To anybody new to GWJ, I promise it works if you’re consistent. I found her over 2 years ago and never went to a gym and lost 100lbs. I usually do more intense videos now but I’m feeling cruddy and needed a pick me up. This was perfect. And remember, if you can only do 5 minutes or 10. That is fine. Just do 6 minutes the next day and 7 the next. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Make it fun not a chore!
I'm new to GWJ. I've been subscribed to her channel for about 2 months or so, and have only done 1 workout. I was gonna ask does this really work, because it seems too easy. The movements, the pace, just doesn't seem like you would be burning enough calories. So I'm glad I saw your comment. Thanks. I guess with 6million subscribers she has to be doing something right.

Today is Jan 11th, 2025 started with this workout. Made a resolution to begin working out but I didn't... and it's been long that I wanted to start working out and prayed for it too... I will have to say God wanted me to do this so he has got me to this page. I weigh 196 pounds right now and promise to continue with this (Jo's) workout with proper diet. I'm going to come back after a month and give you an update of how far I have come. Keep motivating me guys. Lots of love and blessings to you 💕
did this after a very long depressive episode where i could barely talk myself into brushing my teeth at least once a day. I've always been kinda active so not being able to exercise bumbed me out even more but things have been getting better lately and i felt like i was ready to do it today and i did!! i feel so much better already and so hopeful thank you for such an acsessable training routine, a great starting point after a long break
its really nice to hear that. I was in that depressive episode either, i wasnt even trying to convince myself to life is worth to live and it was really great feeling doing this exercise. I hope we all are getting better soon.

It’s been about a year now since I have fallen off my weight loss. Put on all but 10lbs back. From 230lbs to 170lbs to 220lbs today. I lost myself. Today is a new day. Today I start up again. I’m actually sobbing, I’ve been dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression, on top of ADHD and being a uni student I feel like I never have enough time for me. Going to the gym on and off but never felt like it was working for me. This was the first time in a long time that I felt seen, heard and supported; not to mention that this was FUN. Dude, literally in the same boat! I've been so stressed out with Uni and everything else and feeling like I couldn't do it, and wanted to quit a few times, and I didn't want to let myself go during Uni. Found these videos and seen that they actually work for her, and I have fun doing them! I also find that I feel better after and like I am able to accomplish things. I also find that it helps me not to be so distracted during Uni. Glad you found these too! Thank the Lord!
I have ADHD too & find that Jo's workouts suit my active mind perfectly. Gyms were too boring & I couldn't stick to the boring routine. The music, the arms doing one thing, legs doing another, whilst trying to breathe correctly and crunching the correct muscles is the perfect thing for the way our minds work. I actually go to the gym with my daughter & tuck into the corner....and flap about like I'm at a silent disco 😆 But it works for me! You go fellow ADHD-er ...you won't regret it!
I tell myself when I want to stop, I had 2 horrible labors, I birthed 2 babies, I can finish this workout. Thank you Jo. I'm down from 255lbs to 244lbs. I want to run and play with my babies without getting tired.

I'm glad I found your channel. I have been exercising using this workout video for 4 days now and it is getting slightly easier to complete each movement correctly. I have tried other "Beginner" workouts before but for some reason the instructors don't seem to understand the meaning of the word and go too fast.
This workout was a lifesaver, I haven't worked out in forever, I'm partially disabled now. The carpets in my place are super thin and I don't have a yoga mat. Even if I did being on the ground hurts my joints too much. This is a true beginners dream! So fun, simple, you encourage us the whole way!! Thank you!!

