The fact that Samsung DeX exists and its far more than just mirroring apps to your display(which it can also do) makes Samsung devices the most powerful on the market. Really understated feat that DeX is
Well that is what it is. It’s just to mirror your apps to a monitor.
@@Mistygio not really it mirrors your entire system to a screen pretty much like a computer.
That makes it a workhorse and imo incredible for productivity
Motorola has an equivalent desktop UI called Ready For. It's actually better than DeX in several ways.

That magsafe stand for the laptop is a must. I've been looking for one of those for months, but couldn't found one as good as this one. Awesome!
I use my S21 Ultra using DEX on my TV all the time to play emulators and Sony remote play.

For a controller I use a Backbone One and for AR glasses I use the XReal Air. Thanks for the info on the Pitaka case. That'll be my next upgrade.
I really do not understand why so many people are stuck on the iPhone. Years ago it made sense but today with phones like the S23 Ultra, it’s doesn’t. There is so much more you can do with this phone. Battery life is no longer an issue so why are so many people stuck on an iPhone

i assume a good 80/90% of apple user, just buy iphone for the brand, if you try to tell them the crazy feature they are missing, they will just don't accept it (i cannot explain myself how they accept to not having fingerprint unlock for example)

@@sanjeevkaler3201 I'm always having to retry reading my finger print. It almost never works on the first try. And its position under the screen is very unintuitive, so I'm also always hitting it just slightly to the side.

I never new the gimbals were setup to be specific for certain software. Now I found one that is user friendly. I should have known they are setup to were you have to purchase through there app any extras.The company store were you had to purchase anything through just them as in the Gold rush towns in the past. 😊 Thanks

6:19 Using Magsafe accessories also prevents the S-pen from charging, but it only takes like 5m to fully charge, so again, just remove the accessory and it will charge and track normally. It can also cause it to lose its connection for air actions (probably because the s-pen runs out of charge), so if you get an s-pen disconnected error, just remove the Magsafe accessory, tap connect, and it will reconnect.
I thought my S23 Ultra's s-pen was broken for the first week since I immediately connected a Magsafe ring grip to it and always leave it attached. Figured out that it was the magnets interfering with the digitizer when I took the case off to show off the naked phone, and it suddenly began working perfectly.
i have the Mous case for my s23 ultra and i havent had any issues my with s-pen
@@LazyTeeRex it's not the case itself, it's Magsafe accessories that cause the issues. To what extent it affects the operation will also depend on the strength of the magnets in the accessory. I've got a battery and a wallet that hardly cause any noticeable issues, but they also don't hold on very strongly because they don't have to. I've also got a grip ring that has very strong magnets (you don't want it to fall when you're holding it just by the ring after all), and that causes issues 100% of the time.
Had the same behavior on my Note 20 Ultra before the S23 Ultra, though that was not the Mous case but a different Magsafe case, as they did not make one of these for that device.
Gab an SPen pro, issue solved.
@@charlescdt6509 No. All this "solution" of yours does is make you carry an extra s-pen that still needs to be charged in order to connect for air actions, and still needs the Magsafe accessory removed to prevent tracking issues when writing. So it doesn't actually solve anything, but rather creates more issues.

You have to use multi controll and quick share to get the best experience to transfer files and photos with ease
Dex is so Underrated its unmatched. I've been looking for a monitor to buy, but I think I'll get this Dopsplay instead, there'd also a wireless version.

Finally I switched from IOS Iphone system to Android S24Ultra and the main reason was this video and Samsung dex of course but I lost the video and couldn't find it anymore and after 2 hours of searching I found it, now with further due let's order the display.

As far as the case goes, if you are wanting a magsafe case then Id look no further than the magback cases. Its the only case that has magnetic shielding so you can use your s pen while something is attached.

cool, the laptop shell has a lot of potential. some commenters below said the didn't see the point. I can see a workflow, with dex at the center and workstation, and laptop all powered by a dex like workflow.
it allows, the phone to be the center, they have the power nowadays... and as it gets flushed out better and works better who knows.

5:57 the downside of the Pitaka case is the lack of protection especially on the sides. Shame they are not making a pro version as for iPhones.

Just FYI. Aramid fiber is what’s used in bullet proof vests/body armor and other applications where a robust and high performance material is needed. It is sold and marketed under the DuPont brand, KEVLAR.
I love the looks of the Pitaka case, but from my experience it offers no drop protection. The back of my note 10+ shattered from a 4ft fall
It's mostly a stylish scratch protector
Nothing will beat an OtterBox.
people think hard cases are protective but unless the case is thick rubber inside and hard material outside, it's going to hit hard the back and sides of the phone and shatter it if it's glass.
You don't need an expensive case. A good TPU case will be enough. Never had issues from drops, especially when leaving my tall SUV seat
BUT(!!), the case has to have LIPS(!) around the sides and not only the ends like many modern cases do. If you see 1* case reviews, they're because the glass shattered on the long rectangular side. Make sense, right, since it's the area with the most length!
I use Carveit cases because they're by far(!) the most stylish and have LIPS all around it. They're hard to put on and take off because they're snugger and thus give a greater chance of survivability!
Otter box on S23 broke screen in less than two months.

I used a suction cup mount on the plastic shiny part of my car it falls off eventually but I have a heads up. Lasts about 3-4 months before I need to resuction with some water
What Bluetooth keyboard do you recommend with S23 Ultra and Rokid max to use as laptop and does s23 allow Ms office?
When talking about cases with magsafe what I wanted to know how strong the protection is if it can be used with screen protection on and camera protection on does the case fit well if I drop it and when connecting magsafe battery is to move it and see how strong the magnet is and to see how it stays on the case.

The DeX mode on phones and the fact that phone app on cellular iPads is killed makes me go full android as I've been using android for the whole time using tablets and phones. Let me know if the Z Folds support the newest games made originally for consoles and PCs to play on cloud gaming. And I'm waiting for the Z Fold 5 to come out to finally have all my daily tasks done on one device (because I was not able to afford any of Samsung or Apple stuff)

I noticed once you lean it back more than almost 90° I'd say 110 the whole thing just flopped backwards so do you have to use that with your laptop at an almost 90° angle?

I'm curious about something. What would be the best track pad you'd suggest for Samsung Galaxy Tab? Would the apple magic trackpad be compatible?
I saw some trackpads from Logitech or Brydge, but I'm not really sure they'd work with Android, hence the curiosity for the Apple Trackpad.

Why not use a mouse instead of a touchpad? Either way, the Samsung phone itself can be used as a trackpad. I don't think it is worth buying the Samsung tab just to be used as a track pad. It's android so you can find any trackpad and find a work around to make them work even if they aren't designed to. That's the magic of android.
@@thanismurugathas2929 personal preference. I'd prefer to use a touchpad. I haven't found a reasonable good product on the market yet that would work well with Android as a touchpad. Maybe I'm missing something - any input would be appreciated.

I switched to the S23 ultra and i can say that Dex mode is amazing. I'm a Dex daily user and it's incredible how powerfull it is along the time.

May I know how do you manage to fit razer kishi v2 with Pitaka case on? I tried on my s23 ultra and it does not work, i remove the rubber insert and it barely connect, the moment I move a little and it loose the connection, like the usb port is short of 1mm.

How about to connect a multimedia remote control..i.e amazon fire tv stick remote to a S23 on Dex, so you can use it when you watch movies. It is so much easier than a mouse and a keyboard (for a movies or tv on Dex). I couldn't find anywhere on the internet how to connect the fires tick remote controller to a android phone.
