I have the magnetic ride suspension on my 2ss as an option. He also forgot to mention the 2ss has the bose stereo, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled seated, wireless charging, auto dimming rearview and side mirrors, 24 interior colors, dual zone climate control, cross lane traffic and back up sensors and NAV. I had a 16' 1SS A8 and now the 17' 2ss manual. Very content with the 2SS and worth every penny imo. I bought both slightly used btw and didn't lose my ass on the trade. The manual is definitely the way to go with this car if drag racing isn't your main priority. So much more fun and involving. The auto rev match feature is amazing; it even smooths out the upshifts as well. From my experience the manual is and feels) a bit quicker from a roll than the A8. There are a few you tube vids displaying this as well. The A8 is definitely a little quicker at the drag strip no doubt, especially with the clear 60ft and 1/8 mile advantage.
I own a 2017 2SS also, and this dude missed a LOT of stuff on the 2SS, in fact said you can't get it on a 2SS. I think he was just jealous he DOESN'T have a 2SS.

I bought the 2018 2SS with Ricaro seats new this past Saturday, March 3rd. It really, truly kicks ASS! I am 53 yo and this is the mostest awesome car I have ever owned. The competitive and launch modes are insane. Handling is incredible. I am in LOVE!!!!!!
There is an option you did not mentionned: buy a 2SS and add magnetic ride option, 6 pistons brembo option (they are even better than one on 1LE), add adrenaline interior and you will have performance of the 1LE and 2SS confort. Of course you miss some stuff like larger tire and the rear spoiler, but no big deal. Having heated/cooled seats, GPS, boss sound system, better interior is very nice when you dailynthe car. This is what I did and it is perfect.
What's different about the optional 2SS 6 piston Brembos and the 1LE's? I own a Gen4 SS so I'm not a GEN6 expert but doesn't the 2SS also come with wireless charging and maybe a few other thing to make using your smart devices easier where the 1SS leaves these things out the car?
The 1LE out performs both the 1SS and 2SS. No one seems to want to mention the fact that the 1LE has a performance track pack that includes a whole different suspension. The 1LE corners way better than the regular SS’s. So with the 1LE you’re getting better cornering, magnetic ride, and the 6 piston brakes which by the way is a $3500 option in a regular SS. The 1LE is perfect if you want to bolt on power because it’s set up just like the ZL1 minus the supercharger. The 1LE is the best bang for the buck. The recaro seats are leather also in the 1LE. Sweet set up, and much more complete car.

DrewZilla Kill-a save a bit and supercharge it, yes you can do that. My buddy did it to his v6 2014 camaro and it kicked my ass in my 2015 2ss every time before I supercharged mine too haha
Had a 2011 2SS with the 6 speed. I loved the car minus the weak IDS in the rear! The control arms would flex under pressure so bad, it caused the car to wheel hop at times really bad! After driving it for a bit I learned the best way to pop the clutch to avoid the wheel hop. Other wise I loved the car to death and it had some of the best handling I’ve ever experienced in any car I have ever drove!

The 1LE is the enthusiast car, the one that will most likely keep it's value in the near future. It looks the meanest mainly due to the fat tires and staggered wheels. The 1SS is for the guy that wante nothing but the most straight line performance for the least amount of money. That way way you can modded it as you will, something you wouldn't really want to do with the 1LE. If it was my money, I would be driving a Shelby GT350 myself, but those suckers are still pricy and out of my reach which makes me cry everyday.

I personally don't like the satin black hood on the 1LE. I actually prefer the cloth seats. I really wish that was an option. Leather in Arizona is killer. The sued alcantara is really nice though.
Nice comparioson. The 2ss also comes with cross-traffic alert and lane alert. Put BMR suspension, carbon spoiler, MRR 017 wheels on a 2ss and you could have a 2ss 1le and get the best of everything.
I know this is an old post but wanted to add a few items in the event someone searches for a used Camaro and wants more information. You didn’t mention that the 1le has additional cooling and an electronic differential where as the 1SS & 2SS come with a mechanical differential. It also has wider “forged aluminum” rims and run 285 tires up front and 305’s in the rear vs. 245 front and 275’s in rear. Additionally, it has 6 piston Brimbo calipers up front vs. 4 piston calipers on the 1SS & 2SS. The 1LE only comes in manual as well. The $7k performance package makes this car far superior in comparison and is well worth the cost. That said the ZL1 1LE trumps this entire lineup. These are all great cars and incredibly fun to drive and own. I’m on my fourth Camaro now. 2019 Camaro SS 1LE

He mentioned the bigger brakes and wider wheels, but didn't mention standard magnetic ride, (option on the 2ss), didn't mention the extra cooling, didn't mention that's it's the only one available with the E-diff. It is a serious track weapon. The 1ss is no frills but better looking than the LT1, the 2SS is for someone that wants the a comfortable car, with heated seats, and leather, the 1LE is the drivers car.