I’ve been ignoring my fitness and I finally decided to start again. The Lord has been reminding me that showing up is what matters whether you don’t feel like it just do it. Because once you done you feel so good and once you seen what you’ve been working forth you will be so proud of yourself. I’m planning to do this 4x a week at least and I know from this I can advance my workouts. Don’t be too hard on yourself,just show up whether it’s 100% or 50% do it and trust me you will feel awesome🫶🏻

Jo,I was being so consistent for a week. Was feeling so good and working out, and then the Oct 8th came and my Dad was in the hospital. After a hectic month we found out my Dad has cancer and it appears we caught it in time and they removed it all(PRAYING it stays this way) but it’s been such a tumultuous month that I fell totally off the wagon. Finally felt good enough to start again and you posted this. This was just what I needed and your words of encouragement were so helpful. Depression and anxiety episode has had me in bed ridden for most of the day for the past 7 months. This workout was easy and felt good! I’m gonna try and keep up with it every day so I don’t get out of breath when going up the stairs anymore!!! 😭
I LOVE this talk-thru video workout! It's so motivating!!! This is week 2 for me, I came back from a trip the beginning of this month and weighed 227 lbs. I'm coming towards the end of week 2 and I'm 220 lbs currently. Im 27 years old, and I'm eating only homemade food and drinking lots of water! I take occasional walks at night, but I'm in the game this year! I WANT to lose weight!
I finished the work out! My anxiety has been through the roof and it always interrupts my workouts.. its been 4 months of feeling as though my heart cant handle a workout and i finally pushed through this evening.. felt the anxiety but i kept going Please pray for me! I have been trying alot of workouts from different youtubers. But Growwithjo is the only one I believe when it comes to words. I have been exclusively working out to her videos only, and they work better than anything else. Slow and steady, small steps are better than random big steps. She motivated me to keep on doing something every day; even if it was 8 minute express workout. I found Jo 4 years ago, and when I was at my heaviest & weakest her postpartum workouts helped me (I’ve never had a kid) . Just this year I went back to Jo when I was heavy again. And now that I’ve started my fire fighter journey I’ve consistently been doing Jo’s workouts for a month & this video made me cry today. I was not feeling good & im just getting over having COVID , & I didn’t even think I could must this 20 minute workout but I did. Like a baby, I cried. I used to workout and do 200 situps, pushups, squats, etc. Now, it's hard to do those exercises. I know God sent your video to me. It encouraged me so much! Started this work out on Jan 2, 5x a week, eating healthier and in a calorie deficit. I am now 4.5lbs down! First week I lost 2lbs and thought maybe doing this is too much so I started doing two days of her beginner weight workout that’s 15mins. And 3 days of this. So happy I found her workouts as the weight is dropping and I’m losing inches on my body 😊. So glad I decided to go on this journey with you Jo!

I am no beginner but it does feel nice doing this. Such a wonderful reminder of when I started doing Jo's workouts, still so physically weak and unhealthy. Couldn't get past 10 minutes of her low impact workouts. Now I am here, able to finish her intense workouts without feeling like dying. Plus I do cycling now as well. I am so happy with how far I've gone physically and mentally.

This time last year, I was doing 2 of your videos a day HIIT, intense cardio, 45+ mins… I did it all! Fast forward to painful tendinitis, a surgery for it, & now a severe chronic pain disease (CRPS II) My TP told me at this point, I can’t *worsen* it. So after months of treatment I’m easing back into exercise. I can’t believe how out of shape I am! 😂 it’s amazing how fast that goes away. I have attempted a few other floor workouts but not made it past 15 mins. Thank you for being my first work out back to “normal”. I won’t let the pain win. God bless you & merry Christmas ❤

I saw this channel recommended on tiktok and couldn't believe all the positivity about it, and then all the positives comments here I couldn't believe it was actually that good, but someone who struggles to work out but wants to lose weight I thought I'd give it a try. I can't believe it. The workout is really well tailored, after some particularly exhausting exercises I was ready to give up and then the next one was so much easier, before gradually ramping up the challenge again. I think this is something I can stick to. Jo, you're an angel. You're motivating without being condescending, and I'm so excited to keep working out with you!❤

