Must have been a real kick in the nuts for this US Marine to find himself in a war where the enemy is actually shooting back, you have no air support and 200mm artillery shells are landing on your position like a torrent of rain. These US "veterans" are basically green troops.

@@aidanloveridge1721 Nonsense. He has no veterancy in battle. No experience of an enemy ground attack plane strafing his foxhole. No experience of having to go door to door in a blown out village where he has to face anything but scared civilians, women and children. No experience in seeing dozens of casualties happen in the blink of an eye. No experience seeing his friend get his cranium blown out by an enemy sniper mid sentence.
Being able to quickly disassemble and reassemble your rifle has no value on a battlefield. We've seen a lot of stories now of these US soldiers who went in thinking they're hot shit having a rough awakening when faced with reality of a modern war between two peer-ish forces, except now you're the underdog.

What I find both intereasting and consurning is how ever interview with ppl who fought in Iraq, Afganistan or Ukraine I see they always say "this is something I felt was cool", "I didn't like civilians getting hurt", "I felt this is something important/historic I can be a part of" or something along those lines.
As if all they are comfterble with doing is being in active deployment or they need to be part of something big and historic.
All well and good, though civilians always get hurt at protests, backroom politics, greedy corporate policy or ANY war. Just like they did in Afganistan, Iraq, Yemen or Hong-Kong, ww2... By soldiers who thought and wanted the EXACT same thing.

Hey Willy! Love your channel, the interviews are by far my favorite part. I’m disappointed you arent getting more views!
If you have the time and resources I would recommend adding descriptions in the video bar in these longer videos. A 2-3 hour video is daunting and it would benefit everyone if we could skip to conversations and descriptions we are interested in. I constantly find myself skipping ahead looking for juicy tidbits.
Also, many other people take these cool splices of the entire conversation and post 10-20min videos with a catchy title. Many people won’t click on long cifosis
Anyways, keep up the good work. I want to see you succeedd and get more views! Both of these techniques should get you more exposure.

First of all, really cool interview.
The claim that Russia is using human wave strains credulity. It looks like a big country, but it's not so much bigger than Ukraine in terms of population. They also don't have a whole lot of troops on or near the front line to do that in any consistent way - they would notice back home in Russia and we would have heard about it by now. There's also the factor of multiple pro-Russian war reporters on the front line who are critical of command strategies and Putin himself, and none of them are talking about human wave. The absurd and disgusting claim taints for me everything else this dude heard 2nd hand.

You should probably read up on the latest think tank white papers then. Russia has multiple classes of soldiers in terms of value and skill, and yes, the lowest tier are termed disposable i.e. used as waves, or to flush out artillery/ defensive positions.
These troops mainly consist of the released prisoners and less desirable conscripts.
But to your point, no, Russia is not just arbitrarily sending troops in wave assaults, it's generally a very deliberate and specific subset of their troops.

@@sirkl4272Look up Prigozhins interview. He addresses the human wave tactics and says it’s utterly hilarious. The job of an infantry man is to to clear trenches and buildings and have a high chance of dying. This is the reality with every force on earth.

Amazing he fights for Ukraine while Syria, Iraq, Libya, and other countries have their territory violated by the US. Priceless.

I remember in the 90s when police couldn't go onto most bases(without clearance). Could have local/state police chasing and they would lose jurisdiction chasing you onto base. They can get you nowadays.
