Brittney has operatic training, but most of her vocals are pure rock. She's just amazing.
There are two fun videos out there with her. There is a video of her doing karaoke in Edinburgh Scotland after a concert singing Queen of the Reich. Needless to say, she SLAYS it. Then she also did a Zoom video with the singer of Lords of the Trident doing an aria from Brindisi. Her rendition of that is incredible.

my sense of the Time Stands Still album that includes this and Tonight We Ride is that they were really trying to find their distinctive sound but weren't quite there yet. So the "influences" are more pronounced. Some metal elitists have panned this as cheesy. I love it, and the band likes to have fun. Brittney can simg symphonic metal like Simone amd Floor. She just doesn't want to. Watch her sing Brindisi in an opera battle - it's both amazing and hillarious.

IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME!
    TEST YOUR METAL (2015)
    Test your metal!
You been around town with an original sound and everyone knows who you are
All you really got is your name, but everybody loves you the same
The party don't start till you walk in the bar, and the crowd is waiting on you
As soon as they hit the lights, take flight
But there's not many places you can play and all the faces stay the same
I'm not tryin' to say this town is lame but it's time...
    Test your metal!
Hot city nights, under city lights; we are the night
Trust me when I say to hit the road and escape, can you hear them calling for you
Just try to take it day by day, the next town ain't so far away
There's a world outside lets take a ride, I'm not gonna say it again
Now's the only chance you got to rock
Don't let your dreams get away, get up, go forth and make them scream... It's time
    Test your metal!
Hot city nights, under city lights; we are the night
    Test your metal!
Hot city nights, under city lights; we are the night

I love the the vibe change on the album from this track to the next. On the album the next song is called "Crypt" and it's got BIG TIME metalcore vibes throughout. Definitely a sweet track. Maybe not a popular reaction song(no video) but I think you'd enjoy it. Hopefully you get a chance to check it out.

Would love to see you react to Brittney's Karaoke session in Edinburgh of Queensryche's Queen of the Reich! You would love it and you can hear her as pure as it gets! She is a freaking beast and legend! ;)

Great reaction - cant't remember if I already mentioned this, but both Brittney, Floor and Simone collaborate with Arjen Anthony Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One) - Star One released an album recently:

I definitely hear the 80's in this. Judas Priest is the first one that comes to mind.
From the 3rd album, Time Stands Still, same record as the last song you did, Tonight We Ride. The first album with Napalm Records.
The first 2 were independent releases. I think you'll like General of the Dark Army from the second record. 🤘🤘

The thing I love about TyM is that Britney just straight launches into slayer mode, kicking ass and taking no prisoners. Just straight classic metal sound.

Good on you for getting into the subtleties of what makes this band so special. Their are plenty of folks out there who just react to music, but I appreciate your getting into the little things and educating. Subscribed.

So far as outside references go - check out Northwest Passage, the unofficial Canadian anthem as they say, it's a classic east coast bard folk song, and they remix it excellently - it's worth listening to the original to see just how far they've taken it

In this song Brittney and the boys seem to pay tribute to the days of the NWOBHM, especially Grim Reaper and its singer, the late, great Steve Grimmett.😢👍

Dude, I have been loving your reactions to all of my favorite bands, from Sabaton to Unleash the Archers to Dragonforce dude you've had the same sentiments I have often thought. (though I lack the musical background, lol)
I think you'd love A Sound of Thunder, if I could make a suggestion. Pretty old school sound with some really cool twists. Take care my metal brother, safe travels.
