      2SS because of the features that i know i would need mostly for the blind spots! But great video and also do you know what year they started having those features on the 2SS was it like a 2016 or 2019? That way while shopping for the car I know the years to look out for. Thanks for the info much appreciated!

      @@dmacthetruth22Yeppers, 2SS is the way to go. I’m not sure about the years, I’ve been out of the Camaro game a while. I would assume that 2SS has always gotten you much more. Good luck with your shopping.

    I went with a regular 1SS. My last Camaro was a 98 so this car is a huge upgrade to me. Like DelHudson1 said this is a weekend toy only for me. If it was a daily driver then maybe all the other bells and whistles, lights extra gizmos might have been a bit more important. The motor and manual trans was more important to me. I spent that extra 5K on an MSD intake, throttle body exhaust work and the 1LE wheel and tire package. I've upgraded a few other interior pieces but I am very happy with my 1SS. About the only thing I can think of I wish I could have gotten was the heads up display but I've never really had that either so not a big deal.

    2SS was the one for me. I like the extra stuff you get with it, and to me it was worth it. My 2SS 1LE order went through on the 18th. Just so you know I picked the red knee pads because of your first video of you 1LE. If I hadn't seen yours I wouldn't have known it was an option. So thank you!

    I just placed an order for the 1SS last week in Houston. $5400 is steep for those options in my opinion. Reading forums I found out the 1ss has all the hardware for the cooled seats but no switch on the dash and all you need to do is install a aftermarket switch on the seat somewhere to activate them which runs about a hundred dollars. Also the 1SS does come with the HUD. Only thing i may regret is not having the blind spot monitoring, but we'll see! I can't wait to drive this car! Great videos, keep it up! 👍

    • @joesmoe6663

    • @super8mate
      @super8mate ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xtrythis1170 The other great bargain about the 1SS 1LE is leather seats. The 1LE packages costs the same whether you are adding it to a 1SS or a 2SS. In the 2SS you paid for leather seats but the 1SS 1LE ends up with the same Recaros! Same goes for the head-up display. It is not on the 1SS non-1LE comes on the 2SS but you still get it on the 1SS 1LE. Enjoy!

    As an owner of a 2023 Camaro 1SS convertible, I have so many different things to say on this video, but will try to keep it brief. To me, it all depends on the reasons why you bought the car. Mine is not a daily driver. I live in the northeast, so my driving time is limited and effected by weather. I don't even turn on the radio because I want to hear the dual mode exhaust in sport mode. Most of these added features and driving aids are useless to me, and I hate heads up displays. I don't see the benefit of spending over $5K to have a slower car than the 1SS. That's basically what you are paying for with all the added weight from these add-ons. It's the same reason why I always bought Firebird Formulas over a Trans Am years ago. Same drivetrain in both cars, but the T/A was always slower than the Formula because of all the added weight from the luxury creature comforts. To each his own as they say, but I wanted share a viewpoint from someone who looks at things differently than others and puts things into perspective. Thank you for posting this video. You have a beautiful white 2SS btw.

    Good question, but one that was easily answered for me...I bought my 1LE in 2017, and back then you could only get the 1LE package with the 1SS trim level. That said, for today's buyer whether 1SS or 2SS it doesn't really matter because the chassis is SO GOOD with this gen and the 1LE option is honestly a beast when it comes to performance on the track. I autox/track event my car regularly ever since I bought it and the overall fun factor is truly the win here regardless of the trim level. So, buy what you can afford and have fun with the car. Just save a little money back for new tires...they will wear out quickly... :)

