- Sea fishing Shoreham Harbour east Arm, trip to Shoreham harbour as could not fish the beach. Got to use my new Penn Mag 4 mixed ground rods and was joined by Martin and Rob.We fished the tide down and then back in. Winds initially light north westerlies then changed to strong westerlies.
baits were fresh black lug and ragworm on scratching rigs with fish baits on pulley pennel rigs.
We all caught plaice and I was the only one to catch a bream. Bites started as the tide came. A good day in good company.

Hi fellow you should try the East arm when weather rubbish and weedy beaches and also holds a few fish.

The new rods had a ballerina catalog with them and the jump is known as the casters pirouette and is only for athletes which probably rules you out 😂

Hi Colin yes how I caught fish is still a mystery and the rods am itching to use them on a beach to give them a decent wack out.
Was going this weekend but dreaded Easterly is out and about with its friends the weed.

Eazy paul you ok mate, well done chaps on your catches in windy conditions. I like your new rods, get ya reel slid down bottom paul and the rod will feel loads better. I only went that way in january and i prefer it . Go on beach for an hour or field n have a practice for you go on a session. All the best paul from G.Y.

The reel seats will get down low and am practicing out in the field next to me and am taking a while to get used to but will persevere as this position will add distance so grit teeth and get on with it.

@@SeaFishingWithPaul i found it strange at first paul as i was a fixed spool guy aswell till i turned 50 just b4 last xmas. Now i am off the ground casting and loving the penn 515 mag 4's and my daiwa kenzakis. You will suss it out paul.

Car park at end of basin road and is next to a cafe called carats cafe BN41 1WD
Car park all day is £5.00
There is a tackle shop called lagoon bait and tackle on the main road good bait and really helpful people.

Hi Paul didn't mean that you try the penn mag if you're happy with the penn tidals stick with them i I have mag four rods and use the akios nitron reels perfect set up ps hope you get well recovery
Hi Stephen I like both of the Penn rods but the mag 4 penn setups get the edge particularly the sliding reel seats. Got given the second pair to review and did not have to pay.
I have to say they have the edge in many ways and have been practicing with reel down in fields next door.
Takes a wee bit of getting used to but the rod action is perfect compared to my vercelli.
Several others also suggested the mag 4 set up particularly because of the reel seat.
