    I just started daily washing. I shampooed and conditioned 3 days in a row and I kid you not each day has been less shedding and breakage from start to finish! In just 3 days of doing this!! I used to be a weekly washer and always got so much shedding and breakage and I've tried it ALL! All kinds of scalp treatments, Ayurveda herbs, oils, butters, olaplex, k18, protein treatments...I mean everything and I have never seen results as fast and as drastic as daily washing. My hair is so soft and tangles less. I can brush through my dry hair without snagging (I do blow dry). I love that my hair can smell fresh every day. Im type 4b natural with hair little past shoulders. I do not cowash. I use shampoo, conditioner, and a pure silicone serum and that's it. I use the Dry Bar paddle brush dryer. I like it because it doesn't get as hot as the other paddle dryers on the market. My preferred product lines are Keracare and Kerastase. I am still in shock at the results i am getting this soon from daily washing.
    On topic, the rules i break:
    I shampoo daily
    Use sulfates
    Use silicones
    Use heat
    I don't care. I am enjoying my hair for the first time in many years. Daily washing was the missing key for me!

      Girl once you said KeraCare and Kerastase my eyes lit up! I’m so very happy for you. 🥹 The way I feel like dang, who knew that me uploading one video would impact another in such a special way. THANK YOU FOR SHARING 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾♥️♥️♥️

      @EvieAswiti Yes!🙌🏾 Kerastase and Keracare are the bomb, aren't they?!
      Years ago, I first saw Ms. Mississippi here on TH-cam shampooing every 2-3 days and I tried it but never stuck with it consistently. I certainly wasn't getting these results even washing every 2-3 days. Then I had a video randomly pop up with this black scientist giving a presentation on the benefits of washing black natural hair daily and she said she does it now and will never stop. She saw the same benefits you stated. Then YOUR video randomly popped up and I was like ok I think this is a sign I'm doing this!😄
      Because my hair was so dry, tangled, and brittle I think I needed to start with a wash schedule that was more...extreme (for lack of a better word) than 2-3 days even. I can't see myself not doing this going forward. Like you, even if I flat iron it'll probably stay 3 days max which is usually when my straightened hair starts to go south anyway, lol. This is literally curing my excessive shedding issue I have had for YEARS.🥹
      I have a friend I want to tell about this because she is having the same issues with her hair that I was having but I feel like she'll look at me crazy. She does wear wash n gos now so maybe she'll be open to trying it for a week. Anyway, enough rambling. Please don't stop sharing your experience. Ignore the naysayers. There are other women out here who have proven and are still proving that washing natural hair very frequently absolutely solves a lot of our hair woes. You guys just don't have the huge audience even though what you're doing makes the most sense. You are truly an inspiration.

    Breaking rules is about understanding the rules first. If you don't understand the rules, you might just ruin your hair. I remember a natural hair TH-camr saying she combs from root to ends, which I also do sometimes. But had I been doing that in the beginning without understanding gow to avoid breakage, I would have continue to ruin my hair. Same with heat styling etc.

    • @EvieAswiti
      @EvieAswiti  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      I see what you mean. I think with heat styling it’s important to know that our hair can handle heat and damage usually occurs when we don’t pivot our routine to add nourishment to the hair. I can’t imagine not washing my hair for a week or two weeks, but I put heat in my hair every day to every other day. Of course hair will be damaged, it’s thirsting to be washed again.

    • @WellBeing999
      @WellBeing999 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@EvieAswitithe cause of heat damage is using heat on dry, dehydrated hair. Whenever I see naturals using heat mid week without rehydrating the hair I am never surprised (like they are) that heat damage occurred. Keep washing and conditioning your hair before heat and you will preserve your texture no matter how many times you straighten. I know this from personal experience as someone who used to straighten one a week for years ONLY after washing and deep conditioning. I was able to transition to a wash and go no problem.

    Tbh the natural hair community is toxic and all the rules push many away. At this point I do what I want and what works. If I want to throw on a wig I will, if I want to straighten it I will etc. I understand not wanting to pick a side cause im on the straight natural journey and low key want to get a wash and go but feel conflicted 🤣. Regarding straightening ive never attempted to straighten my own hair but my stylists is the best and her blow outs last 2-3weeks. I usually only run an iron once in the front during week 2 or 3.