    Having owned 2 6th gen 2SS Camaros, I would never go without the side object detection & rear view camera. The SOD saved me a few times with a car in my blind spot I hadn't accounted for and the rear view camera is great for 2 reasons: the wide angle view is 10x better than a mirror & people behind you can have ultra bright headlights, but that doesn't blind you cause the camera defuses it. Wish I had the backup sensors on my Corvette, I wouldn't have backed into something in my garage, but it was never an option for the C7s. Memory seats are a must for 2 reasons: my old lady is short, I don't want her music presets and it gives you the option of side mirrors turning down (curb assist) during backing up, GREAT for spotting curbs. Skipping to the HUD, I love the screen that gives you speed limit for the street you're on and your speed, saved me a couple of time in Louisiana. I know radios are mostly "meh" on reasons for what car you're buying, but this Bose system is the best factory stereo I've ever heard, and if I can get another 6th gen, a must. Lastly, you might not have remote start on manual cars, but as a "consolation prize", if you double tap and hold the unlock button, the windows roll down. yay

    The extra features especially the rear camera, blind spot monitoring, park sensors and heated mirrors would be nice (should be standard on this vehicle, with its visibility issues), however the bean counters cut every corner they can. However the essence of this vehicle is its styling and powertrain, regardless of 1SS or 2SS they both deliver on that front.

    I have the 21 1SS with the 6 speed. It is is only driven on nice days, and days that are not cold. The heated/cooled seats are not need for me. The only thing I would like is the blind spot. It should be mandated for all cars. My car does not see rain or wet roads. It has never been in the rain. I only have 2800 miles, so you can see it is only driven occasionally. The 1SS came with the heads up display on mine as well. Great feature. The 1SS comes with the nice shift pattern on the shifter top as well.

    I like the 1SS only because the cloth seats....even though they are like burlap bus quality covers....they HOLD ME IN PLACE. I have an 18 1SS and added the B14 Bilstein PSS Nordschliffe suspension.
    Car and Driver also recommended the 1SS with the 6 speed manual, HUD, MRC, and cloth or SS Recaro cloth seats. 😮
    All those nannies would drive me nuts.
    The difference in price is really $10,000.
    When its winter I put it in the Garage and drive my truck.

      You know, I had to do a re-watch. Keep in mind I'm surrounded by Moo-Moos and those appeared to be Jersey Milk Cows. They blended in so well I missed them the first time watching. I would have really had a chuckle if you had showed some Holsteins. They would go perfect standing/grazing next to your Camaro and your Corvette. 🤣 But when all is said and done, who doesn't like to see fields with animals grazing? It could be wild animals like deer just grazing in small groups. Whereas have domesticated farm animals, mainly cows and sheep in small herds. We also have some horse farms, but I'm sure they're not the size of what you have in Texas. But we do have some BIG horses near me, as in Clydesdales. They're absolutely magnificent when seen up close and personal.

Super fun car but it makes me worry too much. It isn't driven daily and sits in the garage most the time. 12,654 miles and warranty expired in May. I'm not a big guy so I have no clue how larger people get in and out of this thing. Especially when others park close. Doors are long and really need to swing open. U crank out great videos on your channel, really learn alot, so thx to that! Regarding the differences between the 1SS vs. 2SS, there are 15. The 2SS has the Forward Collision Alert, which is removed when available Performance Data and Video Recorder (PDVR) is ordered. Personally, you can't put a price on one's safety, convenience, and functionality, so for $5,400 that's money well spent for a 2SS Camaro, based on GM Specs for 2023-2024.

    Why the hell did GM put mirrors that don't fold at all on an $55K car? How f'ing stupid and incredibly cheap. Even $28K econcomy cars generally have mirrors that move. Inevitably in life someone will bump into one of those mirrors or you'll clip one on a side of garage entry, etc.? I wonder how having no 'give' in the mirrors works out in those instances.... Probably not very good.
    Still a cool car. I wouldn't even consider a 1SS. 2SS functional additions are really significant and of use.

    Let me say that I have a heated steering wheel in my car, and when I bought the car, I thought it was a pointless feature. It is not - it makes a huge difference in cold weather, and I don't think I'd ever buy another car without it. I'd take it over heated seats.

