Alex, you have helped me a lot in my last decision making. I made a comment from one of your videos regarding choosing between IP 14plus and IP13 PM for my first iOS. I went ahead with the 13PM and it did not disappoint when it comes to the purpose of why I bought it, the battery! I really do wish some features are available on IP like split screen or multi window for multi-tasking like I have on my 3-year old Android, I think that's a wasted potential of their processor. Having now both Android and iOS I couldn't really tell which is better tbh. Thanks buddy! Keep on making great contents! I'll stick around to see your channel grow!

I had a Pixel 7 and S21. Just switched first time to iPhone 13 Pro. I liked both but hate Android battery life. Let me tell you the difference between IPhone Samsung and Pixel in my opinion. Pixel 7 is smooth af for 90 hertz has the smartest features and best Main Camera. Samsung has the most features. Great for multitasking and productivity. Best Portrait Mode and Zoom. iPhone is very consistent apps are very optimized. Best Video hands down and everything like shopping or paying for the train in NYC works efficient with Apple. Only thing I don’t like Apple is no back swipe. Back button always at the top of the screen in open apps. No multitask like how does Apple not let me open two apps at once for split screen. But all phones are A/top tier phones. You have to pick you poison. What works best for you. Truthfully im keeping my IPhone 13 Pro but want a s23 as a second phone…

@@thatninja718 I absolutely agree with you! S23 Ultra beats Iphone overall this time. BUT Iphone 13 Pro/Max video quality is hands down superior to ANY smartphone and its obvious, watched loads of “fair” comparisons , not even one made me change my opinion about the video quality! Some youtubers are pointing S23 but they must be blind or lie on purpose. For features and screen S23 is by far the winner. To me Iphone only wins in design and the amazing video quality and thats the only reason I keep it as my main phone but for someone not “captive” in Apple world I strongly recommend Samsung this time.

One thing I noticed about the speaker comparison at 16:37 was that the iphone was placed with bottom speaker close to the lens but the galaxy s23 was placed with bottom speaker away from the lens and I think that affects the perceived sound. That’s why android is not worth it. The stability and reliability on iPhone is unchallenged. I’ve used android flagships all my life, last one was S21 ultra and it follows the same path as every other android: minor issues start showing up a year in, apps always take longer to get fixed cause it’s android, battery life degrades insanely fast for heavy users. You pay 1200€ for a phone that starts having issues, regardless how small a year in, is that worth it? I swapped to an iPhone 13PM and the phone works like day 1 after 10 months and battery is still at 30-40% at the end of the day. Not a single of the 6 android flagships I used before were this good a year in.
Phone reviews made by these YT people are just bad for an everyday user. We don’t buy a new phone every single year, most people aren’t too content with dumping 1200€ into a phone yearly…. And with the phones costing 1200€, you just expect more stability and no issues for AT LEAST 2 years. No reviews on YT cover this because they never use a single phone for 2 years heavily and can’t even know.
I’m seeing more and more people lately swap to iOS in Slovenia cause they’re getting fed up of what I wrote above lol

My son and wife have always used iPhones and me and my other son have always used samsung android. Both my sons and me all got new phones with me and my younger son getting the 23 Ultra and my oldest son getting the 14 pro iPhone, and for once I could see in his face that he was jealous of not having the samsung 23 Ultra due to everything it can do with the camera, customizing anf multitasking, one thing he was jealous about was the stylist pen we have that he doesn't. He is in college and wish he had that option that came with his phone along with being able to multi task.

Yes, I've been caught by that before. Also made sure the Spotify, Netflix and Disney+ settings were set the same way. The speakers on the iPhone is clearly better, but only if played at about 80% volume. Any higher than that it starts to distort quite a bit in my opinion. So tests out there that test the volume alone should be taken with a pinch of salt...

The thing is SD 8 Gen 1 was manufactured by Samsung, but SD 8 gen 2 is manufactured by TSMC, and that has a lot to do with the efficiency.
In fact, the overheating issues I was getting while streaming on my S22 Ultra no longer happen with the S23 Ultra, and battery life is what it should be.
Also, the curve on the screen became less prominent which makes it less slippery to hold.
Main camera improvement is with night mode.
Also, S23 is just much more optimised than S22. I am using 0x animation just because of how snappy it is, and even with that there's like zero lag, everything is instantaneous.