I started watching her videos in 2021 and I lost 55 pounds. 2021 was my best year, I was getting fitter and healthier every day with her workouts. Currently I’m struggling a lot with my mental health but the tiny spark that’s left in me decided to come back to her workouts and at the end of this workout I started crying. Just getting back into working out after a two month hiatus. I started feeling sick around 8/27-8/28 only to find out days later that I had severe bilateral pneumonia. I was admitted through the ER at my local hospital and effectively took a tour, traveling from the ICU to a step-down ICU and finally ended up in a standard hospital room for the last 4 days. I was hospitalized from 9/1-9/8. I started getting back to exercising through your stretching videos and am now slowly building up my cardio strength. Your videos have helped me out so much over the last year. Thank you for all you do.
I spent the last few months preparing for a state exam and neglected working out. This was my 1st workout in months . Like others have commented, I'm in tears. Thank you so so so much for this video, Jo. I used to be in pretty decent shape, but I got sick and lost a ton of weight and felt miserable every day. When I got better, I fell into a habit of over eating and went from the thinnest I've ever been (though I was still not healthy) to the heaviest I've ever been. I recently decided I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes for the sake of my health, so I started with a healthier diet but I knew I also needed to get my body moving again. I tried a "beginner" 25 minute workout I found on youtube and couldn't get through half of it, I couldnt get through a whole set of almost any of the exercises, and I was in pain for days. I was so discouraged. Then I found this video. Not only did I get through the whole thing, I was able to do each individual exercise for the whole duration. I took two 10 second breaks, but I got through all of it! If you read these, just know that you have helped me feel so encouraged and like my goals may actually be possible. I was starting to slip into some old habits, but I am now fully recommited to my goals. Thank you, Jo. 🩵

As someone who struggles with working out because of chronic pain and reactive hypoglycemia, I just finished the first day of working out and I got to tell you, it was super easy and fulfilling! It’s hard for me to do workouts with weights or consistent cardio, but this makes it fly by so fast and I feel like I’m not even burdening my body. Thank you!
I’ve been doing Jo’s workouts on and off for a few years now but I got pregnant last year and stopped working out nearly completely (it’s was a hard pregnancy). I gained like 50 lbs and with my birth ending up in a C-Section, my body felt so weak and my belly looked so different than before. After 5 months of postpartum struggles and low self esteem, I finally started doing Jo’s videos again. I’ve been doing them 5-6x a week for little a little over a month and I’m blown away. The gap in my abs from diastasis recti feels SO much better. It’s closed significantly and my belly already looks tighter and more lean. I’m already starting to feel better, stronger and more like myself again. My clothes are getting looser and not tighter. Im so happy. Thank you, Jo! Today I chose me and did this workout from beginning to end. I almost gave up in the middle, but I pushed myself and by the end of the workout, I bursted into tears which caught me off guard. I feel amazing and I vow to restart my journey and put myself first again. Thank you Jo. Seriously, from the bottom of my heart.

Hi! This is my first time working out after undergoing an operation (It's been almost 2 weeks). I had to pause for a few times because I'm still suffering from post surgical fatigue. I just want to thank you Jo for providing us varieties of workouts that fit everyone's needs.

Hooray i made it through!!! I worked out with Jo a lot but i allowed the negativity to creep in and relapsed but im in recovery again and today i got up off the couch and made it through this whole work out! I always come back to Jo because she motivates amd inspired us!!! Also the workouts are perfectly challenging like she said, but not too hard i feel defeated! Im showing my whole recovery group!
Love this workout. I'm 63 and haven't worked out for over a year. I've gained 10 lbs and need to firm my muscles. I've been doing this workout and another one for 2 weeks. I've lost 2.5 lbs already. Love the music!

First day working out my starting weight is 195 I’m going to do this for thirty days I got this and I’m so excited! Day 2: of my workout I decided to do Jo’s 2000’s workout and had a blast I’ve been doing her 15 minute workouts on the weekends and I feel great and I’m so excited to look great. Day 3: I’ve noticed slight changes I’ve changed my diet a month prior to me working out with Jo and it’s game changer for real! I’ve stopped eating after nine and started to portion my meals better and changed what I do eat in portions and I’m in love with her workouts definitely gonna keep coming back!

