So NO it doesnt need 30years...we've been in the EU for more than 30 years nothing changed...The funny part is the west at first was all about meritocracy...but lets be real...THEY ARE DOING THE SAME THING...especially USA...the lobbying in DC is EXACTLY THAT...

      I dont think Ukraine expected it to be so heavily mined. Yeah, they saved a lot of weapons in reserve from bakhmut, but didnt get to use any of them. Doesnt mean what he is saying isnt true though. Lots of human resources used in bahkmut though

    • @radhikaperera1293
      @radhikaperera1293 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@ArchesBroThe tanks and the IFV are being used right now in pointless defense of Donbass. Trading time for land would only make sense if you have the capacity to replenish your forces over time in a much more accelerated phase than your opponent. That's why Russia always used that strategy against technologically superior enemies. Because they can always come back stronger where as your opponent cannot replenish the losses in the same rate as you can. Ukraine doesn't have that luxury. Out of pre war population of 40 million only 28 million still remain in the country. I don't think Ukraine can replenish it's forces that to the level that is require to turn the tide in this war. This would result in slow attrition of Ukriane side both in terms of outside support and the amount of troops it can mobilize.

      It makes sence if you think a little bit, what he did describe was the start of the war and battle of Kiev. At that time attacking party was in total disorganisation and that was obvious. After that he did speak about battle of bakhmut where majority of heavy lifting was done by convicts and wagner, he did prise the original wagnerites, not the convicts. Imo only from the autumn of the last year the russkies managed to reorganise their army and now regular army is doing the heavy lifting. Just how i see this conflict.

    My interpretation of why RU pored so much into Bakhmut is completely reverese of the Georgian fighters take on it: While UA was 'fixed' in Bakhmut and RU was sacrificing convicts, RU got a window of opprotunity to make necessary adjustments to their already shattered army while also being able to fortify Zaporizhzhia. Isn't that one of the main reason UAs counter-offensive failed? Isn't that why RU has the upper hand today? When Bakhmut was over, RU had prepared this huge army while UA was exhausted from fighting Wagner for 9 months.

    Trading land for time is an old Russian/Soviet doctrine that makes sense for Russia due to its large population and vast size. However, it makes little sense when applied to Ukraine. Unlike Russia, Ukraine has neither land to trade nor men to spare for such a strategy to work. So, if anyone believes Ukraine is trading land for time, they are deluding themselves. Ukraine is losing land it desperately wants to hold and men it cannot replace, which is the exact opposite of what the trading land for time doctrine implies.

      I said "you can be quite certain, the guy is who he claims he is" and not "the guy is right with everything he said". Learn to interpret dude.
      Who you certainly know is anecdotal at best. You are no one and you could be a Russian troll in the worst case. So why should anyone believe you more?? Fugget about it.
      When it comes to Bakhmut, casualties were high on both sides and we won't get to know the true casualty numbers until years after the war. It's fair to assume however, that Russian casualties were higher. I doubt though the K/D was like 10:1 in favor of Ukraine as he claims. That's Ukrainian prop surely.
      Last not least, you probably don't like to hear, what he has to say, and hereby neglect everything he mentions. Willy interviewed people from all parts of the spectrum. Heck, he even had a Wagner guy on his channel, allowing him to freely spit out his Russian bullshit. Wasn't easy for me to watch that one. Still, I respect him, like I do respect every man who puts his life on the line and in the end, he is just a human being. A funny one but also a very nationalistic one. So, don't say the interviewee "is an artificial character" just because you don't like what he says. Don't forget, he is just one soldier in one specific unit and experiences can vary vastly. With that being said, we could certainly agree that his statements show the most "optimistic" view on the Ukrainian situation, which we have heard by a Ukrainian fighter in quite a while.

    Great insights, certainly explains some of the logic in post-soviet thinking, as well as the reasoning behind some of the war tactics. I heard the argument about dropping bakhmut defence a while back before it was taken over by vagner, but it always came down to one conclusion - if they drop the defence effort there, they will still need to put in the resources and set their defences further inland into Ukraine...

Usually I don't think much is gleaned from these interviews as individual soldiers experiences don't tell us the big picture but I enjoyed this interview more than any Willy has done . Partly I think this guy is likeable so that had something to do with it but also he is knowledgeable about the war and history behind it . He's biased of course but we can see his bias .I feel like this interview actually taught me about the war and not just some war bro boasting about his combat experience .

And its still collecting by locals and selling it. If you want to buy georgian tea it can be done easilly. There are some local teafarms exists in Ajaria nowadays. The Russians retreated from Kherson to choose Bakhmut as the battle site because Bakhmut is 100 km from the Russian border and Kherson is much further. One does not have to be general to understand what that means when we talk about logistics.

You NAFO bots are ridiculous, stop acting like Russia doesn't have any sort of capabilities or basic competence to do what is essentially minor things that could have easily been done over a century ago. I'm fkn tired of seeing it from you guys. Is Russia doing the greatest in this war? No. However, is Russia just a bumbling toddler that can't even walk by itself? No. Give them at least some sort of credit, if for no other reason than to protect your stupid nafo-ukrainian soldier's lives by taking the threat posed by Russians seriously.

    I knew from this side of the Georgian view he wasn't going be nice towards his views on them which I can settle with.
    But we're talking military and warfare and the need to be fair and honest about one's enemies.
    He's lying... Not really for other people but really for himself now.
    You don't need to be on either side to see and hear this he's dealing with shit we know he's wrong and we know he's doubling down but it's clear he's dealing with shit mix in with already foundational bias and sadly I think he will die with this mindset.
