I switched from the 14 pro to this one and I like the plus better the dynamic island bothered me more than the notch 😂
I love my 14 plus, but if it had Promotion I wouldn't have bought it. Having the island and the extra camera features would have been nice but variable refresh rates give me migraines and vertigo. If apple ever puts ProMotion on all their phones I'll have to go back to a flip phone 🙁Not many people have this issue but for us, these "not worth the price" 60hz iphones are a godsend.
My views were just more general as I felt like apple offered very little for the price they are asking for, but with the points you’ve mentioned, I absolutely understand where you are coming from. 👌🏻However, the price it comes at should have been much lower 🤷♂️
Wow, that is crazy, I never heard any body get migraines from 120 Hz refresh rate, only PWM.
@@123theprodigy5 same here ! But despite such issues the 14 plus is still too expensive for such a crap phone
@@123theprodigy5 Yeah it took me a while to figure out that was my problem instead of PWM. What tipped me off is going back over my my phone history and realizing I had used a dozen different OLED android phones and iphones without issue, but the only ones I did have trouble with all had variable refresh rate screens.
@@dylanlerou It's been a great phone so far. Missing a handful of pro features doesn't make it crap, I do agree it should be a bit cheaper though.
I’ve been using mine for about 1 month now and I live it the big screen and better life is what I’m here for. I don’t even care about the dynamic island.
To me it’s a perfect combination of the new with the old. Feels like an old skool iPhone 4-5 but with all the new elements. I love it even w 60hz

I think the 14 Plus is still a solid phone but like I definitely agree on the aspect that it should have been at least $150 cheaper than the price that’s it’s currently in.
Personally I don’t see what’s so special about the Dynamic Island and the refresh rate aspect is not really a huge deal breaker for me. Especially for a phone I will be keeping for the next 4 years.
atleast they shoulve given it 90hz, but i get it, its their selling point that its the longest battery life, and the 60hz is one of its reason why it lasts longer, Bigger battery same low battery consumption screen.
I like the iPhone 14 plus and in general apple products.. My problem is the iphones cost about 300 dollars more in Asia compared to the US. I grabbed a Samsung A73 5G it's the same size better 5000 amp battery 8 gig with 120 herts and 256 storage plus fast charging. Just a great phone for 450 dollars. Just can't pay 1200 bucks for a phone when others give you more for your money. So my set up is apple m2 air with oppo smart watch and samsung A73. Phone and it works well for me.

@@Ryan_Mikael this is the most hated iPhone model of recent times, nobody wants to buy it because it doesn’t have 120 Hz refresh rate, and nobody wants to pay $900 for a phone that only has 60 Hz.
Me to because I already own it. It makes me feel better someone putting it up instead of knocking it down. I'm poor and have to be happy with whatever phone I have.

I have a S22 Ultra,S22 Base model,Pixel 7,OnePlus 10 pro and 9, a few older iPhones,anyways I bought the plus for 5$ a month for my carrier so what the hell let's get one,

Exactly ! although, I’m sure a lot of people may find this feature helpful, but I still think Apple shouldn’t have highlighted it as a headline feature because not everyone will make use of it 🤷♂️
This 60hz thing is hilarious. Because most normal people have no idea if a phone is 120hz or 60hz that’s some really techy bs that only these reviewers and early adopters notice. Your average person cannot tell lol.

Sorry, but almost all that were said could be said about the regular 14. Camera, processor, system…. Except of course the screeen size and a little more battery juice.
Think about, no zoom, no new processor, no macro, no 120hz refresh screen… and you can have it all for much little $$ in 14Pro.
Even more no sense if you are buying in parcels, 24 for example.
I think I might take a switch from android.

i had an 11 and upgraded to a 14 plus. iphone 13 is a very good phone but i'd say 14 plus is more similar to 13 pro max
I would consider maybe waiting a little and see what the 16 line has to offer ...
I will buy the iphone 14 plus over the 13 pro max. These ar my reasons:
It has a bigger battery
I do not care about promotion, because it practically affects scrolling only, not video or games fps. They will still be 60hz.
The iphone 13 pro max cant be found with new battery on amazon, only way is to pay it refurbished by amazon at the price of a 14 pro max.
Lastly I want to recordd stable videos in action mode, something i wont be able to do on the 13 pro max

The iPhone 14 plus lasts a bit longer, about an hour or less more. But the 13’s pro max battery is already amazing. I would recommend the 13 pro max if your not scared about having a chance of getting a faulty one. And wanting to replace the battery. But if you want a new battery action mode and don’t care a lot about a zoom camera and pro motion. Go for the 14 plus, that also has is a bit lighter. Decision is yours
13 Pro Max actually has bigger battery than 14 Plus. ProMotion can still capped at 60Hz by "limit frame rate" option, and it saves battery because it refreshes to 10Hz when it's not needed. You can get 13 Pro Max used and it will still have amazing battery life, I got the smaller 13 Pro used and it still have a beast of battery life now imagine the Pro Max. You can record stable video on 13 Pro, many apps on the app store can do that with just $7 purchase.

I think you got that one right ! Honestly, it’s a terrible version of the 13 pro max. The only 2 good things you can get from buying this phone is the action mode feature and good battery 👌🏻

Yeah that makes sense to include a few upgrades such as the better camera with action mode and bigger battery, but I just don’t think it’s a good enough reason to upgrade from the 13 pro max …

iOS 16 is still pretty new, just wait for sometime and it will get better when the updates come along
I had to reset and now things seems to be better. But video calls heats up the device a bit & consumes lots of battery.