    I have a 2023 1SS convertible and wish I would have gotten the 2SS. The difference was probably somewhere between $5,000-$7,000. The extra features are definitely worth it. In my opinion they should have never made a 1SS. There were too many models for this car to begin with. Anything below the 2SS is missing many features typically found in most cars at that same price range. For example, my MSRP was approximately $54,000 and there are no leather seats, heated seats, heated mirrors, and side mirror monitoring just to name a few. There are other features too that I did not list, but are typically not found in this price range. (HUD, lighted sill plates, Bose stereo, and others). GO WITH THE 2SS!!

    To me the only 2SS features that are worth it/needed on my 1SS are the rear camera, blind spot monitoring, and the park sensors...everything else I couldn't care less about.

    Still waiting on my 2SS 1 LE 2023. It is built just sitting waiting to be put on transport. Delivery is 2nd week of June 2023. I had the cash so all the extras you get with the 2SS are worth it to me. This is going to be just a weekend and every once in a while driver not a daily.

    I did want a 2SS, but got impatient with the pending Camaro demise and had the resources at the time to make a move on a good deal that popped up on a '21 6 speed 1SS in Dec with 1280 miles on it. Only options were Recaro's, Dual Mode exhaust, Carbon flash wheels w/SS caps, and Wild Cherry Tint. I was specifically looking for that color with a manual. Most dealers were also marking up in my area at the time (Hendrick was not though). I would have preferred the 2SS. But I do I do plan to install the Gen5DIY rear view mirror kit (the antenna mount camera version). I would have preferred the Premium Bose. HUD, and seat memory for sure! I also plan to enable the seat fans as someone mentioned below. But I’m happy with big Red non the less!

      @gilbertahsam643 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm happy that you got a 21 camaro. The tin coat red was an option and the dual exhaust was also an option. Starting price was 42 k and you said you have carbon flash rims the was also an option. Tin coat was 400 dollars more the Recaro seat was I think 6 thousand dollars with dual exhaust. I ordered a 2022 2ss camaro riverside blue with front splitter and bright silver rims and pearl white hash tags with light gray interior and I was cost of $50.000.00 oh and also the 10speed. My car is a garage queen it only has 2 thousand miles

    I am so happy that I bought the automatic 10speed 2022 2ss. I didn't order ther 1LE package because I don't track my camaro. The ride is stiff already in track mode and sport mode. If you order a new camaro order the option rims for your camaro so you won't look like the rest of the camaro guy's. I didn't order a upgrade air filter. But I ordered the front splitter and order later my carbon fiber side skirts from. American muscle. Have fun with your camaro

      You can adjust the suspension and steering in the infotainment panel and lock them in on tour mode. Then when you toggle your mode on console it only changes exhaust note and traction. Even in sport or track you can retain a softer ride and lighter steering.

    • @gilbertahsam643
      @gilbertahsam643 ปีที่แล้ว

      @keithcastleberry3993 I have the traction control knob and all of that time speed too on my dash. I mostly run my camaro in sport or track mod but the touring mode is really soft and I use it with my wife is in the car. One thing I wish they didn't have is reminding me of oil change. I changed my oil at 800 miles and now it's telling me oil change and I only got 2k mile on my 2022 2ss

      @keithcastleberry3993 when I had 800 miles after I bought the car brand new I changed the oil and now it has 2 thousand miles and it's telling me for oil service. I made a appointment with Perrysburg Chevrolet in teledo and tomorrow morning I have an appointment with them. I gess even if you only drive 1 thousand miles or less every year they will let you know it's time for oil change

    Can't decide, I'll take them both, the new 1025 HP MOPAR, or NO CAR Dodge Demon, will be here, very soon, 2,300 units to be built, in Canada, maybe as much as 2500 units, they are still working on the final number, start at $100K, not too many options. The end of the 2nd era gas muscle, is here......CHILL....🥶🥶🥶

    Also, the 2SS doesn't come with a garage opener so you have to carry a garage door opener. My 1979 Cadillac had a 3 door garage door system. Come on GM. That was 44 years ago. Come to think of it. Even my 53 Chevy came with push button start. Back to the Future
