Now THIS is the video avg consumers need 🌚🔥 I don't think you need Pros unless you're a little bit of a tech nerd in at least some area 😅 Like we care about 120Hz, we care about RAW photos, regular people probably don't even know those things exist 😅😅
True that 💯🔥. Even the constant upgrades thing the average consumer isn't jumping to the new phone model of their choice year after year so whether it's a simple upgrade or going for the top of the line models in most cases it's not necessary unless someone reaaaaaally wants all the specs etc

@@stairz84 It would be a refurbished phone, you might have to replace the battery right after purchasing it. No Apple care plus, so if you drop it you have to pretty much buy a new phone. It could have water damage, you don’t know what your buying when you get refurbished. So if someone wants a new phone, they can choose whatever they want.

They’re both great phones. I think the biggest selling point this yr are the pro series with everything you just stated within the differences. The iPhone 14’s were more of iPhone 13s. I am glad they finally brought the plus sizes back though, so not a big difference from the 13 to the 14 unless your getting a plus model for the bigger screen.

I was all in for the 14 Pro max. But I felt the 14 plus is more than enough for me. In India the price gap between the plus and pro’s is huge. The dynamic island is not that much functional at the moment. Maybe by next year it would be utilised more. Pro max is super heavy! So that concludes it! I went with the 14 Plus blue! No regrets! Coming from an iPhone 11 the 60Hz is fine for me since I’m not used to the 120Hz. Great phone!
The only time I ever notice the higher frame rate on my pro max is while playing games . It's the same with my pc's 144hz monitor pretty much. It's smoother sure but opening and closing or moving windows around is barely noticible. It's when you start playing games that you really notice the higher frame rates.

That Toyota vs Lexus comparison is spot on and totally applies to these two devices. Great video!
Well apart from the price difference.. The cheapest Toyota will cost about half the price of the cheapest Lexus. that's a huge difference. Now imagine if the toyota was 30k and the lexus was 34k to buy. Would you buy the slightly cheaper toyota or would you spend a few thousand extra on the lexus with all the bells and whistles. That's the main reason the plus model iphone is failing at the moment and so many more buyers than usual are going with the pro model. The Plus might be cheaper but it's only slightly cheaper than the pro models.
I feel like it’s more of a entry Lexus and a high end Lexus than a Toyota

The 14 Plus reminds me of the XR, for a lot of people the 14 Plus is the better choice being lighter, and having better battery life all while being more affordable.

I love my iPhone 14 Plus, I really like the bigger screen and also the bigger battery! It also sounds fantastic on my AirPods Pro 2.
My iPhone 12 is still so lightning fast, definitely holding out for iPhone 15/Pro at least.
But not going to lie, iPhone 14 Pro is so beautiful and I’ve almost gave in multiple times now.

Mannn, I went to trade in my 12 for the 14 pro, not a single TMobile store had it, settled for the 13 Pro 😭. But we’ll see what the 16 Pro has in store when my 13 is paid off

I really liked the comparison style video, I personally use the Galaxy Z Fold 3. But I used many iPhones in my day. I was considering the pro max for my daughter but since she uses the iPhone 7 currently I think the plus will be fine.
I recently upgraded from the iPhone SE 2016 (iPhone 5 body) to the iPhone 14 Pro.

I can’t speak for others, but in my area I see ALOT of iPhone users. When I do, the majority has one of the base models. I don’t see many pro/pro max users out in the wild lol. In my circle only two people have one. So the average user here, doesn’t give a hoot about promotion, islands, and telephoto lenses. I think social media and TH-cam skews perception bc that’s where all the tech enthusiasts hurdle together 😆. The 14 plus has been excellent for my average user self lol.