To anybody new to GWJ, I promise it works if you’re consistent. I found her over 2 years ago and never went to a gym and lost 100lbs. I usually do more intense videos now but I’m feeling cruddy and needed a pick me up. This was perfect. And remember, if you can only do 5 minutes or 10. That is fine. Just do 6 minutes the next day and 7 the next. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Make it fun not a chore!
I'm new to GWJ. I've been subscribed to her channel for about 2 months or so, and have only done 1 workout. I was gonna ask does this really work, because it seems too easy. The movements, the pace, just doesn't seem like you would be burning enough calories. So I'm glad I saw your comment. Thanks. I guess with 6million subscribers she has to be doing something right.

Today is Jan 11th, 2025 started with this workout. Made a resolution to begin working out but I didn't... and it's been long that I wanted to start working out and prayed for it too... I will have to say God wanted me to do this so he has got me to this page. I weigh 196 pounds right now and promise to continue with this (Jo's) workout with proper diet. did this after a very long depressive episode where i could barely talk myself into brushing my teeth at least once a day. I've always been kinda active so not being able to exercise bumbed me out even more
but things have been getting better lately and i felt like i was ready to do it today and i did!! i feel so much better already and so hopeful

It’s been about a year now since I have fallen off my weight loss. Put on all but 10lbs back. From 230lbs to 170lbs to 220lbs today. I lost myself. Today is a new day. Today I start up again. Dude, literally in the same boat! I've been so stressed out with Uni and everything else and feeling like I couldn't do it, and wanted to quit a few times, and I didn't want to let myself go during Uni. Found these videos and seen that they actually work for her, and I have fun doing them! I also find that I feel better after and like I am able to accomplish things. I also find that it helps me not to be so distracted during Uni. Glad you found these too! Thank the Lord!
I have ADHD too & find that Jo's workouts suit my active mind perfectly.
Gyms were too boring & I couldn't stick to the boring routine.
The music, the arms doing one thing, legs doing another, whilst trying to breathe correctly and crunching the correct muscles is the perfect thing for the way our minds work.
I actually go to the gym with my daughter & tuck into the corner....and flap about like I'm at a silent disco 😆
But it works for me!

I’ve always struggled with exercising, never knowing where to start, becoming demotivated halfway through a video because “beginner” was too much. Thank you for this. This is the only time I’ve managed to not only do a full workout first time, but had a fat smile on my face doing so. You radiate such positivity.
I'm glad I found your channel. I have been exercising using this workout video for 4 days now and it is getting slightly easier to complete each movement correctly. I have tried other "Beginner" workouts before but for some reason the instructors don't seem to understand the meaning of the word and go too fast.
This workout was a lifesaver, I haven't worked out in forever, I'm partially disabled now. The carpets in my place are super thin and I don't have a yoga mat. Even if I did being on the ground hurts my joints too much. This is a true beginners dream! So fun, simple, you encourage us the whole way!! Thank you!!

I’ve been ignoring my fitness and I finally decided to start again. The Lord has been reminding me that showing up is what matters whether you don’t feel like it just do it. Because once you done you feel so good and once you seen what you’ve been working forth you will be so proud of yourself.
I’m planning to do this 4x a week at least and I know from this I can advance my workouts. Don’t be too hard on yourself,just show up whether it’s 100% or 50% do it and trust me you will feel awesome🫶🏻

Jo,I was being so consistent for a week. Was feeling so good and working out, and then the Oct 8th came and my Dad was in the hospital. After a hectic month we found out my Dad has cancer and it appears we caught it in time and they removed it all(PRAYING it stays this way) but it’s been such a tumultuous month that I fell totally off the wagon. Finally felt good enough to start again and you posted this. This was just what I needed and your words of encouragement were so helpful. I LOVE this talk-thru video workout! It's so motivating!!! This is week 2 for me, I came back from a trip the beginning of this month and weighed 227 lbs. I'm coming towards the end of week 2 and I'm 220 lbs currently. Im 27 years old, and I'm eating only homemade food and drinking lots of water! I take occasional walks at night, but I'm in the game this year! I WANT to lose weight!

