- Fished East Harbour Arm Shoreham West Sussex in a heatwave on the hottest day of the year. Caught Plaice, Gurnard and Red Mullet in difficult conditions on a dropping tide.
Both Martin and I had rods go over the harbour arm but we managed to get them both back savied the day and caught a few fish which is always a bonus.

Well done on the fish , those red mullet look lovely, glad you both got your rods back , we had a session at Whitstable on Saturday morning , blanked but I put that down to the relentless swimmers, paddle boarders, kayaks and jetskis, my daughter still enjoyed the time at the beach though bless her . As always , look forward to the next one mate 👍 🎣
Glad you and your daughter enjoyed Whitstable but crowded at the best of times. Where we were was baking and really wanted a dip in the sea. Am heading down the coast tomorrow with wife and the dog for an easy day of ice cream and a bit of a dip.
I have never caught a red mullet but they look ace seeing them alive.
Tough day and a bit stressful losing the rods but a relief to get them back.
Am heading to a real beach next weekend to use the rods and give them a proper try out 🤞take care cheers to you and your family 🍻👍👍😃🎣🎣

Yep really hot and tedious with the rods but lesson learnt put on free spool.

Eazy paul you ok my mate, i enjoyed the vid as the uze lots of giggles. Love the banter amongst ya ,thats whats it about aswell isn't it. Very lucky both of ya getting ya rods bk . Well done in the end saving the blank and well done to the chaps some nice coloured fish. It must of bin hot down there the last week as up here it has been meltdown and were a few hundred miles north. All the best paul from GRIMSBY.
Hi Carl it was like going in an oven on the harbour arm with all the reflected heat from the concrete but could not have fished a beach. Am going to Selsey next weekend to give the rods a proper thrash and get a bit of a bend in them 🤞
Result on the rods and put a bit of a dampener on the day for Martin but next time will fish closer in and further along the wall.

Wow, it's never dull fishing with Paul! Very lucky to get the rods back unscathed. Great to see a few red mullet showing. As for the shorts, the last time I saw 2 things like that they were in Ernie's crate! Hope to catch up soon, take care.

I've gone to the dark side -> joined the local angling club and got some BFS ultralight gear and a rod license.
30 minutes to fishing rather than 2-3hrs each way. Might go before work tomorrow.

Have not been out last few weeks as have a bit of a cancer battle on my hands but it is all looking good but just crap dealing with the treatment.
Am heading out tomorrow 3.00am in the morning yuk to catch the tide with a few other mad people 😂😂
The trolley is a tronix and about £130.00 but like it as the big wheels are far easier over shingle than my last trolley with small wheels and I predominantly fish shingle beaches.
I would recommend it but have made a few adjustments to suit the luggage I carry as it can slip and then touch the wheels but I just put a bar across and sorted. Hope you enjoy my eclectic mix of videos and much appreciated the new sub take care 👍🎣🍺🥂🎣

Did you try the mag four rods
Hi Stephen was using the mag four rods but light weights 125 grams and not enough space to compress the rods properly. Am going to Selsey next weekend to give them a proper try out 🤞take care 👍🍻😃🎣🎣