All the people around me got the base models and very rarely the pros because they are expensive, and because we live in a society where this became a norm to “flex” people buy the base models just to have an iPhone, where they could go on the other side ~ Samsung ~ and buy the latest flagship with almost the same money
@@dinurumega2160 It has nothing to do with “flexing” in my world. The majority of the people in my circle who have base models could definitely afford a pro. I’m talking about people who wear and use luxury brand items. They just choose to spend their cash on those items, rather than phone features that they don’t care about. At this point, any iPhone model you choose, it’s going to be a quality experience for years to come…pro or not.
Now a couple of my friends truly can’t afford them though, and they always buy iPhone models that are 2-3 generations behind. They find iPhones to be more dependable for longer, even older ones. That’s why many love Apple products. I don’t think iPhones are the “bragging rights” they once were, especially since they have a model to fit almost any budget now.
All I see are Pro models around here. Everybody got that triple camera set up
@@Johnnygga I’m sure that’s the case in some places, but the base model always is the highest selling iPhone each year. The majority of Apple customers are average users and not tech enthusiasts or social media influencers.
My wife and I still have 11 pro max and everything is still working fine. Dynamic island is not big deal for us to upgrade when we only use social media, photo, call and text and that it. Nothing has yet to drive us to upgrade our phones cause we the real average consumer
The way I look at it & this is just my personal opinion but I think the 14 pro is a solid phone & enough of a difference to warrant getting it over the standard 14 models but I think if ur looking to get a 14, the standard 13 might be a better option since it’s a very similar phone but with a cheaper price tag. I personally don’t think the improvements warrant going for a 14 over a 13 unless ur looking to get the 14 Pro

I honestly dont mind getting either one but the biggest selling point for me really is the color options. Ever since they introduced the product red color ive been getting that and since the plus is the only one that has the red color (which is my favorite color btw) im gonna purchase that one.
Very interesting. I’ve never seen someone so into colours they base their entire purchasing decisions on that. Very unique. Love it 😍

@@user-vi4xy1jw7e no i feel the same as him, I really like the product red specific red color. With a case its not the same. Regardless the phone is same shit at 14 pro max except for camera and 120 hz display. Everything else likr dynamic island doesnt matter.
I got the iPhone 14 Plus in Product Red, and I love it. Sold my 13 Pro Max 256GB for 850€. No need for 120Hz, RAW and what not, I never used it or noticed a difference with my iPad Air 5.
The 14 Plus screen is superb, for daily regular things, and I need the bigger screen. Got it together with the Apple Watch 8, upgrading from the 2020 SE. And then there is this battery thing. 11+ hours screen on time is no problem, and still 25% battery left. That is awesome.
And I was surprised how much lighter the 14 Plus feels after the heavy 13 Pro Max. I hardly notice it in my front left pocket. Couldn’t be happier!

You should a video on how you manage photos and video library’s with kids.. I went on my wife’s laptop and she has over 70k photos and 5k videos adding up to 800 gig.. 😮 these are mainly of our 8 year old! Crazy 😜
I like the PM14 a lot. But I’d have preferred it with a notch rather than the dynamic island.

Recently upgraded to a 14 pro from an 11. Whilst I understand the verdict from this video, I feel like the pro motion display and extra camera options are worth the money, and the dynamic Island will only get better with time as more developers utilise it. I guess we’ll see though.
Getting the 14 plus in purple is the battery life good?
If I didn’t have the 13 promax, I would have definitely gotten the 14 plus because of its light weight the phone is excellent for any average users.
You can try shine a led torch light and you will see the brightness bar increases on the 14+ control center and will reduce as you move the light away..so I doubt it locks in..
I'd appreciate if this became its own series. You should definitely do this for the Galaxy S23 series

You Deff don’t need the pro models at all. I personally am an apple junky so the pro is a must for me but, average phone users will always be fine with the less bouvier version. Great vid as always goat!
Had the 14 Pro Max for a week and traded to the 14 Plus. Save your money and get the Plus. This review is spot on. The Pro is just gimmicky with stuff you’ll never need or notice. 120hz refresh is not a big deal. You won’t even notice it after 2 days. I have a 16in MacBook Pro which has it but I never care that much when I use a regular MacBook.
Some people need the telephoto though, that’s what makes it less appeal for me. Paying so much for a phone and you can’t even zoom

Bought the 14 plus in white just due to the weight alone. From day to day use I definitely notice the lighter weight more than the promotion I’m missing out on^

In my country the 14 plus is so expensive that at that point the price difference is kinda insignificant 😅 so you should get the 13 pro max or if u want the newest, go for the 14 pro max. Even the regular 14 is definitely not worth it in my country, cuz u can get the 13 pro for cheaper…