I have been trying alot of workouts from different youtubers. But Growwithjo is the only one I believe when it comes to words. I have been exclusively working out to her videos only, and they work better than anything else. Slow and steady, small steps are better than random big steps. She motivated me to keep on doing something every day; even if it was 8 minute express workout.

I found Jo 4 years ago, and when I was at my heaviest & weakest her postpartum workouts helped me (I’ve never had a kid) . Just this year I went back to Jo when I was heavy again. And now that I’ve started my fire fighter journey I’ve consistently been doing Jo’s workouts for a month & this video made me cry today. I was not feeling good & im just getting over having COVID , & I didn’t even think I could must this 20 minute workout but I did. Started this work out on Jan 2, 5x a week, eating healthier and in a calorie deficit. I am now 4.5lbs down! First week I lost 2lbs and thought maybe doing this is too much so I started doing two days of her beginner weight workout that’s 15mins. And 3 days of this. So happy I found her workouts as the weight is dropping and I’m losing inches on my body 😊. So glad I decided to go on this journey with you Jo!

It’s been years since I’ve done yoga or exercised at all really… have so much weight to lose!
I am no beginner but it does feel nice doing this. Such a wonderful reminder of when I started doing Jo's workouts, still so physically weak and unhealthy. Couldn't get past 10 minutes of her low impact workouts. Now I am here, able to finish her intense workouts without feeling like dying. Plus I do cycling now as well. I am so happy with how far I've gone physically and mentally.

This time last year, I was doing 2 of your videos a day HIIT, intense cardio, 45+ mins… I did it all!
Fast forward to painful tendinitis, a surgery for it, & now a severe chronic pain disease (CRPS II)
My TP told me at this point, I can’t *worsen* it. So after months of treatment I’m easing back into exercise.
I can’t believe how out of shape I am! 😂 it’s amazing how fast that goes away. I have attempted a few other floor workouts but not made it past 15 mins.

I saw this channel recommended on tiktok and couldn't believe all the positivity about it, and then all the positives comments here I couldn't believe it was actually that good, but someone who struggles to work out but wants to lose weight I thought I'd give it a try.
I can't believe it. The workout is really well tailored, after some particularly exhausting exercises I was ready to give up and then the next one was so much easier, before gradually ramping up the challenge again.
I think this is something I can stick to. Jo, you're an angel. You're motivating without being condescending, and I'm so excited to keep working out with you!❤

I’ve lost 40 pounds so far with her videos .. plus gym but I feel like her videos are what really helped me lose the weight . For future videos you should do a “ on your period “ workout because I have such low energy when I’m on my period lol ❤😂
I started watching her videos in 2021 and I lost 55 pounds. 2021 was my best year, I was getting fitter and healthier every day with her workouts. Currently I’m struggling a lot with my mental health but the tiny spark that’s left in me decided to come back to her workouts and at the end of this workout I started crying. Her kind words of inspiration and motivation really made me realize that it’s worth fighting for a healthy, happy and confident life. Just getting back into working out after a two month hiatus. I started feeling sick around 8/27-8/28 only to find out days later that I had severe bilateral pneumonia. I was admitted through the ER at my local hospital and effectively took a tour, traveling from the ICU to a step-down ICU and finally ended up in a standard hospital room for the last 4 days. I was hospitalized from 9/1-9/8. I started getting back to exercising through your stretching videos and am now slowly building up my cardio strength. Your videos have helped me out so much over the last year. Thank you for all you do.

I had c section last year, i thought i couldn't workout because some people say that those who have had a c section cannot exercise. I lost control and gain weight.

