I managed to hook 22 Whiting in the freezing cold, but Ross had a different tale with 2 Flounders and 1 Dab-all flatfish, no Whiting. Personally, I was hoping for more flatfish, as the Whiting turned out to be tiny. Braving the flat calm and bitter N westerly wind made it an experience to remember. Come along and witness our fishing escapade filled with challenges, triumphs, and a touch of frosty camaraderie! 🎣❄️

It was indescribably cold even with all the layers on but did manage a few fish although not what I was targeting 😔
Next weekend would be good to see you on a beach for another tango with the fishes 😂😂😂😂

love watching your videos as they remind me of my fishing days back in the late 70's at Shoreham Harbour when my parents had returned to Shoreham after emigrating to Australia .I have been back in Oz since 1980 but watching your videos brings back great memories keep up the great videos ...love the banter as well
What nice comments to receive from the other side of the world. Shoreham has certainly changed since the 70s and am envious where you live.
Always wanted to visit Oz and have a fish there. Andy who I fish with has gone over to Australia several times fishing and has some great stories about catching flatheads and eagle rays.

Hi Dave really frustrated that Ross was in Flatfish corner and I just kept pulling out whiting 😂 but as you rightly say it was good to just be catching rather than no bites and getting depressed and being called a blanker 😂. Cheers and take care 👍🎣🍺🍺
Nice days fishing with friends,im hoping to fish Shoreham next sat high tide were I live Chichester the bloody seals have eaten the flatfish, have not cought one 15years all the best keep well

When I was last Chichester way went to Church Norton and a seal followed me all along the beach about 3 yards out.
Good luck at Shoreham generally a good venue but beware the weed.

Looks similar we had at Shoreham , very weird sea mist was like a curtain moving in, very very cold. Very hard going, 1 Plaice for Darren, 0 for myself and Neil.

Hi Stephen the mag four rods are magic and just need to get more confidence to really push them. The worry for me is if I asked Ross to dance the American smooth he probably would take me up on the offer 😂

Great video and I hope you are keeping ok. Quite rare to catch many flounders these days. Do you wear your dancing trousers when you watch strictly? (Plenty of ballroom!)😂
Hi David getting on with the tedium of cancer treatment and there is positive light ahead but tiresome and unpleasant journey.
Flounders as you rightly say are not seen often and I have not caught any this year.
Now my trousers😂 my wife reckons I have gone up a few sizes as the years have gone on and not only ballroom but could also accommodate the audience 😂😂

The casting is getting better as I get braver with the reels and so far cannot fault the combo and glad I changed to Penn.

Love the video's Paul' , casting I was taught that the off the ground the weight should be inside the circle, meaning the weight should be laid out to your right but each to their own, maybe it might get you a few more yards
Hi Tony thanks the feedback re casting and will give it a crack. Let’s hope not literally and a few extra yards would be a bonus as every advantage helps. Really frustrating not to have caught any flatfish but that is the contrariness of fishing 😂

don't be embarrassed about watching strictly, i am subjected to that as my wife and granddaughters are all dancers, they even encouraged me to take up old time dancing which i did for a while (secretly) and am now a proud medal holder for passing a waltz exam🤣

Can i ask some advice please? Just booked a coach trip to eastbourne in feb 24 should be there 6th 7th 8th any suggestions for a venue and are there tackle shop for bait please?

Two really good tackle shops and really knowledgeable and helpful
Tony’s Tackle in Eastbourne and Anglers Den Pevensey always got fresh bait but pays to ring and order
Good website presence and could definitely recommend where to fish based on their experience as they all fish the local beaches.
I generally go for deeper water at Langney point but any of the Eastbourne beaches fish well and good time to go as nice empty beaches.
Also Pevensey and Norman’s bay good to have a crack for bass and rays.