One thing I didn't do and I noticed that it helps after I made the video is using the EQ. But the iPhone does still sound better to me. I am ok with that though, overall the S23 Ultra is smashing it out the park. One thing the iPhone does which is annoying is distortion. At 100% volume, everythign sounds really distorted on the iPhone. At about 70-80% it's fine. Which makes me laugh when I see reviews that say the iPhone is louder. Well, it is louder - but you wouldn't enjoy it at 100% volume.

Hi there! For me it was almost by accident, but Google Photos has worked amazingly well. However... I am using a 5G connection in the studio, so even 8K files on the Samsung took only a few minutes. If I was not on this network, or when I am at home working on a standard broadband connection, then Google Photos is not an option. In those scenarios I have to use the painful process of USB-C transfer or one of the alternative apps like Snapdrop/SendAnywhere. Not ideal and nowhere near as good as Airdrop of course. But it's a compromise I am happy with because of the other benefits I am getting.

Congrats for the most honest video about iPhone and S23 a person ever made. I tried using an iPhone months ago, specifically the iPhone13 Pro Max and honestly it didn't work. The amount of things you lose is too much compared to what you gain using an S23 Ultra. And today, I agree with you: the Galaxy S line is at its best. I'd say it's the best time to migrate from an iPhone to Android. Unfortunately, there are many people who are still stuck with the Apple ecosystem, and don't see the benefits of a high-end Android, and I even agree with them because the media in general favors Apple more than Samsung. But, anyway, an honest video from someone who used an iPhone like me that realized the advantages of the S23 over the 14ProMax, not to mention the price disparity in emerging countries.

Leaving ecosystem is just too tough with so many devices. I think generally don’t think people are missing out on too much to make it worth getting rid of that ecosystem and selling 14 pro max to get s23 ultra. The ultra has many strengths but shutter lag/speed is still a massive problem for point and shoot. App quality still far superior to android more so in social media apps. Battery life and performance are close so I’d you leave your iPhone you aren’t really getting an upgrade in this area so for me I don’t see the Benefit really

The speaker test would have to be done again, they should both be facing the same way. Iphone bottom firing speaker was facing towards the camera lens which enhances the sound [like when you cuff your phone in your hands and the audio sounds better and much more loud]. S23U bottom firing speaker was facing the other way [Soundwaves had nothing in close proximity to bounce off of to enhance the sound].

I don't care about the brands, the competition in the end, helps me to get things done better. get us better devices and software. but for now, the combination of Windows + Android, is unmatched. and one couldn't say such a thing even 2 years ago.

They can edit a video while downloading something, or edit appointments in their calendar. And as some videos have already proven, the 14 Pro Max suffers from overheating, losing performance over time. I have the money to buy the latest iPhone model, without depending on any sponsorships, but the things I lose with iOS is too big compared to what I gain. I just switched from Android- to Appleland, the iPhone 14 Pro Max. My last phone was the Note20U, not the S23U I know but it had pretty much the same glitzy stuff and more (micro sd, e.g.). My last iPhone was the 7 Plus, so I'm part of the group you envy. I'm honestly loving the 14PM, never having used the s-pen or dex at all (i.e., I don't miss anything). Again, I will say the same things most say. When it comes to support, which I've used quite extensively on both platforms, updates, and ecosystem, these just can't be seen as an afterthought. We're not simply talking about phones here. It's a package deal! I must say the only thing that peeves me a bit is the whole AAA gaming thing with Apple. That just straight out sucks, but I'm not a serious gamer. I've held on to my Dell XPS 9500 to play the odd game (OW and AoE). However, my M1 Pro simply crushes anything I've ever owned laptop- and even desktop-wise for content creation as does the Apple Watch (except for battery--my Galaxy Watch simply could not be beat in that respect). All in all, it's been a while since I've been content with my tech, the only thing forcing me from Apple was its ho-hum attitude toward innovation. How boring was iOS before 16! I've dabbled enough in the world of innovation as a regular user to be content, spending way too much to achieve the relatively headache-free experience afforded by Apple. The cult-like status of Apple still bugs me but, older now, I can just shrug it off, complaining just enough to keep a clear conscience. Having said that, I'm looking forward to replacing my XPS soon with something from Lenovo! 🙂 Thanks for your thoughts!