I used to be in pretty decent shape, but I got sick and lost a ton of weight and felt miserable every day. When I got better, I fell into a habit of over eating and went from the thinnest I've ever been (though I was still not healthy) to the heaviest I've ever been.
I recently decided I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes for the sake of my health, so I started with a healthier diet but I knew I also needed to get my body moving again. I tried a "beginner" 25 minute workout I found on youtube and couldn't get through half of it, I couldnt get through a whole set of almost any of the exercises, and I was in pain for days. I was so discouraged.
Then I found this video. Not only did I get through the whole thing, I was able to do each individual exercise for the whole duration. I took two 10 second breaks, but I got through all of it!
If you read these, just know that you have helped me feel so encouraged and like my goals may actually be possible. I was starting to slip into some old habits, but I am now fully recommited to my goals. Thank you, Jo. 🩵
just got back from a year abroad where i was so active and gotten a minimum of 6000 steps a day. at home for 3 months now, and even tho i missed my family, it just hit me how unactive i am here. so i decided to check out your videos to at least make me move again and not just laze around the house or sit at my desk doing work. thanks for the videos, hope this is the start of a more healthy journey for me!

As someone who struggles with working out because of chronic pain and reactive hypoglycemia, I just finished the first day of working out and I got to tell you, it was super easy and fulfilling! It’s hard for me to do workouts with weights or consistent cardio, but this makes it fly by so fast and I feel like I’m not even burdening my body. Thank you!

I’ve been doing Jo’s workouts on and off for a few years now but I got pregnant last year and stopped working out nearly completely (it’s was a hard pregnancy). I gained like 50 lbs and with my birth ending up in a C-Section, my body felt so weak and my belly looked so different than before. After 5 months of postpartum struggles and low self esteem, I finally started doing Jo’s videos again. I’ve been doing them 5-6x a week for little a little over a month and I’m blown away. The gap in my abs from diastasis recti feels SO much better. It’s closed significantly and my belly already looks tighter and more lean. I’m already starting to feel better, stronger and more like myself again. My clothes are getting looser and not tighter. Im so happy. Thank you, Jo! I appreciate these videos so much and am excited to continue my fitness journey. 🤍🙌

I found you during covid, and you were my go to and you helped me completely transform, but since I became a caregiver two years ago and working nonstop, I lost myself and my confidence. Today I chose me and did this workout from beginning to end. I almost gave up in the middle, but I pushed myself and by the end of the workout, I bursted into tears which caught me off guard. Hooray i made it through!!! I worked out with Jo a lot but i allowed the negativity to creep in and relapsed but im in recovery again and today i got up off the couch and made it through this whole work out! I always come back to Jo because she motivates amd inspired us!!! Also the workouts are perfectly challenging like she said, but not too hard i feel defeated! Im showing my whole recovery group!
Love this workout. I'm 63 and haven't worked out for over a year. I've gained 10 lbs and need to firm my muscles. I've been doing this workout and another one for 2 weeks. I've lost 2.5 lbs already. Love the music!

First day working out my starting weight is 195 I’m going to do this for thirty days I got this and I’m so excited!
Day 2: of my workout I decided to do Jo’s 2000’s workout and had a blast I’ve been doing her 15 minute workouts on the weekends and I feel great and I’m so excited to look great.
Day 3: I’ve noticed slight changes I’ve changed my diet a month prior to me working out with Jo and it’s game changer for real! I’ve stopped eating after nine and started to portion my meals better and changed what I do eat in portions and I’m in love with her workouts definitely gonna keep coming back!
I just finished Jo’s workout right now for the first time ever and not gonna lie I think I might be doing her workouts everyday cause how positive she is and her workouts are better than the ones I used to see and I’m so proud of myself that I finally could make it to the whole video in a workout because I usually never can

after suffering with depression I gained a lot of weight, and I couldn’t do anything about it. always trying to go for the hardest one, the most sweaty one, thinking it would help me. but to get better, it’s step by step. we never start from the top. thank you for this exercise, and thank you for motivating me. never felt safer doing one exercise. :)