Regardless you shouldn’t get a new smartphone every year. But when you do upgrade, I personally am a believer of getting the best model.
Right now I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max so I don’t need the iPhone 14 at all.
The only thing that I HATED as a person who recently upgraded from iPhone 11 Pro to 14 PRO is the stupid Dynamic Island on the screen. Clearly, Apple didn’t know how to make the notch less intrusive and then decided to make something even worse. Come on Apple, you can do something much better than this… also I find the phone inconveniently heavy, my standard iPhone 14 pro is even heavier than the 14 plus model with a much bigger screen. I should have chosen the 14 Plus model instead. 😢
Same with me I had the iPhone 14 pro max and it was very hard to find a good looking screen protector for It, I mean I looked everywhere and I could only find the one with that pill shape cut out. After awhile I started to get tired of the dynamic island so I ended up getting a new phone it was a down grade but worth it, I went with the iPhone 14 plus when it came out honestly the best idea I ever had i still have my 14 pro max. The battery life is way better on the plus but I do miss the camera on the pro max but other then that it’s been great and I can always go back that I didn’t sell it or give it away because I new I was going to miss something about it. (sorry not editing this comment so there may be errors)
The dynamic island really has no significant use for normal everyday use. The promotion and camera though, it’ll be good enough for at least 2-3 years to come. it’s really insignificant though so 14 plus ftw
Still going strong with iPhone 12 & I can easily see use this beast till 2025/2026.
I’m not into photography and videography at all. I use them occasionally. Battery is bit bummer but a replacement will do for next 2/3 years!
Regardless of what iPhone you get, it *will* looks & feel premium. 👌
If they bring usb c here and still have a plus. I may upgrade to that. The battery life on my 12pro kinda sucks now and I switched from a large phone to this. I prefer the battery life and larger screen although the smaller screen is refreshing.

No, I don’t. I’m not tech savvy at all or into the cameras, specs, etc. I just want it. I like knowing that I have the best, it makes me feel better! Also, I don’t want to do a certain thing or to use a certain app & find that it’s not compatible with my iPhone. That’s not going to happen with a pro model. I like to have my bases covered.🤷🏽♀️

Personally, I like to future-proof myself. The pro models are always my go-to with better processors and cameras. I'm hoping to get a good five to six years out of my 14 PM. With that said, if you're looking to save some cash, and don't need the latest and greatest. The base 14 models seem like a good pick for those on 11 and older.
On a side note, I wouldn't mind seeing Dynamic Island coming to the iPads. I use mine a lot for cooking. Being able to see that timer without switching would be nice.
I got the 11 pro on 2019 and can’t last 4-5 years. Recently just got the 14 Plus. I think pay a bit less for 2-3 year upgrade is more suitable for me
@@rajaafifi4280 ive been using my iphone xs max since day one on 2018 and still works great. I do plan on upgrading next year, to 15 pro max. I think if you can make the phones last you long enough the extra 200$ is well worth it. However this is the first time ive had a phone last me this long, before i was switching iphones every year or 2 and switching a pro version in that time period is very costly for the upgrades you get.

I'm upgrading my son from the se 2020... I'm thinking the regular 14 is great . However, I'm leaning towards the pro bc it's smaller than the max and it's actually a new redesign. I would wait until the 15 comes out. However his bday is in May
The 15 will be worth it though. USB-C so you can just use one cable for everything from now on. Also they’re going to subtly change the chassis of the phone to be difference since the boxy design is 3 years old now
I bought the iPhone 14 Pro Max from an iPhone 11. I didn’t realize how big the bezel on an 11 was compared to the 14. The dynamic island was enough for me because the main reason why I held out for so long is cause I wanted a screen without a notch. The dynamic island is a step on the right direction. Also, I charge my phone once a day, I don’t know when was the last time I was able to do that. Speakers is very loud, watching media is just better. Camera is amazing. I am happy with the purchase I made.

I got the regular 14 and its more than enough for the regular user. You don’t need all the things from the other one that’s for sure.
I've had Android since the Motorola Devour in like 2010. I just switched from Android to iPhone, and went with the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