I just bought a 17 Camaro 2SS in black like the one in the video. Absolutely love it and wouldn't trade it for the world. Beat ricers left & right, plus can take a road trip without even the tiniest bit of fatigue. Tried Chargers and Challengers, they suck ass in comfort and handling. My father bought a 17 Corvette Grand Sport and likes my Camaro better. I'm still trying to figure out where the $20,000 more is on his vette, ha.
Just an FYI guys that those who have a 2SS with the extra features that many of those features are either cheaply made or not very efficient as expected. Something to consider if you just want the v8.
Only appealing part I find is leather. I don't see why people need blind spot detectors when you have the mirrors anyways. Just makes people lazy drivers nowadays. I've heard several criticisms about the seat cooling vents and parking assist.
The parking assist is fine and actually can detect cross traffic out of your view when backing up and point to where its coming from with an arrow on your screen. It's a little over sensitive but it's better that then undersensitive. Seat cooling isn't excellent but no car really has perfect seat cooling, it gets the job done.
I mean I guess. I'm just saying the expectations I've heard shouldn't be lofty like for a Benz or something. The interior isn't what you're getting the car for so tread wisely if you wanna spend the extra $5k-$8k on the sticker.
Mines a 2ss and has magnetic suspension. It's not just for the 1le and zl1. And is 1le really that much faster? Maybe on a track with lots of turning. I wouldnt trade my cooled seats, heated seats, dual climate, sunroof, BOSE awesome sound, nav, back up sensors, lane assist, leather, heated steering wheel, heads up display, camaro light up symbol when door opens, light show interior, phone charging pad, Apple play ect.... for a car that can take a curb a bit faster. Lol. but 1LE wheels and wing does look good but I'd rather have the luxuries and still a fast car.
2SS looks the best imo.. You also to failed to mention the moon roof on 2SS in your review. Though the 1LE is the beast out the bunch. With the 1SS your in door @ $38k.
My opinion on the 2ss, from someone who daily drives it, and owns it I love my 2SS, I got it back in october 2018, and it's amazing, those "interior options" are super worth it, I so far have blacked out my 2SS, taillights, head lights, side markers, and even the bow tie, I just need the windows tinted next and my Camaro will be completely blacked out, i love it, my 2ss for me is my perfect daily driver, it's great, and yea (sorry for the long rant, I just love Camaros and am happy to have gotten a Camaro rather than a mustang or challeneger)

You can also change the tires into 20" tires with 1LE rims . That would be the real good car.

My 2SS has dual mode exhaust, that came with the magneic ride! The control switch is the 2-tap traction switch on the console!!!

Not a Chevy fan (excluding Corvette), but that heads up display is one of the coolest features I wish were standard on every car.
I like the 1LE better inside and out. Like the seats with the Texas heat I don't want to sit on leather
dsmmike95 you can get a 2SS with recaro seats that are suede. Js🤷🏽♂️
If you build the 2 ss you can get the 1Le package. I just built one earlier today.
Just an FYI guys that those who have a 2SS with the extra features that many of those features are either cheaply made or not very efficient as expected. Something to consider if you just want the v8.
JSSpeed283 nah I own a 2ss and the features are worth it. Leather, blind spot, seat coolers etc make the car a great daily for me

Only appealing part I find is leather. I don't see why people need blind spot detectors when you have the mirrors anyways. Just makes people lazy drivers nowadays. I've heard several criticisms about the seat cooling vents and parking assist.
The parking assist is fine and actually can detect cross traffic out of your view when backing up and point to where its coming from with an arrow on your screen. It's a little over sensitive but it's better that then undersensitive. Seat cooling isn't excellent but no car really has perfect seat cooling, it gets the job done.
I mean I guess. I'm just saying the expectations I've heard shouldn't be lofty like for a Benz or something. The interior isn't what you're getting the car for so tread wisely if you wanna spend the extra $5k-$8k on the sticker.

It's also extra option for the 1SS to come with quad tip exhausts, with the 2SS and the 1LE they come with the quad tips no matter what

Mines a 2ss and has magnetic suspension. It's not just for the 1le and zl1. And is 1le really that much faster? Maybe on a track with lots of turning. I wouldnt trade my cooled seats, heated seats, dual climate, sunroof, BOSE awesome sound, nav, back up sensors, lane assist, leather, heated steering wheel, heads up display, camaro light up symbol when door opens, light show interior, phone charging pad, Apple play ect.... for a car that can take a curb a bit faster. Lol. but 1LE wheels and wing does look good but I'd rather have the luxuries and still a fast car.

As of now, The 2SS now has the option to be built with the 1LE package, hence the 2018 2SS 1LE is now a thing now.

2SS looks the best imo.. You also to failed to mention the moon roof on 2SS in your review. Though the 1LE is the beast out the bunch. With the 1SS your in door @ $38k.

I love my 2SS, I got it back in october 2018, and it's amazing, those "interior options" are super worth it, I so far have blacked out my 2SS, taillights, head lights, side markers, and even the bow tie, I just need the windows tinted next and my Camaro will be completely blacked out, i love it, my 2ss for me is my perfect daily driver, it's great, and yea (sorry for the long rant, I just love Camaros and am happy to have gotten a Camaro rather than a mustang or challeneger)
