORSA Performance Variable Sound Axle-Back Exhaust w/secondary cat delete, along with CORSA Performance 1 7/8" Longtube Headers
The first half is without headers, the second is with headers. Followed by some cold start comparisons.
Video includes: Warm starts, Revs, Flybys, Accelerations, & Cold Starts

Just got my C7 back from the shop a couple days ago and the headers made a HUGE difference to my axle back exhaust. Caught me off guard haha
I know right! For a few days I was thinking to myself “maybe I should put the stock ones back on” , it was that loud😂

You put in so much effort to make these videos. Why not edit so we hear headers vs no headers back to back: same rpm, same launch etc?

What is your set up ?? I’m trying to find it online. I have a 16 6.2 SS and want it to sound this aggressive with the Corsa headers. That sounds bad ass dude!!
My 2019 was unfortunately rear ended on Sunday. The bumper reinforcements were broken and frame bent I know they will total it but I hope I can buy it back. After they do. It will be my toy car. Claiming it now. Be great to have a 2019 Camaro paid off !

No headers = not as aggressive sound
With headers = exhaust sounds are not only raspy, but more extreme in sound duration and amplification 📝✅
Idle sound more softer and subdued without header mod too.
With header, the difference is apparent when not only cold starts, but with accelerations as well (4:31) Only thing I don’t like is the crackly pops at the downshifts. Even 6:00 with the start up, the idle profile is more aggressive.

how did you rev it past the rev limiter? i literally cant rev past 3-4k rpm. with a tune or? im actually curious lol.

Awesome video, just a quick question. How do you open and close the valves? Are you just changing the drive mode or is there like a seperate remote?
Thank you! Yeah, it is wired through the stock wiring for the exhaust. So I can change the exhaust through the modes.

I love this setup and im thinking of matching CSP or ARH headers with the Corsa Variable exhaust. With the valves closed do you think this will still wake up the neighbors or is it not ridiculous? Im okay with it being it moderately loud, but I really want to avoid having my neighbors hate me.
Can't speak for the corsa axleback, but I have the ARH long system (catted) going into the stock NPP, and i'd say that a cold start with valves closed is nearly as loud as a stock cold start with valves open. I haven't gotten a complaint from my neighbors yet, but you could definitely find yourself with far less understanding neighbors. don't get me wrong, there are louder cars, but its loud enough i don't like starting it early in the morning for the sake of my neighbors. I've also avoided an axleback (even with NPP) because i just didn't want to risk the stealth mode getting even louder. Now that I'm no longer daily driving it, I may toy with an axleback that retains the NPP functionality (leaning borla S type), but everyone's tastes/sensitivity will vary.
@@amansaleh5946 thanks for the info. I think Flowmaster American Thunder or Borla S will be the most "tame" with headers, but still plenty loud and deep.

NORMALLY I'd not say this but the Camaro with those headers sounded significantly better all-around.

I hate how the LT1 doesn’t scream like an LS does. Something about how a ls7,ls9, or an lt4 rev matches is spine chilling. But the headers make a big difference.

I actually think LT1 with headers sound even better I would know bc I own one with long tubes with corsa exhaust not say the LS don’t sound mean but the LT1 have much Meaner grunt to it it’s literally a missile
@@reddrip2149 It’s crazy you mentioned that. I actually meet guy with a 2018 SS 1le like mine and he had long tube headers with and X-pipe with the stock mufflers. Sounded exactly what I wanted it to and I became a fan. Long tubes will be ordered shortly lol.

can you tune out the cold start?
How would you describe the volume of the exhaust with headers and the corsa valves closed? Would you say it’s as loud as the stock exhaust with the valves open? Really curious
So with the valves closed, It is a smidge quieter than stock with valves open. For reference, my friend has a Mach 1 and my car is louder at idle with valves closed than his is open with stock exhaust. But driving on the road with valves closed there is no drone and it is extremely quiet. almost night and day difference.
@@mb_1le462 that’s what I was hoping for. The C6Z06 on my channel is dead quiet with the valves closed but valves open its rowdy as hell. It’s nice still being able to sneak into the neighborhood without pissing everyone off.

Sounds good bro, by any chance do you know if your setup is louder than MBRP?
In my opinion, the Corsa setup is much louder, but definitely a different tone. My friend has an MBRP Axleback exhaust with American Racing headers and it’s pretty loud, but more “muscle loud” if that makes sense. Whereas mine is more “race car loud”

How you get the car to go past 3k rpm when park?
My guess is it could be due to the fact that it is a stick shift, I’ve been in automatics in the last where it would have a rev limiter of roughly 4k rpm when parked or neutral
Do you experience any type of drone with the headers?
None at all, Corsa’s quality is unparalleled. If there was any “drone” at all, it would be if I were to drop it into 6th and floor it at slow speeds haha. As for highway cruising, it is very quiet.

yessir! The new corsa variable system has built-in valves that sync with the driving modes in the car.
How did u get to rev to 6k rpm my 2017 ss doesn’t rev past 4k. Or did u take off the rev limiter with a tune?
With the manual transmission you can rev all the way up redline when in neutral
